Just amazing, Cori! Thanks for sharing your ideas & tool know-how! The carts are so nice & you can move them about so easily. I have 2 from Michael’s and no, unfortunately they are not as sturdy as the IKEA ones are. But they work pretty good. Thank you so much, you are sooooo clever! Erica❤️
Thx for all the tips for using and assembling the cart. I especially like how you organize them! I’m going to turn mine into a die cutting station after watching this. TFS ❤️
Cori you are brilliant, this is such a great idea, plus I do like to play with my tools occasionally. Thanks so much for your excellent explanation of how to put the two carts together. I also loved your idea for the big shot that will make it so you are more likely to use it more often, You rock girl !! Thanks a bunch Hugs and Smiles
I love the Die cutting station! I am going do this! It will make die cutting in my craftroom so much easier! Thanks so much for sharing! Update... I had my hubby watch this video, and he cut me a board to fit in my Raskog Cart to fit my Die cut machine! This is going to be so nice! Thanks again for this great idea!
Yes! Love the taller cart. I use the ones from Michaels for $30. One for my Tim Holtz products, one for collage fodder and one for card making supplies. But I am loving how you put the Big Shot and supplies in one. I’m off to Michaels for another cart, will be great to free up my table! Brilliant…thanks!
Cori, we downsized last year as we no longer needed 3300 sq. Feet now retired and our 5 children are now 10 with 8 total children of their own. My studio is 10x11 and before I unpacked I took your advice and used the walls!!! Shelves on 3 with a closet on the 4 th and included my 1902 pie safe for all of my textiles. I’m still needing space. I am using one cart like you for my big shot, however did not think about the plywood base brilliant! Now one for my sewing machine is getting ordered tonight! This gives me 2 full shelves as I’ll be removing all sewing items to the cart. I’m also going to add the double decker as my husband was watching and suggested I could roll it right in to our walk in pantry next to my studio and roll it in to the craft room as needed. Good NESS - this was by far my most favorite video ever IN 3 years!! Have a delightful week ! Sharing 💜
Thank you. I’ve seen similar carts at Michael’s, Joann, etc. I don’t know if they’re made from the same sturdy metal, but they could be! I’d definitely check 😊
👋🏻 I hope all is well with you over there? I hope this year brings happiness, love, prosperity, and peace all over the world. I’m originally from California, and you where are you from if I may ask
WOWSERS IMPRESSIVE this is the most ingenious thing I've seen in a while!! Lovely craft room. May you have a joyous, positive vibes with no drama kind of week my Sweet Friend ❤️🐞✌️🕉️
What great ideas Cori. I have had one in my studio for a few years now and for such a small cart it can hold surprisedly many items in an organised fashion. I'm in Denmark, neighbour to Sweden so we know these carts very well. I will be getting a few more now. Thanks for uploading.
I absolutely love Raskog carts. I have five pink ones and could easily use another three but don’t have the room. Hubby has two green ones at his desk as well. Wow! Look at those double decker Raskog!!!
Thank you so much for this! I was trying to find something like the raskog but taller - this is amazing. And the basket upside down for the sewing machine is genius. I was going to put mine inside the tray and lift it out to use it, you have made my life easier 😃
👋🏻 I hope all is well with you over there? I hope this year brings happiness, love, prosperity, and peace all over the world. I’m originally from California, and you where are you from if I may ask
Hello Cori, I am glad to see I am not the only woman who has real power tools! 😁. And you are one smart little cookie! Thank you for sharing. Love the idea of the cart with your Big Shot. ❤
Love your ideas, Cori! I have 2 carts. One is mostly art type supplies. The other is my Christmas cart. It holds 6 x 6 papers pads, stickers, stamps and dies, fabric pieces, ephemera, gems, etc. Just anything to make cards and journals for the Holidays. In the off season, it gets rolled into my closet. I just love carts!! Thanks for sharing! ❤ Suzy
My carts are from Michaels but look the same except they are pale blue. I love how you turned the top tray upside down for your sewing machine and place the 3/4" plywood under your Big Shot. That is 2 ideas that I am definitely going to use! Thx so much for sharing!!!
You are a genius! What an incredible hack, and one I know so many of us can benefit. Thank you for showing exactly how you accomplished it. Hugs from Ky.
Cory what a genius idea!! I'm on spring break and rethinking how my craft room is and this is amazing!! May have to wait until summer break to do this, but what a fantastic way to use height to work for you!! Thanks for sharing!! Always, Leslie
Hi Leslie and I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your well-deserved break. Mine starts today! Using Raskog carts has been a game changer in my craft space and I hope you find systems that work well for you. Happy creating!
