So Larry Bird? Lol....let me say this before we fight...MJ was a phenomenal ball player....Larry Bird wasn't graceful on the court but his game instinct was through the roof...in my opinion Larry was a more instinctually ball player
I live in Chicago and was at one of the finals games and Michael walked down the side of the court and I was in the 9th row and I stood up and said “MICHAEL!” and he turned around to me and smiled and waved. Best day ever 🙌🏼
Some of the greatest days in America.. I'm happy you experienced that.. I was a young knick fan. Dislike Jordan but he is and always will be the greatest in our lifetime
Everyone thought I was crazy, flying to Chicago from Melbourne for 2 nights to see one Bulls game in 1997, 10 rows from the front...but I saw Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, Longley (fellow Aussie), Phil Jackson and the man himself in the flesh...best night of my life!
Michael is 6'6". I also saw him play live at the United Center and it was magical. We had floor seats beneath one of the baskets. At one point, Jordan nearly jumped over a defender to dunk. There has never been anyone like him and I doubt there will ever be another.
I was fortunate to watch MJ play live 36 times 30 Times in my hometown of Chicago and in other arenas. Twice had court side seats in 1996 . It was literally mind blowing seeing greatness in action
I grew up in the Northern suburbs of Chicago and was 13 when Jordan won us the first championship. Funny thing was I had the honor of meeting him twice at common stores and then later got to tag along with my dad at a luncheon for a charity he was supporting. Amazing man. Actually took the time to joke around with me, the only kid at the luncheon.😊
I grew up in Chicago and was blessed to witness his entire career. I was able to see him live 12 times and I can't express enough how magical it was to watch him, he was poetry in motion.
I tell people that Jordan played in 91, 92, and 93, and all three years they won the championship. He retired in '94 and the Bulls didn't win. He comes back out of retirement at the end of the season in '95 and they didn't win. He's back for the full seasons of '96, '97, and '98, and they win all 3 years. He retires again and they lost since then. How does that not show how great Jordan was.
At the beginning of games when they announced the starting line-ups. When the lights went down and that iconic music started to play, the chills would start... when they got to the last starter and you heard those famous words, and now from North Carolina, a 6'6" guard.. MICHAEL JORDAN!! It was deafening, you thought the roof was going to collapse and not a hair on anyone's body was not sticking straight out.. everytime I was there it was the same feeling.. Biggest chills moments in my entire life.. one of those had to be there moments. Never been equaled.
Being from Chicago, my dad never missed a game. That being said, the music with the announcer’s voice use to scare the crap out of my sister and I 😂 we were only toddlers but my dad said we always cried every time he just tried to watch the game.
@@willygraphics360 Thank you buddy. I laugh my butt off from idiots who try to compare Lebron James #6 to Michael Jordan #23. There is no comparison period. Larry Bird's name comes up. Still comparing Lebron James is sorry. He still doesn't compare to the NBA greats before him. He is a laughing stock for real. He is now the most hated athlete in the NBA because of his behavior and his mouth. Thinking you are someone you are not. It is a huge embarrassment.
@@ChrisAndrewsHeavenAngel mhh I agree on everything you said about Jordan, Bird, etc but LeBron is not a bad dude, I don't see what you see on him. Maybe you hate him so much for no reason? If he surpasses everyone as an all time scorer in the NBA, doesn't that makes him be among the greats to ever play the game? Yap he got much time 20+ yrs in the league, but that ain't a reason he's great. I have huge respect for Lebron James. And I don't get it why people hate him for no reason, many hate him for nothing 💔. But MJ and Kobe would always be on my first list. MJ on top!! 🔥
Not only did I see him in his prime, I saw it often while sitting 6” from the court as a local videographer getting highlights for the news. He even bumped into me one time as his momentum from a dunk had him go off the court a bit. Gave me a little ‘what are you doing there’ glare 😂 which I deserved! Greatest ever.
I ran into him on my 8th grade class trip at the Rock n’ Role McDonald’s in Chicago. He took pictures with every single one of us and bought all of our food. We had over 100 people in our group! He was amazing!!!
I never seen him live, but I had the privilege to watch him all the time in his prime on TV. He appeared to defy the laws of gravity, no situation was too big for him. You could trash talk him...but it would only go bad for you. He elevated his game and played so hard all the time. Never took a game off. He gave me more joy watching him than any other sports athlete that I've ever seen.
