Have you adapted furniture designed for other purposes to work in your sewing room?? Let us know in the comments what you use! And also let us know if you use IKEA furniture.
You Crack me Up!!!Ditto on the expletive use during IKEA assembly! I end up dually-certified as both a U.S. and a Swedish sailor by project’s end! But heaven help me you simply can’t find a more affordable, aesthetically pleasing and functional piece of furniture, than what you struggle to construct from IKEA. Great tips and insight into your discovery...the laughter was an unexpected bonus.
Thank you so much Cashion!! I do appreciate your kind comment. Ah yes, it is the best choice for price and efficiency for sure. Iove all of my IKEA products. I'm waiting for my desk to come back in stock so I can finally have a grownup's desk to use.
After watching this episode my husband and I went to IKEA and purchased this. He added industrial wheels and I love it! Such a brilliant idea! Thank you for passing on your hacks!
Of course we all love IKEA in our craft rooms! The brilliant Kallax, Billy bookcases and of course, the Raskog trolley. Who cares about people complaining all sewing rooms look the same? The only room that matters is the one we are IN! Thanks for the update
Thank you Sue! Well you know how grumpy people can be. I personally love my Ikea mashup and think it's fun to see what other people do. Thank you so much for a lovely comment.
I just found your video and when you said you were going to make mini bolts for your fabric I had to smile. That's what I am doing while I am watching you. I bought 1,000 comic book boards Golden size-7 ½ X 10 ½. I have three tall book shelves to hold my stash. Most of my fabric is one to two yards long. For the shorter pieces I cut a board in half and make little bolts. Then for the fat quarter size I am just folding them and they are in several dresser drawers. I think I've done about 200 so far. I really want to start using all my fabrics but right now I am making masks for my community and friends. Thank you for your video. I will watch for more from you. Rebecca
Thank you so much Rebecca! I am going to wrap my fat quarters, too but I haven't had the time to figure out my method. I make such a mess with the plain folded fabrics I want everything on mini bolts now. LOL I hope that I get my feet back under me in a couple of weeks and get myself going again.
My sewing room furniture, wall cabinets (bottom and top) and sewing/cutting/ironing table and drawer unit is all IKEA. I really like it. I have a small room but I am able to have room to work and room for storage. We picked most of it up at the store and my husband assembled it and put it all together. I think, if I remember right it was something like 67 boxes. He just worked his way through the boxes and put it all together. I love it. It definitely is my happy place! Thank you for sharing your progress as you remake your space. It is helpful to see how unconventional ways of using pieces of furniture can fit together and be functional in a different kind of space.
Thank you so much Kathy! YES!! There are so many different approaches to creating the perfect space for each of us! None of use are the same, so it only makes sense our creative spaces would be as unique as we are. 67 boxes?? I'm not sure I could handle that project! LOL!!! Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment!
@@PattymacMakes we actually had to rent a pick up to get it all at one time. We don’t have an IKEA where we live but there is one in the city where our youngest daughter lives so that worked out pretty well. The day we were there they did not have the pieces that make up the table top (which consists of two large doors) in the store. So we had to order them. And when they arrived by a freight company, both of them were damaged. Several “dings”, but I decided I wanted it DONE and in most cases the dings were covered by mats or “stuff”. Jenny Doan always says, “finished is better than perfect” so I held on to that. I do believe they gave us a discount since we decided to not return them. Easier for them as well. I am new to your channel and appreciate you videos. Looking forward to more of them.
@@PattymacMakes oh yes, i meant to add......you mentioned frustration at trying to put all of it together and your language got a little “colorful”. I do not remember hearing any such colorful language coming from the basement during the assembly process, but he is after all, a retired minister! I really did laugh out loud as I listened to your video, because had it been me putting all of that together, I’m pretty sure my language would have been quite colorful just like yours! LOL!
