My remote was fine after I started letting people use my ps5 the controller starts moving by itself to the left

I'm pissed that after 3 weeks of owning a ps5 my controller has already got stick drift. I have used my ps4 controllers since the launch day of ps4 in the UK and they still work fine
Exactly it’s like a slap in the face I bought two of them that’s $120-140 ! Both of my controllers have stick drift each one has one joystick that’s messed up a.k.a stick drift . Not even after 6 months …

@@Jakesart16 somehow the new controllers don't do it but the one to come in the console does. I sent my controller back and bought a new one and both haven't got drift for over a year now 🙃

I literally have 4 ps5 controllers all with a bad thumbstick. For $70-$80 you think the controller wouldn't have a common problem like this. Thanks sony.

@@RecluseBootsy thats basically whats happening. I fixed 3 of my 4 controllers. 1st one was the experience i needed to successfully do the other 3 though. Just to warn anyone who might have just 1 controller with stick drift. tore a ribbon cable first try.
yea i got two ps5 controllers and after about 3-4 weeks they both have joystick problems

i dont have have stick drift but my analog stick is just loose, once stick is firm and moves properly how it should move but the right one is loose and moves fast and it is very sensitive

My left one is good and my right one doesn’t haven’t stick drift, but it just doesn’t move around right.. it gets stiff and I pressed it kinda hard & it just doesn’t move around correctly or edit right when I play Fortnite
You can pop off the black part without opening the controller.
Then the isopropyl alcohol can be used properly on the thumbsticks and you can even check the rings.
Fixed my aggressive drift to the left.
The issue I'm having is the left joystick feels stiff - even makes a stiffness sound. I dropped the controller face down, but no other issues have come up with the rest of the controller.
Have you found a way to fix it

@@caleb9333 For me it helps if i turn the joystick to the left and blow air in the right part to get any sort of dust or stuff like that away from the joystick
And like 2 weeks later of doing this every time the joystick was stuck the controller worked perfectly fine again

Let me know if you’ve had this problem. When I push my left joystick down, my right joystick through software not mechanically moves to the right. I’ve reset the controller using the button and still nothing

Mines from over tightening screws. I had a perfect ps5 co troller. Didnt wamma buy a new one. Bought a sticks kit. And they fit. But not on the ledt stick. I put everything back togegher. Right sticks fine. Left sticks so tight it sticks to the sides. Then also, the buttons are less responsive and also sticking. What went wrong??? Battery screw too tight? Loose?

Was having an issue where the left stick when pushed all the way forward would behave like it was only being pushed halfway but it would only act that way for a second or two then do it again. Your 1st method was all it took. Thanks.

Don’t send it to PlayStation if that happens just unclip a few clips 5 screws and clean the actual pivot point, rubbing alcohol won’t do much if it’s dirt in the actual pivot point

My PS5 Controller fell out of my chair and now the joystick is jammed to where it won’t rotate normally. I have no clue what to do and this is proof that Sony’s stuff is $hitty quality. I’ve had more problems with this controller than any other one and I’ve had it for one month!

Mine is sticking and squeaking. Problem is that dome will just let the alchohol run off the sides and not get into the gears. I just saw a short where he popped off the jostick and I could see a little inside. Heading in that direction now. No way I iave the patience to take it completly apart.

the only way to fix it to send it to a fucking repair shop or if u have the tools to clean the potentiometer from the inside urself

First one got insane stick drift, bought another now pushing the stick won't work. Not buying a 3rd at their price point, especially since controllers used to only got $20-35. Paying $70+ for a controller that breaks twice as fast is retarded.