Growing up in Chicago in the 90s Michael Jordan was and still is the GOAT. I am so lucky to say I was at his last game at the United Center. Went to so many games in the 90s and have so many memories!
Grew up watching MJ. The man is the GOAT. Watching him play was truly something special. He made everyone want to play basketball. Not only could he score but he was a phenomenal defensive player as well.
North Carolina boy here. I remember the '82 championship and Jordans entire rise to stardom. To say we are proud is understating it. To know that he's a global phenomenon, you're in NZ and you know, it's beyond awesome
Tobacco Road girl here agreeing with you! Dean Smith knew how to spot that skinny Wilmington kid and develop him into a legend. Love them both and still miss Dean.
The look of reverence in your children's eyes is beautiful. It seems like reverence is being lost here in America. You're raising your family right, my friend. Its precious to see.. truly
I watched Mike play during his prime. I followed his whole career from his rookie year until he finally really retired. There has never been and probably will never be, a professional athlete that was as great and special as Michael Jordan was. Not only was he so incredibly talented and could do whatever he wanted on the court, but he also had that intangible thing. That je ne sais quoi, something you can’t wrap your hands around or give a name to but you knew it was just a once in a lifetime thing. Michael was ferocious, determined, intense, almost psychotic with how competitive he was and he was like watching the ballet during a basketball game. So smooth, so graceful, poetry in motion. He was the ultimate WINNER!!! There have been a couple people who came fairly close to being as good, but nobody has really reached that level. Kobe Bryant was the closest. But still wasn’t as good as Michael. I still watch games from the 90’s with him because even after all this time, it’s still so special to see him in action. He was and is a super hero! He changed the face of the nba, he changed how people got paid for sneaker endorsements and there will never ever be another Michael “Air” Jordan. Even if there comes along an athlete that can fly and do inhuman things, Michael was and always will be, The Greatest of All Time!
There is really only one other professional athlete that ever came close and that was Tiger Woods. But still nobody touches Jordan he was beyond special. He had IT whatever IT was and IT makes him the greatest.
I completely agree with you. I also think Kobe was a distant 2nd to MJ. There have been players who might have been more athletic, more talented, and even more charismatic, but none of them had the whole package like MJ did. This generation can say Lebron is the goat and they would be wrong. Lebron is talented and athletic but doesn't have the drive, competitiveness, or decision-making skills that MJ did. Lebron can rack up points upon stats upon years, but if you gave me $10,000 to watch a game now with Lebron in it or I had to pay $100 to watch MJ live in his day, I would pick MJ every time.
@@tommishler3335 Bird was a monster! He intimidated most players in the league because of how great he was and how fearless he was. The stories told about Bird by his contemporaries are incredible! He is definitely one of the greatest. And I’m a lifelong Celtics fan. Lived in Boston. Grandfather worked at the Garden. But the truth remains that Michael was just the very best.
Gretzky. Doesn’t matter if you don’t care about hockey. What he did and numbers he put up might never be seen again. Check out the all time points record
@@yournewzealandfamily i highly recommend for mom and dad “The Last Dance” it’s a 10 part docu-series chronicling Jordan’s career with particular focus on the 97-98 season, his last season with Chicago. I really think Sam will enjoy it, they also go a little further into the murder of his father and his decision to retire the first time
I saw him live in Chicago. This highlight reel does not do him justice. He was a team player; he passed, he rebounded, he made layups, he made dunks, he made long shots, he suckered opponents in and passed off to his team mates for the score. He did it all. That's why he's a GOAT, he played as part of a team.
Watched every game in his prime, watching this made my eyes water because I remember when his dad died and he was in the locker room after the finals win on the floor rolling crying for his dad. That really got to me and I'm sure millions of people.
A better video to watch for MJ is The Jordan Mix Tape. It is a real good demonstration of his actual skill. This doesn't even come close to the magic that he carried with him. Seeing him in person was a whole magical experience. That man did things that us mere mortals could only dream of.
Not when he got older he just settled for his fade away jump shot the last half of his career... He did have the best team though and no Lakers Dynasty to have to face every year to win championships...
He was born in Brooklyn, NY. He moved to North Carolina in his adolescent years. He attended UNC(University of North Carolina. He's 6'6" and he is the G.O.A.T.
@edward Pooler. He moved to North Carolina before his adolescent years. Jordan was about a year and a half old or two when his parents moved to the south.