I LOVE assembly by diagrams, rather than reading words. I get lost in the words, but the pictures make everything crystal clear. I'm a visual oriented learner, so Ikea assembly is perfect for me. I will check out Tornviken... thanks!
Same here Bonnie! I'm much better with pictures, but oooo boy, this one is so subtle. I struggle with reading knitting patterns or quilt patterns with words and fractions. I can't handle it! But give me a diagram and I'm very happy! this one is definitely worth doing!
Just finished putting good ol’ Tornviken with adhesive sliders and..wow! This is absolutely amazing. For the most part, assembly was smooth sailing. Only difficult part was aligning the side pieces with the center and shelves, but we got it all put together in around an hour and a half. Thanks for sharing this genius idea!
You're welcome Ian!! It's such a great cutting and work table. I absolutely LOVE it!! I'm so happy you got it together. Getting the shelves lined up was tricky. But once it's together it's sooooo nice!
I love your Tornviken island!! I wish I had seen this when I started outfitting my new sewing room! I did spend a lot of time at ikea recently going back and forth!! I settled on some Havsta cabinets for my fabric shelves and then two different workbenches from Home Depot - one has lots of shallow drawers which are perfect for my embroidery hoops and my quilting rulers, and the other is an adjustable height table that I want to use as a cutting table, but I keep moving piles over onto it. I love the way your island has the shelves and the sitting space. I can't wait to see how your videos come out! Thank you for sharing and especially for explaining your process!
Thank you so much Sheila! I do love this island. It's incredibly nice to work on. I've looked at those work benches and they would be another great solution. It is a challenge to have space for works in progress and to keep everything organized. I do expect to pick up a few more items from Ikea to round things out, but everything is constantly out of stock these days. So I'm watching closely for the items to restock. Thank you for watching, and I hope you enjoy the channel!
Just seeing your kitchen island video. I actually bought this and put it in my sewing room a week ago. Love it. A great height for cutting. What I was using before I had to bend too much for cutting.
We are moving to a new home in a few weeks, and I have struggled with what furniture to keep to set up my sewing space. I have an IKEA Stenstorp island in my kitchen, and I decided a few days ago that I would put it in my sewing room after the move. So funny that this popped up in my RUclips today. 😁
Oh that's perfect! I have had some time to use it for cutting and piecing and it's been AMAZING. Good luck in your move and I hope your island works for you.
Loved the island used as a crafting table. I have IKEA Billy tall shelves that my husband and son put together and bolted to the walls. I store my fabric, AccuQuilt dies, embroidery hopes, patterns, etc. in them. I have a really small sewing room and still need to get more furniture, but can’t until I get a monster massage chair out of the room. I am using a plastic table for sewing, and a plastic storage tower with multiple bins for storing notions, etc. am also using a Home Depot workbench for my AccuQuilt cutter. Everything so far works well, but I really need a sturdier sewing/ embroidery table that won’t shake when sewing on it. It would also be nice to have a sewing cabinet that has storage for the items needed at the sewing area. Also have an inexpensive cutting table that is in constant use. Would very much like a sturdier one, but it is nice to have a dedicated cutting space. I have marked the center of all four sides as I also use it to pin my quilt sandwiches together on it. Works really great. Thanks so much for the information and advice. Very much appreciated. BTW, what are the dimensions of your island?
Hi Linda! I love the Billy Shelves. The Daughter on A Quilting Life uses those also. She had her husband add some trim and they look like custom built ins. So they are really functional. I saw something on the showroom floor I really like and would eventually like to do that on the remaining wall in here where I have some knick knaks stored from when we used the room as a living room. If my channel does well when I start working on it again, I would like to add that to completely finish the room for my production space. I absolutely LOVE this island for my cutting and work space. I've been using it quite a bit the past week and it's very nice. I got the Norden gate leg table for a sewing table and it's been amazing to use. I currently have both sewing machines setup and still have plenty of work space. And it's solid. No Shaking. The Island measures 50" by 31" so it's a good size. Two of them together would be perfect, so maybe someday I''ll add to it. Laying out the quilt projects takes SO much space. But for now I'm so grateful to have what I have.
