- The X100VI sadly isn't for me, but it might be just what you're looking for. My thoughts after a month.

Leica owner reviews are always a comparison video.
I bought the x100vI for photo and not for video. It is worth the upgrade for the faster processor, better autofocus, 40mp and IBIS. Also being able to connect the x100vI directly to my iPhone with a usb-c cable to import pics is another reason to upgrade from the x100v. The app works great but using a cable is faster.
Whoever has one and doesn’t think it’s worth it, let me buy it. As a dad, this is the perfect “dad cam”. The x100v lacks the stabilized video. Creators over hyped it but it great for capturing family moments for simple hobbyists.
This was probably the most honest camera review I have ever watched. Loved it!

X100S = "second". X100T = "third". X100F = "fourth". Fifth one couldn't also be "F" so they went with V, roman for 5, rest is history etc etc

I think the idea of having those ports on the handgrip side is because it’s not a vlogging camera, because it only has a tilt and not flip screen. Second even it has IBIS but still not good enough for smooth footage. So it’s better to pair with a gimbal, and with this setup you don’t need to hold the camera. For casual video, most people will just use the built in mic. For amateur, a gimbal and external mic help up the game. It’s not created to use as a vlogging camera, cause Fuji has the XE-4 and XS-20 for this purpose and if higher end video camera there’re XT-5 or XH2. So the X100 line is more on shooting still plus video capabilities as bonuses. Reviewers mostly wanna have an all in one camera and start pointing out cons which are not the main strength or focus of a product. If so the Leica M would be a shitty camera because it can’t even have an external mic and no auto focus plus tilt screen.
People trying to use this for video are kidding themselves, IMO. Don't care what the marketing says. This is for photographers.

And my clockwork Fuji 6x9 must also be cr*p as it’s film and needs my 50 year old Weston meter…..think it out Leicas a Leica though……I’m staring at a 5x3 ft print from the Fuji 6x9. How many Leica owners actually make large prints?

I had a Fuji X30 and have an XE2s the X30 looked like the X100v with evf only and the 28-112mm lens had a control ring on the outside and was my perfect camera but I gave it to an economically challenged girl in the Philippines however I still own the XE2 with a pancake lens. Too bad they stopped both types as they were extremely affordable and almost the same body as the X100 series. people have always complained about the ignorant 2.5mm mike jack but the engineers simply dont care if you like it or not because they know youll buy it anyways. But for now it seems like the X100VI is the latest perfect EDC do it best camera since unlike the GRiii this camera includes a flash.
The flash is a very nice feature for sure

I hope that people do not start requesting things that are not the purpose of this camera such as video, if you want a camera that makes video and has everything adjusted to measure, buy a DSRL
Fujifilm marketing this as being great for video so stop talking about things you don’t understand 😂

Honestly, (and I never thought I'd say this as a 40 year camera geek), I'd stick to the iPhone (if it's a current Pro model). I took my Leica Q2 on a European trip last year and the iPhone took better photos (for posting online) in just about every condition, plus was compact, stealthy and always ready to go. Maybe if you're going to blow up and print your photos, you need all those MPs.
@@stevewalsh5479so true! I've been enjoying my 13 pro camera a lot! I had the iPhone 7 for so long and took a lot of photos with that - they've aged terribly as tech has advanced so rapidly, just didn't want that to happen again!
The x100V won't have IBIS. That may be a big deal to some.

You don't need the Leica Q-series of cameras either...

Q2 wins on IQ easily. X100VI is incredibly faster in both performance and auto focus

Hey this may seem random but Does the button on your evf/ovf lever feel loose to you? Also does it spin around? I just got my x100vi and can’t find anyone else with one to compare it to.
Sorry for the late reply I just had a look and no mine does not feel loose. it does have some movement to it but it doesn’t feel loose