@@MTXSHO9732vV8SHO Jordan ever score a 100 in one game , ? ever average 36 rebounds during playoff runs ? shhh ! be quiet ..P.S Bill Russel has 11 NBA titles
There was never a fiercer competitor in all of sports than Michael Jordan, he was completely obsessed with winning, in every single game, regular season or play-offs, 20 points up or down, on every single possession, offensive or defensive, working like crazy on both ends of the floor. And he was also incredibly talented and had a great work ethic. Put all of that together and you have the greatest basketball player of all time.
He is the reason I started watching basketball at age 9 in 1989. A young girl from Texas who fell in love with his Airness! Loved the tongue hanging out, his theme song "Be Like Mike" and the amazing starting lineup music. I cried when he retired in the summer of 1993. I think people forget that his father's murder really did push him to that emotional place of not wanting to continue basketball without his father. He came back almost 2 full seasons later and the very next season he dominated another 3 peat! Just wonder how many extra numbers would have been there had his dad not been murdered. I just think that a footnote needs to be added when people doubt he is the greatest. I've seen him play and it was truly the best game I watched in person ever! I have also been fortunate to see Kobe play in his prime as well. He was also an amazing player. Make sure you guys visit during the NBA season October-MidApril to catch a game! So much fun!
Seeing him play live was incredible as a kid growing up in Chicago. The energy was wild, the intro gave you goosebumps and you could tell when he had the ball without looking from the roar of the crowd. You always feel hyped but never felt nervous for the Bulls when he was playing.
I grew up watching Jordan and every kid pretended to be him. No player has ever even came close to being as great as him. He was one of the best defense players in the game, he was incredibly accurate at shooting, and his dunks were unmatched. He also had such a great innate understanding of the game and how to win. He played basketball like a master chess player plays chess. He sees the moves way before they even happen. There were so many times that he would score over half of his team's points. He was also very good at passing the ball, even though he had a reputation for not doing it as often as other players. He was very hard on his teammates. He pushed them really hard to be the best they could be, but he pushed himself harder than anyone else. He was also very gracious. He never claimed to be the greatest, even though everyone knew he was. He gave credit to his teammates and his coach, and never took the credit for himself. He also mentored Kobe Bryant. He treated him like a brother. A great man all around.
I love the joy on the kids and mums face.. The little boy is transfixed who knows what kind of inspiration going through him and the impact on his life to come..Amazing
I got to see Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman play live. I'm from Chicago, so I watched his career from about 1987 on since I was born in 1982. He was the best!!
I saw MJ when he was in college at North Carolina..I was only 7 years old but remember it like yesterday..he was killing anyone. Also watched him on TV live in the Finals of 1991, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98..he and The Bulls were 25-1 in playoffs series from 1991 to 1998..the most dominant player I've ever seen period.
I saw MJ live maybe 10 seats away from the court during the 72 win season vs the Hawks in Atlanta. I thought I'd be amazed at his jumping ability. No. He was SO FAST....your brain couldn't process what you were seeing. He spun on Blaylock and went baseline for the dunk and I had to watch the replay to see the spin move. He was unbelievable. Dropped 34 that night. I got to see the Babe Ruth of 🏀.
I lived in Chicago during his prime and got to see him play a few times! I also went to MSU with Magic Johnson so I saw him play many times when he was just learning his game along with Larry Bird!🤣
Watching the games in real time.. is unexplainable. Not because he was as good as he was, but when they needed those buzzer beaters or by half time where down by 12 and it looked grim. You knew in your heart he was gonna do it. It was like a fairy tale. And he made his whole team better it was so incredible to watch
I've seen every game and highlight video over and over and over...and i still get chills every single time. Jordan was must see tv on a level the human race might never experience again. Alot of people back then didn't even think he was human caus it just didn't make sense how incredible he was. When his father was murdered and he retired it's like the world stopped til he came back
Growing up in Chicago during the Jordan Era... there is just no way I could describe it. The most recognizable -athlete- PERSON on the Planet, and he was ours! That's how Chicagoans felt about MJ (still feel that way!) We loved him and appreciate everything he did for this city! I almost never missed a game at that time. When the Bulls started winning Championships, that's when things really picked up. His popularity, as well as his professionalism, were at an all time high, and it was a blast to have lived through it!!
