I'll never forget watching Tyson's fights for two reasons, one was simply how incredibly good he was, and the second was how pissed off he made us all because back then his fights were all "pay-per-view" and were expensive to watch, so we would always get a big group of friends together to pitch in and would put together a BBQ party for the fight, and then it would be over in like a minute! If you blinked you missed the whole thing!

To be completely honest. And no offense! NOT being insulting. But... I just can't see why y'all are doing reaction video to boxing and you've never seen Mike friggin Tyson?! Whaaaaaaaat?? I'm a white American btw and get you're not from the US but still.
Hope you've legitimately first time seen the GOAT in his prime. Even Ali was like... NOPE! wouldn't have wanted none lol!
Only 5'10 216. I'm 5'10 210 and love it. I'm fast and strong but F a whole BUNCH of fighting Tyson in the ring or ANYWHERE, even now at I think 55 as I'm recently 46. videos off him training now... No WAY!!! 😮
The awesome story of the gang leader he beat the hell out of in the ring AND later on the streets is great! Look that up!
Ever get your heart broken and had to go to work with a ton of pressure to like be fast, haul ass, yet be on cruise control in your head and people later talking shit saying you've lost it?
Especially after you've already accomplished about everything??!
I have, and I'm pretty sure that's where Mike was at the end of active career. That Buster fight should really be disregarded, I'm sorry....
Mike had just been through so much right before, he wasn't focused.
Y'all did a great reaction though regardless. In his prime, no one ever or since could have stood a chance against the phenom I don't think! Life has obstacles and it might make a strong person vulnerable FOR SURE! Prime Tyson is by far, the GOAT! Buster in his prime woulda later 30 seconds max against Tyson in his prime. Bet

Then Don King got ahold of him and he was never the same again. He had discipline and focus before Don King...and he just turned into a sad has been afterwards. It wasn't Mikes fault, he was a kid with way too much money and no mentors to keep him on the straight and narrow. Mike Tyson has grown tremendously in recent years and now realizes exactly who he was then and what happened to him and where he went wrong. I believe he's training boxers now. Father left at two years old, mom I believe was a prostitute who died when he was 16, no one is exactly sure who is Dad was but it's narrowed down to a cab driver and a pimp. He went to bed hungry most nights in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods of all time until he was taken in by an old man and plenty more situations most would call adversities. Mike Tyson is my favorite heavyweight of all time. From 85-89 he was undefeated with a record of 37-0 and became the youngest heavyweight champion ever, unifying all 3 belts. He took down much bigger men some as large as 6’6” tall, nobody could beat Iron Mike in his prime. Sadly when his trainer Kevin Rooney left in 1988, he wasn’t the same fighter as years moved on thanks to Don King… Mike had a lot of bad people in his life starting in 88/89 and he was partying and not training the same anymore leading up to him losing to Buster Douglas in 1990. 1990 and on Mike Tyson was a different, slower fighter just relying on his power. Prime Mike in 85-88 with Kevin Rooney in his corner was elusive, fast, and devastating and I would bet money on that version of Mike Tyson beating any other heavyweight boxer in history.

