First day of Lucifer on earth, yet he dresses like he's from the 70's. So was he here in the 70's? Fantastic reaction ❤️
They sorta explain at some point that Lucifer would escape for brief periods but before this his brother would always force him to go back after a few hours to a couple days.
This episode is definitely good and I appreciate it a lot more now than I did before but when a lot of us watched it live, we had to wait a long time to see this one compared to the previous episode because it was the mid season break. A lot of us were kinda furious they chose a non storied episode to follow up - the previous episode aired December 11th and this one premiered January 1st of the next year. Also, it was 5 years from when he entered earth to the Pilot.
Yeah you noticed too how Lucifer "sensed" Chloe in that fight Club ( Future Lux)...

Believe me, Amenadiel has the same feelings for you, too.
For me, Amenadiel is some sort of humming top. He is spinning around and sometimes it looks like he is getting out of control (e.g. in season one he was trying to kill Lucifer) but he always returns to an upright position by himself. The majority of humans is trying to be good. But a lot of us are struggling and are doing some bad deeds during our lifetime. Amenadiel seems to have the same struggles but due to his strength and clearness of thoughts he always corrects himself and returns to his most adorable state: a fighter for the light.
Did you also notice the amount of continuity of the writers of Lucifer ? In this episode (s03e11) Chloe and Amenadiel meet for the first time. But in episode s01e07, they really meet for the first time. Lucifer introduces Amenadiel to Chloe and Chloe does not remember him. Well that is because in s03e11 Amenadiel is wearing some colorful shorts, heavy sunglases and a cap. So the writers put in some effort why Chloe does not remeber him. Nicely done !
Because Star Wars is one of my all-time favorite movie, I like to explain the scene of Lucifer and Chloe in this way:
When Lucifer and Chloe stand nearby, Lucifer feels a disturbance in the force. Throughout the complete show, these moments are very very rare. But they always have a strong influence on the story. Remember episode s03e01 ? Lucifer and Amenadiel were talking about divinity. But Lucifer told him that he felt a disturbance in the force: something much more darker. I hope you continue to watch Lucifer and give some entertaining and well-thought ideas in your reaction videos. Thx a lot !
Chloe probably became a detective because of this case.
It is clear what was the reason why Amenadiel could not take Lucifer back to hell by force, it was because of the deal they made.
The scene on the beach, where Maze cuts Lucifer's wings, is very important, it is Lucifer's declaration to his father that he does not want to have any kind of dependence on the heavenly host. It's like splitting off from the rest of the host. It is a statement saying I AM NO LONGER AN ANGEL, I AM THE DEVIL