I live in New England and I'm a huge fan of the Celtics. I grew up with my favorite player Larry Bird. Larry is one of the greatest players to have ever lived. Larry may be my favorite, but Michael is the greatest to have played. I am so grateful I was able to witness his years for North Carolina to Chicago. He was truly amazing!!!!
Growing up in the 90s with an idol like Michael was truly special. The OBSESSION and the love that so many people held in their hearts for a single player is unmatched. It's almost emotional to look back and watch him in these videos. Michael drew in a lot of people who otherwise probably wouldn't be fans of basketball because of how great he was and even back then I felt like there would never be another player like him. People will try to debate that other basketball players today could outplay Michael but he will never be beat. He was a phenomenon and a living legend.
I tear up every time I watch the beginning of Space Jam when Mike is a kid shooting hoops on a tired looking basket his dad made for him. Real shame he lost his father that way. RIP.
I was born and raised in a suburb of Portland, Oregon. All the Blazer fans were greatly upset that Portland passed over Jordan. We knew that, with him, and the rest of the team like Drexler, Kersey, and Porter, we’d have won all the championships that Jordan helped the Bulls win. It’s still a sore subject with the fans 39 years later.
I saw him play once when I was a kid at the Spectrum in Philly against the Sixers probably even before the first 3 championships or maybe after the first at the latest. It felt like everyone in the arena was there to watch Jordan even at an away game and you could feel the buzz every time he scored. Getting to see him dunk a couple times in person is something I'll always remember.
I think the best thing about this is, Joe Vincent's video has been watched by the whole world now. The editing and the sound effects are beyond anything I've watched out about any athlete out there, so graceful and skillful on RUclips.
Michael was in his final 2 years at UNC when I moved back to North Carolina and started watching ACC basketball. I've still never seen anyone who comes close to him. He had such style and skill. I was lucky enough to see him play in Greensboro - close enough to see that tongue when he was making a shot. The best player ever.
This is something you'll never forget, the moves, the hoops, the shoes, everything. It's really beautiful that you are all watching this especially the kids. I'm glad you guys really enjoy it and I'm happy you all watched the movie Air!
You have a beautiful family! Anywhere in the world, those who saw MJ on real and reel will never forget, ever. Absolute legend. Im 35 years old and still get emotional remembering this. Never ever felt near the same with current athletes. The 90's were golden! Thank you, Mj!
This is the reason why he is the GOAT. He isn't just great with personal accolades, but his overall impact and influence. He is that watchable. His games and highlights are always fun seeing on repeat, unlike the self-proclaimed one.
Jordan loved baseball and discussed leaving basketball to play baseball even before his father was murdered. That event was the catalyst or impetus to push him toward it as baseball was his father's favorite sport and he did it partially to honor his memory. The year he won his 4th championship (when they won a record 72 games) the title was won ON father's day and was the first time he'd won since his dad died. Quite emotional and I guess fitting that it happened on that day.
I grew up in Chicago and had Bulls season tickets from 1984 to 1995 and watched every home game in person to include playoffs and finals games. In fact, during one of the championship final games in Chicago, my sister got a concussion and couldn’t make the game so we gave a ticket to a random kid on the street who had never seen a game in person. So his first game watching Michael Jordan in person was watching Jordan win the finals MVP and another Championship. People were celebrating and flipping cars over in the streets. Scared the heck out of me.
I loved your comment about Messi in comparison. Messi is an Awesome footballer. Probably the best one ever. He didn't change how soccer was played worldwide though. Jordan changed the way EVERYONE played and still plays basketball. That is why he is the GOAT of all sports.
Yessssssss I was blessed to see him in his prime and I'm also blessed to have grown up an hour outside of Chicago to see his entire career and there's nobody close when it comes to the GOAT 🐐 💯💪🏿🙌🏿
If you never seen it than you have not seen Larry Bird. Passing was unreal, he was a true sharpshooter and just look at at his fowel shot percentages, A true team player, always gave all and played to win, his leadership on the team was unmatched, and his showman ship although reserved was something to see. Was the clutch player of all time and is also widely known as the #1 trash talker to date but can and did back it all up. Maybe watch... Making The Case - Larry Bird. 😉
@@cristianv1078 all Jorden could do was jump. Watch Making the Case - Larry Bird than come on back. Birds stats are better. Watch the match up between Bird and Jorden than you will see that Bird is the GOAT but MJ is still at the top of the list.