Your cutting table is beautiful! Mine is two IKEA Hemnes dressers placed back-to-back. I also made a lightweight, removable ironing surface out of Homasote 440 sound board covered in cotton duck. Like you, I used furniture sliders and it's working out perfectly.
I have a cutting table that raises and lowers electronically. There is a height that a cutting table needs to be, in relation to your elbow when your arm is folded. A fixed table for cutting out on, can be bad for your back if you dont have it at the right height. I know my table is expensive to buy in comparison, but I've never looked back. What I did was, I bought a 2nd hand motorised table which has a mechanism to move it higher or lower, and my husband converted the top with a frame and topped it with opaque glass and LED lights underneath the glass, so it is also a light table. It all came in at around £250 which included the purchase of the made to measure glass.
That sounds amazing! Mine may not be perfect ergonomically, but it's still a massive improvement over what I was doing on a standard kitchen table. And this piece looks so good on camera and makes taking photos much easier. Remember, I have to consider what it looks like on camera as much as, or more, how it is to use. Lots of what I do is centered around my channel and my blog as opposed to making for pleasure. Mostly what I make is for the channel and to create blog posts. And while I certainly do enjoy what I make, it's not what I would be doing if my maker time was my own. But I do appreciate your thorough input and I hope it will be helpful to others who are in the market, so to speak.
Thanks for your reply. I should have mentioned that your table does look great. I was more coming from a view with my having a prolapse in my back and bending taking its toll. So I have become aware of such things as making sure your cutting table is at the right height. I wish you well with your future posts.
@@carolynnecp I completely understand! Having the proper set up is extremely important! This is all very hard on the body. I only shared what I did because a lot of people do read over comments. I like to share with my viewers that I do this channel as my work, and not just as a hobby so my needs are a little bit different. It can be hard to tell who is doing this for fun and who is doing this for their work. So I like to be up front with everyone that this is my actual work. I like to be honest with everyone as I think that's incredibly important these days when you cannot tell what someone's motivations are. Thank you for sharing your story and experience!! I love to hear what you all are doing at home. It's very helpful to others to read all of the experiences we have.
I have the Norden gate leg table from IKEA in my sewing /guest room and I love it! It has 6 drawers in the center section and folds down to a 10" width when the room is needed for guests. I needed a flexible solution for extra workspace and It has given me a 5 ' x 31" work surface which can be easily folded down when the room is needed for guests. Made of birch, and is pretty substantial, but like you I have found a way to move it myself easily by putting felt pads on the legs. It slides easily on the hard wood floor. It was a project to assemble, but the instructions from IKEA were spot-on and easy to follow. Just took patience. I love it. I've seen it on several RUclips sewing room tours.
OOOO I've looked at that table for my sewing machines. It would be a great option for getting them out of the way when I'm not actually sewing and let me keep my main area more tidy. I'm going to look at it more closely when I go back to the store. Thank you for the suggestion. I've seen some people not give it a good review, but I thought it looked like a great solution for a space saving sewing table. The design on that table is ingenious. Thanks so much for sharing your experience.
Yes I have. I’ve taken over my dining room and it has become my “sewing studio”. My dining room table became the cutting table, I bought risers so it sits at a higher level, and with that I purchased IKEA’s Alex drawer that fits nicely below table. I’ve also began to collect garage storage tables that have been awesome and sturdy for my sewing tables. So far ... it’s working pretty well 😎.
Thanks for sharing your process!! I think the most important take away for people is that the perfect sewing space is the one that we create for ourselves, that makes us happy ,and let's us enjoy the process. There is no one right (or wrong) solution! Just as we are all unique, so too is our creative space. I hope that future viewers can browse the comments here and find all sorts of great suggestions, like this one, and build out their own "perfect" space.