Tyson was known for overwhelming his opponents right from the bell. His amazing "Peek-A-Boo" style of boxing was simultaneously on offense and defense. The technique was developed decades before in the 1950s by World Champion boxer Floyd Patterson and his coach Custer "Cus" D'Amato. Thirty years later in the twilight of his life, D'Amato trained Tyson and gifted Tyson with the knowledge of the fighting style. Coach/Dad Cus D'Amato had hundreds of hard to find tapes(well before internet of coarse) of old-school high level boxers that Tyson would use to study endlessly. As a result, young Micheal would grow to idolize several of these champions-of-old, but perhaps none more than the Iconic 1919 Champion Jack Dempsey. Tyson wanted to be like Dempsey. This is the reason young Mike wore black shoes with no socks and black trunks, had his hair styled in a military "fade" style haircut and didn't wear robes or any flashy outfits on fight-night---exactly like the "Manassa Mauler", Jack Dempsey. Mike even mimicked Dempsey's boxing style and demeaner as Dempsey would ferociously attack from the bell and try to smother and intimidate his opponents right off. Dempsey would turn his hips and use his legs to twist into the punches effectively using all his bodyweight to generate maximum force to smash his opponent's faces-Tyson did exactly THIS as well.
Mike Tyson's Rape case has come under high suspicion in the more recent years since. A large percentage of the public now believes he is innocent and was wrongly convicted, a theory that has a lot of supporting evidence although at the time of his trial most thought him guilty and didn't bother to question the narrative they were being fed. Some even think he was set-up by powerful rich elites who lorded over boxing and needed him gone to re-ignite receding interest in the sport and regain limited control of who wins and loses and who fights who. The woman in question had previously accused other prominent men of sexual assault in the recent past-- a massive detail that was not mentioned in the courtroom at the time of his trial.

So Tyson went in there SUPER unprepared, distracted and without the fire he always had, and Buster Douglas came in there hyperfocused, ready and supercharged emotionally. ANNOUNCEMENT: Tyson will be coming out of retirement at age 57 to box Jake Paul a RUclipsr who has been harassing and slandering his name for more than a few years to bait him into a fight.
    Allegedly JULY 20, 2024
Not to dog on our boy but he’s getting older and realistically Tyson was always a nice guy with a troubled soul. I hope Tyson wins this.
Ali may be the most iconic or famous boxer to ever live but Tyson is undoubtedly the best.

How is it not suitable for kids? For kids to know about Mike Tyson and to be educated on how he grew up and how tough it was for a person like that to make it, I think it's a good thing to show anyone no matter the age.. one of the greatest icons of all time who overcame challenges and achieved greatness.

You have to consider. They go into the video blind. So they were probably thinking the the actually fights would be to brutal for the kids to handle.

It a parents call based on what they think their kids can mentally handle. When I was their kids' ages,I wasn't allowed to watch the fights. It was for adults. But, When I was old enough, more in my teens, I watched replays and such of Tyson fights.

There is a difference between a fighter boxing and a boxer boxing and Tyson was a fighter and basically unmatched in the ring during the mid eighties and late eighties. The hardest fight that Mike had to deal with was himself and he went through his own trials but he was able to come back from it and continue his life.

Evander Holyfield is The Best Ever Followed by Foreman but if they Fought when Foreman was young i dont know cause Evander couldnt drop Foreman oh & 3rd Ali. Ali beat Foreman but in Hot as Africa & other Tricks, Foreman almost died in Puerto Rico & when Foreman came back he never fought in outdoor places so I think he wasnt Favored cause No one will be able to beat that Monster, he became Champ at 45 So Young Foreman is The Best

I grew up in Louisville, home of the great Ali, and Tyson is hands down my favorite boxer. Tyson is 1a and Ali is 1b. I've watched Tyson from the beginning to now. To see his growth as a human is amazing. His story is one to definitely look in to.

Hey guys, did you hear the news??? Mike Tyson at 57 yrs old is going to box one more fight after being retired for 3 decades. His opponent? A 27 yr old Jake Paul who was originally a cocky RUclips influencer turned Boxer with a 6-0 win streak. Check it out.😅😂

the second Cus died the downward spiral happened... he lost the only father figure he ever had. 58 or not... That's still Mike Tyson. He has more experience in his pinky than jake paul will have his whole career lol. I like Jake. He's doing something he loves and it shows. He puts the work in to train.... BUT he's about to find out what a real boxer looks like. Mike still has the power. He might not hit like a Mac Truck no more but he still hits like a 350 Super Duty.... and he's still fast.. Jake is gonna have his hands full. I totally fore-see mike walking straight into the middle of that ring and giving Jake the hardest body shot he will ever feel lol.... I the two get along but when mike steps in that ring.... it's time to go to work... "He's a god"