I grew up a fan of the Detroit Pistons living across the border in Windsor Ontario I had the luxury of seeing Jordan play on 3 occasions live. While at the time I hated him because of the early career rivalry I knew when watching him, this guy was the best ever. Nobody since has given me the chills the way Jordan did. Long live the G.O.A.T. I am also someone who has been following you guys for awhile and love your content. If you truly want to see an entire picture video of this guy I suggest looking up Michael Jordan Ultimate Mixtape. You will not be disappointed.
I have seen him play. I’m from Chicago and it was an honor to have been alive at that time. Watching Michael Jordan play live was nothing short of magnificent.
I watched every single game he played live sadly not at the stadium but at home because every single game you watched him play you knew you were going to see something that you had never seen before. He will be the G.O.A.T for all time...........................
Jordan in his prime was unbelievable to watch. He was so smooth and was always thinking 3 or 4 steps ahead of everyone on the court. Size didn't matter with him as he was 6' 6" and was dunking on everyone. This includes the biggest guys on the court that were over 7' tall. He could get it done on offense and was a tremendous defensive player as well. Players today still try to imitate what Jordan brought to the court. Jordan would be even better in today's NBA and would average 40+ points per game.
I saw him play in 93 vs the pacers in Indianapolis. To see him live was unreal. There were a lot a fans from Chicago there. Talking to them we found out that it was a 3-4 year waiting list to get tickets in Chicago. To watch him live was unbelievable. The way he played made it look like the other players were little kids.
I was here in Portland Oregon, when The Portland Trailblazers had a chance to draft Michael Jordan. At the time our team needed a center more, due to the fact we had two good guards, but the player we drafted was Sam Bowie who had leg injuries straight away, and never lived up to his potential. Looking back, we should have taken MJ and traded either or both of our guards. The thing is MJ made a comment, he only wanted to be drafted to an east coast team, and so that didn’t make our people happy either. In 1990 and 1992 we were reintroduced as both our teams went to the playoffs, And ironically, Scottie Pippin, who was MJ’s right hand man, played on our team late in his career.
Growing up in Milwaukee, he was an arch nemesis for the Bucks. Regardless he is by far and away the best I have ever seen. There isn't another player that can hold a candle to him.
he was #1 in everything. Best athleticism, best build, biggest hands, best mind, best court vision, best defense. he had it all. He was designed by god for one purpose
@@MrFuchewwell said and he adopted his game to more on perimeter mastery as he aged to economise his energy. "He's not human. He just came down on earth just to play"
The coolest thing about Jordan is that he raises his torso/head after he hits his peak to make it appear like he's floating. Most players just start falling. He doesn't have more 'hang time' than anyone else, but his body movements make him seem like he does.
I'm Australian, I watched Mike from 87-93 when I was in my early teens. His games back then where AMAZING, he would drive, literally past 5 players, get fouled and still score. If you think the highlight reels are amazing you should watch him in full playoff games in those years. Your minds will be blown away.
So true. I'm from Chicago and I was in my late teens/early twenties when Jordan was winning. In those playoff games it literally didn't matter what he scenario was, who had the momentum, etc you just knew he would find a way to win. Sure he lost some games but I've never seen anyone rise to the occasion like him.
I grew up in Chicago in the 90s and everyone would be somewhere watching the Bulks if they were playing. Watching Jordan in person was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. Jordan made everyone a fan of the game.
Watching him back then it all seemed so normal even though no one else could do anywhere near what he could do. It wasn't until he was gone did it begin to sink in how much of an anomaly he was. The rings, the shooting percentage in the era, the 9 all defensive teams, the scoring titles, the MVPs and dpoy season in the same year, the some odd 9 seasons with 82 games, the record vertical, the fade away, the unprecedented fame, the elevated numbers in the playoffs. Even the flu game seemed more ordinary than extraordinary, extraordinary would've been him not playing. A lot of greats will credit MJ with their love of basketball but I truly think he scared more people away from the game knowing there wasn't a chance on Earth anyone could play like him. He made all the greatest players on earth look very ordinary and he still does.
I was at last championship game in Chicago...still to this day I get chills when I see clips of him playing!! In person is so awesome! He truly flew when he jumped for a slam!...MJ is someone that none will hold a candle next too..many will try but, in my eyes there will NEVER BE another #23 JORDAN!!