Hahaha, you are so fun. Cussing like a sailor. Jesus was a carpenter, but maybe when he hit his thumb with his hammer, he just yelled his own name over and over. Lol. Thank you for this video and your idea of the Tornviken for a craft table is awesome. I am seriously considering it, even though putting it together may be an adventure.
Thanks Laurie!! Gosh do I LOVE this table. It's been fantastic for organizing my fabric collection and I love cutting and assembling my work on it. It was difficult to put together, and I definitely needed help because it was heavy. But it can be done. Watch the video by the guy who put his together a few times and have it pulled up when you start assembling. It did help.
Thank you very much for this video! My sewing room is 100%Ikea: cutting table, tables for sewing machine, serger and coverstitch, sewing notions trolley, fabric storage boxes and shelves for patterns, etc, and wall units to hang rulers, cutters, etc. And I am not in the SLIGHTEST bit apologetic about it. I love it for all the reasons you mention in this video and I am delighted with my sewing room. 💪😁🙏❤️ By the way... “cursing like a sailor”... I loved that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
Thank you so much for sharing Carolina!! I love my setup too! It's all been amazing to use and as I figure out what I'm putting where, it feels wonderful to be organized and tidy.
Hi Patty it was fun watching your video you speak honestly and calm and for me it is like my friend talking to me. Love your Tornviken island indeed it is very practical in a crafting room.
Thank you so much Yvonne! When I make my videos, I make them as if I am talking to a friend or a student. So I'm really happy you felt that way as I shared my wonderful cutting table with you! I honestly DO love this thing and I'm using it this morning as we speak. I appreciate your kind comment and for taking the time to leave a message. You've made my Friday!
Thank you so much Bridgette! The linked video seriously helped me with it, and having a friend when it got heavy at the end allowed me to finish it. It's totally doable, but be prepared to work for it!
Just found your channel looking at cutting tables - really enjoyed your content and have subscribed - Sep 2023. Looking forward to seeing your videos. Greetings from Mold (a little market town) North Wales UK 🙋♂🙋♂😊😊
Oh Hello!! I appreciate you lovely comment! I'm a little behind on my videos as I have been super busy with my garden and food preservation the past few months. But gosh I'm ready to start sewing again!
Haha! I could totally relate to your construction story. I never swear, but when my husband and I attempted to assemble an entertainment center- together- it broke me. I was swearing and came close to asking my husband for a divorce, haha. Clearly, we have different ideas about reading instructions. That was 20 years ago. We have never, ever built anything together again. I love that kitchen island! It’s perfect for my sewing room. I will ask my engineer son-in-law to build it. 😜
What a funny story!! And yes the engineer should be able to put this thing together. LOL It's a big challenge, but he can likely sail through. But that video I linked to is very helpful. You will LOVE this thing in your sewing room. It's so nice to use!
I have a funny ikea story- my daughter was going off to college so we went to ikea and bought a dresser. The two of us were up ALL NIGHT LONG putting that thing together while my husband slept. We were cussing like sailors too. Once we had it together, we noticed we had put something in backwards, but at that point, we were beyond caring. The next morning my husband got up and inspected our work 🙄, noticed the mistake, tried to fix it and promptly BROKE IT beyond repair 😑😑😡😡. Both my daughter and I were so angry we were speechless and on the verge of tears. He didn’t say one word, he got his car keys and went to IKEA and bought another one. We left the house because neither one of us wanted to say something we might regret lol. He put it together by himself. That was 15 years ago, and now IKEA is darkening our doorway again because of my sewing room revamp. He told my daughter-not me-that he wasn’t sure he would even be allowed to touch it 🤣🤣
I love that the idea of the island force cutting table. I will be curious to see how the cutting mat fits on it. Your crafting space is really coming together. I am so happy for you.
