    Everyone, please use a HID projection kit! They are 25 dollars. They are what the HIDs go into so the light is focused on the ground instead of blinding people. It is somewhat hazardous otherwise. Why make it easier for you to see, when it's more of a hazard for other? Please be curious when converting to HIDs. They are a great invention, but being responsible is very important. One brand is Nilight. Thanks.

    The reason being is that some (not all) of the HID conversion kits will need the headlamps to be readjusted, otherwise they will be shooting up too high and blinding everyone on the road, just like high beams would. Totally uncool, but totally fixable.

    Thanks for the video very informative. I don't have an hid projection kit on my jeep and they work as if it was the bulb itself. Other drivers don't seem bothered by them because nobody has flashed their high beams at me, I also think the ones who scatter the light are the aftermarket headlights from what I've seen. So I don't understand all this hate.

    hey I gota ask you something ? , it looks like you have a newer car dose the HID's burn your headlight lens ? I own a 2014 mazda 3 GS and I want to get HID's for myn but I don't want to wreck the Lens's

    • @dylanclay2741
      @dylanclay2741 10 лет назад +1

      HIDs dont burn as hot as halogens

    • @doublespeeded9369
      @doublespeeded9369 10 лет назад

      No it doesn't.
      You will not wreck your lens.
      HID bulbs use less wattage (usually 35w as apposed to 55w halogens)
      So it actually generates less heat, using less power but 2 - 3 times the brightness.

    Just realized I bought 10000k bulbs and the 80000k I have now I'm.going to replace with the 10000k bulbs will the ballest still work and put out the 10000k

    • @Alphahid
      @Alphahid 9 лет назад +1

      Wayne Mc Cabe Hey Wayne, I would definitely consider using a lower temperature bulb. The 5000k or 6000k will still have a blue hue but will be significantly brighter and won't bother other drivers.
      As for your question, the bulb temperatures are interchangeable with ballasts. So the 10000k would work.

      +Alden Mujanovic find the bulb size for your car and the corresponding HID kit (make sure it comes with a ballast not just the bulb) the different rating are the tint of the light colour 10,000k are like pure blue 8,000k lighter blue and 6,000k are super whites

    I want to put HID's on my truck. On Acura vehicles, their HID headlights "blink" or "pop" or "flash" (call it whatever you want) when they come on. I noticed yours didn't do that when turning the lights on. How can mine "blink"? Thanx!!

    • @EngageTutorials

      zach crabtree I'm not too entirely sure. I didn't have that problem. I even bought a new car since I released this video and it came with HID headlights from the factory and they don't blink either. You shouldn't have a problem though, if you put them in your truck.

    Plug & Play aftermarket install...I don't think that is a good idea in my opinion because you run the risk of blowing fuses and possibly overheating the cars stock wiring, ruining it. By using a relay harness in between connections to the ballast, that seems safer to me and if anything goes wrong with the wiring, it is easier to change / fix the relay harmess instead of changing / fixing the cars stock wiring.

      +A Dawg 6000k's are good but just bright white (no color) and dont have a long range. 8000k's are brighter combined with an crystal blue (really light blue) color and the range go further also seems to spread so your surroundings become more visible. I will never go back to 6000k's, still better then nothing but i just think 6000k's should be cheaper for their price.

    You should retitle this video to be more accurate. Something along the lines of "How to install trash fake-ass HID headlights like poor people who can't spend the extra $50 to do it right with projectors". This isn't a conversion, this is swapping bulbs, it's what broke high school kids do because they are too dumb to know any better. People defending and /or doing this are the worst kind of stupid; you tell other people to deal with being blinded because your foodstamps and wic vouchers won't cover the cost of the projectors you really want. Blue bulb swaps are only considered cool in two places, section 8 housing and trailer parks.
