JogBird she unfortunately has medical debt that we can only imagine. Her family has had to make some very hard sacrifices recently in order to cope.
I can tell you from personal experience that it doesn't matter how good your insurance may or may not be, it still causes financial hardships. It wasn't breast cancer for me but in 2016, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. Thankfully, it was only one time. Couldn't imagine fighting this dreadful disease 8 times. However, that one time wiped out me and my husband financially. We had to drain every penny we had saved to cover not only costs that our insurance didn't pay but cover our regular monthly bills because of all the time I had to miss from work. Between all the treatments and all of the surgeries I missed almost a whole year of work. Not consecutively. Thankfully I have a job that allowed me to work when I would feel I could. Wasn't that often. Near then end of my treatments, I was given a chemo type pill that allowed me to work while still going through treatment. I wish I could've done that from the beginning but my cancer needed aggressive treatment. I'm so happy she's at a point she can work but I have a feeling she's going through some type of financial hardship. I thought we had great health insurance too. We found out quickly how that really doesn't matter when it comes to cancer treatments

I AM BAWLING!!! Two years ago I was also fighting breast cancer. This song, Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" got me through along with some other songs every time I went in for chemo. And just like Garth Brooks said once... "You go out there and KICK CANCER'S @$$!!" YOU GOT THIS GIRL! (This November 3rd marks two years in remission for me!)

Mrs. Marshall is a fighter and has taught all her kids to never ever give up!! She was my son’s 3rd grade teacher and she truly LOVES all her students and they become her kids forever! Financially this has been a huge struggle and has impacted her family beyond words!! This go fund me was created to help her family.