Thank you for sharing, i love IKEA furniture, affordable, durable and very functional in the entire house, I really like your space, neat plain . Blessings
I actually just finished building my sewing table which coincidentally resembles your Tornviken island. The difference is that half of my table is foldable. The top is made of 2 pieces of true 1 inch thick teak wood I happened to find at a local Lowe's (not all Lowe's in the vicinity carried them though) which I connected together using heavy duty hinges. I built the shelving base part out of poplar 2x2's and for the shelves: 1x12 furniture grade pine board. The 'back' side of my island (on yours, it's the side you store your pink caddy under), is made up of 2 'gate legs' (1x3 poplar) that swing out to support the table top when in use, and swing/fold in when not in use. I drilled a hole to stick a 3/8" dowel on one of the gate legs to hang my sewing rulers. I also use sliders/gliders to move the table, but they're for hardwood floor and nailed in directly under the feet of the base and gate legs. I have too many 'hobbies' so I have to limit and contain my sewing area and tools within this folding unit. It stores my sewing machine when not in use on the lower shelf, with a big basket next to it for my fabrics and stabilizer materials (I don't accumulate them, only bought what I need for each project at a time), and on upper shelf: 3 cardboard boxes for my notions, pressing felt mat, and iron. I still can use the top, folded or unfolded, to do other craft projects.
Absolutely beautiful! I started cracking up 😂 when you started talking about the cussing 🤬 I remember those days two. My mothers China cabinet is cherry wood and that’s the only piece of furniture that I wanted to really keep. I was also blessed with a bedroom set cherry wood and I’m going to use the long dresser the tall dresser in my craft room along with my mothers cabinet and I’m turning my living room and my dining room into my craft haven. So enjoy your craft Haven. Many blessings to you.
I'm so glad I'm not the only craft obsessed person converting the living room into a craft space, or as you call it craft haven! Why not do it? For me it's the best light in the house and the space lets me do things I could not do before. I confess, I LOVE IT. Blessings to you as well Lisa!
Thank you so much Diane!! I love to teach so it's enjoyable to share information here. I have to figure out how to do a better looking stream for a sew along. I've done them on my phone and they look terrible which is why I stopped doing them. But it nice to chat with everyone.
Oh! I look forward to the sew along video. I love the way the furniture looks. Was day dreaming how I can use it in my sewing space. Thought about adding an extended top for a long cutting space. Love to revamp furniture pieces to meet my needs.
I saw in some pictures where they put two end to end and that was pretty amazing. It would not fit in my space, but it's a great idea and look. Maybe as time goes on. Yes, I do want to do live sew alongs for blocks and stuff like that, but I have to figure out how to do it. I'd like to use the good camera but at the same time, I don't want to burn up my electronics running it too much. I think I have to tether to a computer at the same time so that makes it quite challenging. People make it look easy, but it's not as easy as we would like it to be. LOL
You had me feeling sorry for you and laughing with you ! I truly struggle with assembly.Your studio is wonderfully functional and lovely at the same time. Blessings from a follower of Jesus.😊
Love your video seem down to earth and love furniture from ikea great work. UouTube videos are great learn alot from them Keep up the great work. Love all of your comments about Jesus and gussing too funny
I wanted a cutting table to fit the large cutting mat so I found a dresser the right width and height and cut 3/4 plywood to fit the mat. The dresser has ten drawers and I had room behind it for a six cube unit. Looks great and works really well!
I lack the imagination to reinvent “new” from “old”and would love to get an idea what your work-station looks like. I promise,...I SERIOUSLY PROMISE , not to bother you with any more questions or photo requests should you decide to upload a photo. Thank you so much!
I’ve been reusing furniture for storage and sewing. I’ve turned an old tv hutch to store my machines when not in use and the drawers for sewing supplies. I was gifted a vintage top with ikea legs. That was all refinished for my cutting/sewing table. The room isn’t done yet but I can’t wait to have it completed.
Oh how cool!!! I love repurposed vintage! If it makes you feel any better, my room is not finished either! I'm working on it, but it's still kind of a MESS. But that's ok, because it's mine and it's usable even if it's less than perfect.