Id pick a prime Ali over prime Tyson any day. Think about who was the best fighter Tyson ever beat?.. they werent great at all. The guys he fought were hand picked to move him up. the best fight he fought in his prime was Buster Duglass and Evander Holyfield. And they both KO'D him. Tyson was awsome but he lost to the two hall of famer fighters of his time. Ali beat 11 hall of famers during his time and the list of name will make you think well Damn! Ali had a much better resume that Mike Tyson that's for sure. And Ali always came back to defeat the guy that beat him Mike Tyson never came back undefeated anybody he ever lost to lost to and that's something to think about. I would go as far to say Mike Tyson was a honorable mention to the greats greats like Muhammad ali, Evander Holyfield, Joe Louis and Lennox Lewis. He just missed that Elite group because he didn't win over top-notch quality opponents

I love Tyson. But in my opinion Tyson can't catch Ali. Even he admitted it. Who did Tyson fight. No one of real importance. A lot of no name fighters. Tell me if I'm wrong. Against the great name fighters, he lost. Lost to hoyfield. Lost to lewis. The competition in Ali's day, still in the heyday if boxing was tougher compared to Tyson. But. Don't get me wrong, Tyson was a great fighter but Ali was smart and fast and would run circles around Tyson and was a phenomenal athlete. Ali would have been a great mma it ufc fighter. Tyson, great boxer but Ali has an edge. . If you think Tyson was intimidating watch George Foreman whom Ali fought and beat. Many say he hit much harder and was more intimidating than Tyson.

That commentator got it right when said . Bell went Mike acted like stole something from him
I believe Mike reverted back to time local bully stole his beloved pigeon and ripped its head off front him and he attacked him n knocked him out for doing it ... that's why I love Mike tyson and went few his fights and I met him here in Glasgow I was into boxing when young and also flew pigeons like Mike did.. and I still fly them to this day like Mike does .. and we lkve our birds and I believe Mike thought back and took himself back to that time bully stole his 1st pigeon n killed it .. I really do believe that ...
I met man himself in Glasgow and he came to see our style of flying pigeons and visited loft at time .. he was so fascinated with our birds cause allt bigger than his roller pigeons .. it will live me rest my life meeting man and talking about our hobby of pigeons and wishing him all best for his fight at hampden stadium he gave us all tickets for that fight for free cause of bond with pigeons was amazing .man he was totally misunderstood back in day now people see real Mike now very intelligent guy self taught cause as know left school very young and cause way he spoke with slight lisp people automatically thought he wasn't that clever but he was and is very clever man and wasn't bad man like they say .. he could have killed any of us in fight but when spoke to us he was so respectful and kind and genuinely intrested in us like we were with him and asked and meant it if we were.ok and if needed help getting to fight he would arrange it for us all that .. he gave me such great memories I will take to grave with me ... godbless you Mike respect n love from Scotland..

Tyson's punch in each hands was equivalent to being hit on the head with a bag of cement and his speed made it worse.
He is notorious for punching people and they rethink their decision to fight.
He once fought a Russian that had to leave the ring and stadium mid-match because he said he felt he would die if he took another punch from Tyson. Few days later this boxer sees a doctor and he had a concussion, a broken disc and fractured eye socket. Leaving the ring that night was the best decision he ever made. He wouldn't have survived if he didn't follow his instinct even though it meant a disgraceful end to the match.
Let's not even talk about his revenge match against the person that beat his idol Muhammad Ali. He beat the man so much that Ali must have had a rethink for telling Tyson to avenge him before the match.

His incarceration was a plan to stop him. He was not really the same when he came back.

Mike Tyson used to be a bad man thats a fact but now he is one of the most humble kind and inspirational human beings you would ever want to meet believe it or not but he can get that killer instinct back easily if he needs to! Don King and Robin Givens ruined Mike Tyson and his career Don King stole millions of dollar's from Mike Tyson and Robin Givins only married him for his money and drained him dry well what Don didn't steal she spent or got in the divorce!!!!!