I must say you are a very clever person and very capable of finding ways to make things work for you. Love your die cutting station. Very impressed. Also how you have set up your sewing machine. Down right brilliant.👍🏼!!!
I admire your lateral thinking in the ways you have adapted these trolleys for a particular use. I treated myself to a new sewing machine that did fancy stitches - however it seems to be getting heavier each year (74 and counting) When I have a major sewing project, it stays on the dining table for days because schlepping it backwards and forwards is a major exercise. Ditto my sewing 'notions' which are stored in several different places. You have spurred me into action - organisation is the key to stop wasting time looking for stuff that inexplicably has gone missing . . . thank you. Jacky
My pleasure Jacky and though I’ve sewed fabric on it many times, I’m not sure how well it would work for a quilt or really large project. You might need the spreadability size of a larger work surface. But, the items in your cart could make moving things about a lot more simple.
Thanks, Cori! Great solution! And very well explained! Miss Shortie here would be doing her usual stretching to reach. 😂😂 I really loved seeing your use as a die cutting station, too! Clever girl!!! 😀💞
👋🏻 I hope all is well with you over there? I hope this year brings happiness, love, prosperity, and peace all over the world. I’m originally from California, and you where are you from if I may ask
This is fabulous!! I would love for you to do a tour of your craft room. My room is just about that size and any and all ideas would be welcome. Thank you so much for sharing! 🤩😍🥰
@@CoriDahmen oooooo! I’ll have to go check them out! Right now my little craft room is the embodiment of chaos, lol!! Not sure how I get stuff done in there. 🤪. Thank you for all your hard work! 💕
I have 2 carts, one of which I use for my sewing machine that I use for sewing on paper. I like your idea of the die cutting station. Thanks for your detailed information.
I hope all is well with you over there? I hope this year brings happiness, love, prosperity, and peace all over the world. I’m originally from California, and you where are you from if I may ask
Cori, thanks for sharing these raskog ideas. I, too, use one for my sewing machine and I love being able to slide it forward and back as needed. I had not thought about using it the same way for a die cutting machine, Duh! But, will be setting that up soon. Your tower is ingenious. I envy your power tools and construction knowledge. I could probably put one together only if you were standing right beside me giving me guidance. Your craft room looks so organized and efficient. As always, great video and great inspiration. Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful ideas.
WOW!!!!!!! Wicked CLEVER CORI!!! You go!!! LOVE this!! My dh is handy and will share this video. As my craft space is tiny and need to consolidate a bit more. Thank you for sharing! Meaning to say I LOVE the goodies purchased from your fundraiser! SUch a blessing to help others in need and a JOY to have some of your crafty creations! Already incorporated one of your flippy-thingy in my initiallyyou2022 minibk such-fun!! lol
The high rise cart is very resourceful. I also like your sewing station. I’ve been looking for a way to incorporate my sewing machine into my craft room and your cart is providing inspiration. Thanks 😊
These carts are on my wish list. I’ve never been to ikea. But always wanted to go. There is one about 3 hrs away so I guess I need to go now! Thanks for sharing
Road trip! They’ve gone up in price recently (what hasn’t!) but at $39 US, I still consider them a good value because they are very durable and sturdy. I’d consider checking IKEA’s website to make sure they’re in stock at your store before you make that drive, but happy road trip to you!
Love the idea of using height. I'm thinking of using this idea for my printer but I will have to think about it, maybe put one of the baskets upside down for the printer 🤔 Thank you for always sharing your wonderful ideas!
I thought long and hard about the same thing for that center basket, but my new printer is just a bit too wide. Consider the power cord too and how that would work rolling around, but it could be a great solution!
Great use of these carts. I have 3 of them from Michaels. I’m not close to an IKEA store. The Michaels cart has the same setup so should work too. I love these carts and love the idea of putting my Big Shot in one. I see a trip in my future.
I’ve seen the Michael’s carts, but don’t know if they’re made from the same sturdy metal. I’m sure you can check that and see if you think the cart would support the extra height and weight. Just be very careful! I love using my newly formed die cut cart.
Cori - you have such great ideas. I would have never thought of that (short-sighted, I guess). Also, I don't have the power tools. However, this is so great. I may have to order some of these carts for my craft/quilt room. We don't have an IKEA close and I've looked at those online before. Awesome content. If I attempt this and have any questions, I will be sure to reach out. Thank you again, for all of your creativity - in all medium. :-)
I love sharing ideas that work. Power tools are only necessary for the double stack. The others can easily be built with the tools IKEA provides in their kit, plus a Phillips screwdriver.
Thank you for sharing. It is a fabulous idea but I’m loving the die cutting station and the sewing station. Definitely going to borrow that idea as how simple is it to roll the station you want to use next to you
Mine does not have lock wheels, but I've not had a problem at all. Then again, I generally put my foot on the bottom metal bar, as I do with t he sewing machine cart, so maybe that helps.
