    When you spoke about hobbies changing, it reminded me of trying to explain that (without guilt over money already spent) to a non-crafter. It makes me miss Archivers even more. It was so great to go in for a class and try something out before committing to supplies I regret.

    Still learning how to use my hot foiling machine, I have a craft room we’re it lives, but the room is so full, I can craft in it anymore. I was highly influenced by HSN once a month for craft days. Not anymore, now I’m broke and my house has craft supplies everywhere. Wish someone would have told me to slow down on the buying end. Now I’m trying to dig myself out, and have enough space to comfortable craft in. I have one cart at the momment, will have to reorgsnize it . Great tips, ty

    The cutting board as a top~!!!!! Mind blown. I saw the wood cutting board listed with the Raskog , but I did not even think of putting it on top! TFP!

    Hi. Thank you for sharing this, I really enjoy seeing how others organise their kit as it gives ideas and inspiration to help me with my cramped and disorderly ( yes, I mean disorderly. I often get attacked by my supplies when trying to get at them! 😂) space. I do have a trolley of sorts... okay, its a small plastic vegetable rack on wheels. It used to work well but these days, not so much. I cant bring myself to purge and over the past few months I've been struggling to find the time to craft as much as I used to, although after seeing your video I'm starting to wonder if it's more a case of being put off by the difficulty in keeping a clear bit of desk ready to work as well as reaching my supplies. Now that I've rambled on I realise that it's a case of breaking eggs to make cakes ( I don't like omelettes ). 😂 Thanks again and have a wonderful day.

    I use those carts a lot. I have one for my paint/Gel Press supplies; I have one that holds all my Copics and other markers and coloring mediums, and now I am going to get another one for hot foiling. I do have a rolling metro shelving that is long and really works well for my Glimmer machine and my die cutter right next to it with room for a place to cool the places. Thank you, as always a great video.

    I love three tier carts, large, small, round, whatever. They help me immensely with my storage. I have a large one with a cover on the top for my Switch and the things I use with it. (BTW - nothing beats hot foiling with the Switch IMHO.) I have small one that stores envelopes, cardstock, and some crafty items like aqua brushes, etc. I also use them in my bathroom and my kitchen. I don't use my Instant Pot often and it's huge so I don't have a place in the cupboard for it so I put it on a small round cart and voila, an easy peasy way to keep it out of the way but still easily accessible. I also moved my hot foil machine and I use it much more often now that I don't have to take it out of a box!

    So I decided to get one of these rolling carts, but guess what? They now have about a dozen different kinds! As a Crafter and Quilter, I found myself spending hours trying to choose which cart would be the best choice for me. And then, I had to switch accessories to that cart I needed. After that I needed to shop for the best price for that particular cart that I had chosen. So this became the perfect Crafters dilemma.

    I’ve thought about this and wondered wouldn’t it be easier to use each machine if you could have it on a shelf where you then use each machine efficiently? Each machine would need its own surface and would need to be already to use and be plugged in

    To keep the rolls of foil from tipping over you could cut cardboard to fit between rows front to back.

    Interesting. What do you keep in the cart under the shelf lids?
    I have my deco foil products on a cart with my laminators under the shelf lid. Not too inconvenient since i dont use them very often. Mostly i struggle with storing the glimmer foils. 😣

      Hi there! I like to store my Glimmer foils in IKEA KUGGIS boxes they come in many sizes, even to fit the cart. I like them because they have a lid and I have found that unless you go through your foil plentifully, dust will accumulate and well as scratches which leads to poor foiling.
      That is fabulous idea for placing the laminator under the shelf lid! I will try that, I am undergoing a very late spring cleaning.

    Dear Justine hi! Your idea of craft stations is really great! 👍👍👍I have my die cut machine on my craft desc which is quite small and it takes really a lot of space! It would be a good idea to have it on a Raskog along with its utensils! I have also seen a sewing machine on a Raskog somewhere, but i would be afraid of throwing it down by accident! 😵😵😵 The wooden lid for the Raskog selves is bought at the IKEA too or did you ordered it separately? Sweet greetings from Athens Greece, Elena.

      I have my Sizzix die cutting machine on a raskog cart. I just put the top of the cart upside down. I store my dies and embossing folders and cutting plates in the cart below. It is really practical, I wheel it when and where I need it. On another subject, I'm just back from Greece and that heat... well it's exhausting. Courage!

    I’m glad you addressed these little wonder-carts. I first got two at IKEA and filled them up. Then IKEA sold out and discontinued them, but Michael’s offered them at the same price with free delivery, so in several orders I now have 12. My stepdad is a master barber and he got 2 black ones for the barbershop. Then each of my sisters, best friend, and many more people I know got them in various colors-rose gold, mint, yellow, red, turquoise, white. I’ve seen them in Netflix movies, period pieces, TV shows. They’re everywhere and they’re fabulous!

    What do you store INSIDE the bins on your craft carts? I like the extra surface space that the lids give, but it makes the storage space underneath a little inconvenient to access.

    • @justinehovey
      @justinehovey  Год назад

      I don't have things in all of the bins, but mainly I store extra plates for the die cutting machines and the accessories it comes with. I don''t need to pull them out often. I wouldn't store anything in them that is often needed as that would be a pain to access.