I saw him play live in Miami , when he was with the Bulls against the Heat. I was about 12 years old, and I went with my dad. It was the greatest moment of my life watching him play live. I also years later saw him play live when he was with the Wizards.🔥💪🏾
My mom was working as a server at the Four Seasons worker's cafeteria. They feed the Bulls players there so they could avoid the other guests. The only player she remembers is 7'2" Luc Longley. lol
Watching him was like poetry in motion, and I still think the most intimidating thing in sports was the introduction of the chicago bulls during a home game, the lights going out and two spotlights, one on all those championship banners and the other on the bulls themselves when the introduced Jordan in the lineup, might as well just pack up and leave then and there.
Denzi is hilarious but also how is Atlanta growing up so fast. She looks more and more like a young lady every video. You two are such cool and great parents. Keep up the great work!!
So, I live in a smaller state that has no professional teams. I remember going to watch a Bulls game during the pre-season one year. The game was in my hometown in 1995. Jordan didn't really need to play, but he knew everybody in that building went to go see him. He only scored 22 points, but I'll never forget watching him play. That's one of the things I really liked about him. He never took a day off and he always played, because he knew that every game likely had somebody in the crowd that would likely never get to see him play in person again. He wanted that person to see him play.
I once saw him play in Cleveland Ohio. I brought my friend and it was so amazing watching him play that we seemed to be the only Ohio people happy that the game went into overtime. He was so awesome to watch, we couldn't get enough.
im from australia and went on a holiday to america in the 90s. I was in Seattle and my dad bought me scalped tickets to see the Bulls play the Seattle Sonics!! Jordan was incredible!! He scored 45 points that day! Ill never forget it!
Being a basketball player yourself is when you really understand just how insane he was it’s different when you never actually played vs when you’ve played the sport and then seeing him play is insane af
I was lucky enough to get to watch MJ twice in the old Chicago Stadium in 92 and again in 93. It was unbelievable. I also got to play ball with Pippen at his camp here in Arkansas, where the Pippens are from. It was an amazing time and MJ is and always will be the GOAT 🐐
I live here in Northwest Arkansas. That would’ve been an awesome experience! Born in 1982, I grew up watching Michael Jordan and collected sports cards at the time. I remember getting my first MJ 1990 Fleer Card. I was excited.
Awesome experience. I saw him live at Chicago Stadium twice in ‘91 the first championship year. Game 1 against the Sixers and Barkley and Game 1 NBA Finals against Magic and the Lakers. I was told that if I cut the grass at my uncles house that I could go to that Finals game. I was running with the lawnmower lol. Also saw game 1 of the first round series against New Jersey in ‘98 at the United Center. So I was able to attend some good games during the championship years. It was a awesome time to be a basketball fan and even better time to be a Bulls fan.
Jordan is in a class by himself.Imagine watching a blockbuster film everytime he plays and even much more.I used to call in sick for work and I never used to drink so much beers when he's playing because i wanted to avoid going to the toilet for i knew i could miss something spectacular.I feel special to have witnessed his greatness and at the same time sorry for those who did not get the opportunity to experience the history
Lived in Chicago during that time...the city just felt so excited, everyone loved our city. I love my hometown. I will never forget that. Thank you for showing others. MJ 🥇☝️❤️
He has highest vertical’s in nba history with 48 inches and also the biggest hands by a guard. That’s why his ball control in the air allowed him to create unbelievable shots.
Thank you for sharing the greatness of the GOAT of basketball with your young ones. The younger generations these days can't seem to understand just how amazing MJ really was and it's rather maddening and sad.
When you get a chance, the Michael Jordan voyager video really shows you how great he was as a player and as a person. I live in NC and was right down the road from where he grew up; heard so many great stories of him developing into the player and person he is now. I just love seeing you all as a family discovering him for the first time and wish you all the best!!

Michael is 6'6". I also saw him play live at the United Center and it was magical. We had floor seats beneath one of the baskets. At one point, Jordan nearly jumped over a defender to dunk. There has never been anyone like him and I doubt there will ever be another.

That’s awesome
Damm...what an experience and memories ...you're a lucky person
I bought Bulls season tickets ( with a partner) the year BEFORE THEY DRAFTED JORDAN.
And I was at that slam dunk contest in Chicago.