👋🏻 I hope all is well with you over there? I hope this year brings happiness, love, prosperity, and peace all over the world. I’m originally from California, and you where are you from if I may ask
Hi how did you get your scissors to stick. Looks like magnetic strip. I bought magnetic small storage tins. Won't stick to my cart. I did ask before buying if they would stick. Obviously not. Not sure if i stick magnetic strips to cart then maybe they will stick. Thank you
Curious if you think it would also work to flip the top basket to put a big shot. Love the idea of doing that for my sewing machine and maybe even my cricut joy!
I’m sure it would work, but I wanted to keep the back half of the cart for its storage, as well as make sure I couldn’t knock the big shot down/off as I was cranking the handle. I wanted the stability of it being in something. The height of the Big Shot was also an issue with arm cranking when it was on an overturned basket. But, give it a go. It may work really well for you 😊
Hi Amy! I’ve got a few different types. The black baskets with the woven elastic sides were purchased from Daiso, a Japanese dollar store. I’ve also seen similar baskets at Home Goods. Daiso was also the source for the soft sided gray felt baskets in my die cut cart.
I love it all, but I am not that handy with assemblage of items I’d have to hire someone😂😂I know lots of people can do this easy o easy, not me 😂 but anyone way, these carts do come in Handy. I have two little carts and had to have my sister put them together when she came to visit 😊
Hello Cory… Been looking for a new video and I haven’t seen one ,are you OK ? are you coming back ?…… I don’t say much but I’ve been watching you and I miss your videos…….. hope you’re having a good day
@@CoriDahmen Hello Corey, No need to rush back, I was just letting you know that I miss seeing you and your videos......but I know that we also have lots to take care of in our everyday lives......so take care and will see you whenever you get back.......
Second comment. I have one of the carts from Michaels. They ARE NOT AS HEAVY AS THE IKE ONES. There aren't any supports between the side pieces and the caps on top of the supports aren't wide enough for the screws. For stand alone 3 basket they are fine. (In my opinion stacking would not be wise, no bracing. )
I’ve looked them over and wondered the same thing. The metal doesn’t appear to be as thick or sturdy. But, I’ve not used them so maybe they work really well.
Great hack. But, oh man! You made me sooo motion sick with the whirling back and forth to the various sides/stations in the room!! I should have stopped watching, but was sick before I knew it was happening.
So sorry about that. I mentioned there would be motion, but didn’t know how it would affect different people. I hope the motion sickness went away quickly.

I love the idea of a die cut station, but can you lock the wheels on the cart when in use? I can image it rolling around as I use the machine.
Mine does not have lock wheels, but I've not had a problem at all. Then again, I generally put my foot on the bottom metal bar, as I do with t he sewing machine cart, so maybe that helps.
Love this idea Cori. I've thought about getting these many times but I'm not sure how they'll roll on my carpet flooring I have in the craft room. 🤔🥰
Hi Gaye! I think it would depend on the type of carpet you’ve got in there. I can’t imagine it rolling well on thicker r fluffy carpet.
👋🏻 I hope all is well with you over there? I hope this year brings happiness, love, prosperity, and peace all over the world. I’m originally from California, and you where are you from if I may ask
Do you have a video of your craft room layout? I am intrigued as to the set up in a 7x10 room?
I do Judy. There a re few different tour videos. I have one from the organization challenge this January that might be of interest.
It may work really well for you 😊
I love the organization for the inside of the cart’s bins. Where did you find the baskets as they seem to fit perfectly?
Hi Amy! I’ve got a few different types. The black baskets with the woven elastic sides were purchased from Daiso, a Japanese dollar store. I’ve also seen similar baskets at Home Goods. Daiso was also the source for the soft sided gray felt baskets in my die cut cart.
@@CoriDahmen thanks so much. No Daiso where I live but if I take some measurements I am sure I can find something. 😇
❤TFS!
I love it all, but I am not that handy with assemblage of items I’d have to hire someone😂😂I know lots of people can do this easy o easy, not me 😂 but anyone way, these carts do come in Handy. I have two little carts and had to have my sister put them together when she came to visit 😊
Thank goodness for sisters 😊
Hello Cory… Been looking for a new video and I haven’t seen one ,are you OK ? are you coming back ?…… I don’t say much but I’ve been watching you and I miss your videos…….. hope you’re having a good day
Thank you Debbie! Sometimes life just gets busy and I don't get to make videos as often as I'd like. I am well and will be back asap 😊
@@CoriDahmen As intended, not "high rise" I love mine.
Love love love it
Thank you 😊