I'm sure it was. You are very fortunate
There will never ever be anyone like MJ. 6 trips to the Finals, 6 Championships won. An ICON, the GOAT. #23
They'll never be another Bill Russell. 11 rings
You can't blame my Rockets for Taking Hakeem #1 and I'm not mad. Jordan is the G.OA.T, but Hakeem is very much debatable as a Top 10 AllTime
Hakeem is the second greatest player of all time.
Also 6 finals mvps
At the beginning of games when they announced the starting line-ups. When the lights went down and that iconic music started to play, the chills would start... when they got to the last starter and you heard those famous words, and now from North Carolina, a 6'6" guard.. MICHAEL JORDAN!! It was deafening, you thought the roof was going to collapse and not a hair on anyone's body was not sticking straight out.. everytime I was there it was the same feeling.. Biggest chills moments in my entire life.. one of those had to be there moments. Never been equaled.
Yesss! The lineup announcement was something else. You took me back to those moments. Goosebumps for real.
People talk about how LeBron does the chalk, Michael did it to the announcer table. Every game right after the lineup announcement
Being from Chicago, my dad never missed a game. That being said, the music with the announcer’s voice use to scare the crap out of my sister and I 😂 we were only toddlers but my dad said we always cried every time he just tried to watch the game.
The song is called 'Sirius' by Alan Parsons Project, btw
That was the peak of western civilization.

So jealous! Best ever by a mile, i was addicted to basketball when he was playing.
I ran into him on my 8th grade class trip at the Rock n’ Role McDonald’s in Chicago. He took pictures with every single one of us and bought all of our food. We had over 100 people in our group! He was amazing!!!
It was a privilege to see him live. You could tell he was different. Always the 🐐.
Couldn’t agree more. Growing up in Chicago in the 90’s, it felt like seeing the Beatles or zeppelin. It was that insane.
Larry Bird is the greatest of all time!

Nope as great as Jordan was, Larry Bird was also one of the very best.

I hated MJ. He tortured my Knicks for years and years...but yes, he is the GOAT.
Jordan’s Height is 6’6”
I saw him live in Chicago.

Lucky enough to see Jordan play live 3 times. It was amazing as you saw him shift gears mentally and just completely take over a game.
I loved rewatched this. I’m a Bulls fan and I can tell you he was incredible to watch. I believe he was 6’6
He is listed at 6'6 but he was closer to 6'5
Michael will always be THE 🐐. In this NBA, he'd average 50 points, 4 steals, 5 assists and 5 rebounds without even blinking.

Growing up in Chicago in the 90s was amazing… we all grew up as massive bball fans because of MJ

Someone once said seeing Michael Jordan play was art in motion, that is no lie.
Its not only that Jordan could jump high or far, but its like he acheives a moment of actual flotation.
Also his first love was baseball.
he was #1 in everything.
Well said!

Saw him play in real-time. Absolutely amazing athlete. Its like Michael Jackson to music is how you describe #23 to basketball.

The only player she remembers is 7'2" Luc Longley. lol
I saw it all live, if you were there you know. The warm up music came on and you knew it was about to go down. It was awesome!

I've never seen a kid that is more of a spitting image of her mother.
That’s very nice to see you and your children watching the game with you any where else
Jordan's dad was a semi-pro baseball player. Part of that retirement was to honor his father's dream for him that never came to fruition.
Never knew that
I love that your some wants to mimic all your motions. Enjoy how much your boy idealizes you and be a worthy idol!
MJ 🥇☝️❤️
Greatest to ever play the game. I was lucky enough to see him play live in Boston when I was a teenager. It was surreal - he didn’t look real.
Being a teen in the 90s watching MJ doing his thing on live TV was truly a blessing. Thanks for the video!
He has highest vertical’s in nba history with 48 inches and also the biggest hands by a guard. That’s why his ball control in the air allowed him to create unbelievable shots.
I'm from Utah. I got to see the Jazz vs the Bulls back in the 90s with my brother. We were in the nosebleeds but it was still amazing.
Thank you for sharing the greatness of the GOAT of basketball with your young ones. The younger generations these days can't seem to understand just how amazing MJ really was and it's rather maddening and sad.
His dad's favorite sport was baseball, and he always said he wished MJ had played baseball
He probably would have been a hell of a baseball player he was when he was younger he just decided to focus more basketball 🏀
I had the privilege of seeing Jordan play twice as a kid. I'll never forget it. He was truly amazing. To me he is the G.O.A.T.
Edit: when i saw him play he was in his prime and unstoppable.