I absolutely LOVE Ikea, I appreciate how you just lay it out there about why we use Ikea furniture for our crafting room! New subscriber and love your content Pattymac!
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate that! I love my Ikea furniture. I am using it all this week to work on a new project and it's amazing. I wish I could have MORE!!
What a cute lady you are! I laughed out loud watching this tutorial, and I’m looking forward to watching more of you.😉 This is a great piece of furniture...I’d love to have it in my sewing room.🥰
I purchased their tall shelves for side by side storage. Love them! My husband and brother put them together. They too cussed the instructions. The shelves are very well made and I quickly filled them with clear storage bins holding sewing projects, thread and fabric. I also purchased what would normally be used to hold shoes in a closet, two hanging cubby things I use to store patterns, zippers, and fabric purchased that is not assigned to a pattern. You know , the fabric you have to have and will find a use for it later. They hang perfectly from the clothes rod in the closet and keep the fabric out of the light and away from dust. One more thing-I have 2 peg boards with various hooks, clips and storage boxes for scissors, rotary cutters, notes, etc. These are attached to the wall - more tough instructions. Love IKEA as long as I don’t have to assemble it. Love your videos!
Thanks so much Deb! Your setup sounds well designed and carefully considered! I've got all my fabric out where I can see it. Dust and light be darned. LOL! I'm trying to get everything corralled into one place and make it easier for me to use. I don't generally mind putting stuff together like this, but boy oh boy. This his island is my master work. I feel like Ikea should award me with a certificate of something! LOL
LOL right now.....I am you!!! So funny and loved your analogy. Any who, glad you found what works for you. I ordered two work benches fo4 my art room by Husky.....They crank up and down so I have a desk, cutting table, or book binding table....can’t wait.....brand new room still currently under construction.
Thanks Dianna! I've heard a couple of people mention using those for workspace. Sometimes the best solution is not where you expect to find it! Good luck with your new room. I'm still figuring mine out. But it's a fun project, so no complaints!
You are hilarious. I found your channel while doing some research on putting together my sewing room. I was laughing so hard and...subscribed. I so look forward to watching your past and upcoming videos! Oh, and I love your wall with the wood trim. I have an unfinished basement and my hubby who is an engineer/wood worker will be building my room from scratch. I have two large windows with a view of the Rockies and want a cabinesque feel to the room and wanted to add wood to the walls. I now have some ideas of how to design the wall. thanks for this great video. You have another follower :)
Thank you so much Debbie! I'm glad I could brighten your day! I appreciate you watching and subscribing! I'm on a brief unplanned hiatus currently getting my house and personal life put back into order. But I will be back soon!
I wish I lived near IKEA... or not (I'd be broke). 20 yrs ago when we bought our house, we needed furnitures and we got some from IKEA, the Akurum kitchen system, the Effektiv office line, the older version of Kallax (still using real wood veneer instead of the 'wood-like' paper laminate), the Nordviken...etc. I found it very relaxing actually putting them together, I never had any difficulties, even hardly used the instruction booklet other than to make sure all the parts were there. I only needed husband's help to lift the finished assembly because they're usually too big and heavy for one person. Over the years, though, I started to build the furnitures myself copying from their online catalog, or to build UP from existing ones (like right now, I'm building a cabinet on top of what used to be a lateral filing drawer unit, to make a mobile pantry/canned food dispenser) - but now IKEA site requires me to give up a little of my privacy setting in exchange of the ability to view their website (so no, thank you).
I have replaced a lot of stuff with IKEA in the past few months. I absolutely love their products and visiting the store is so much fun. I enjoy the small spaces they put together showing off all the products. I'm pretty much maxed out on all I can do in here for now....well except for my den where I have the big tv. I would like to have a couch back there so I might have to get that when it's back in stock. I already have one picked out.
@@PattymacMakes I love what you did to the Kallax (4 cubes) units. The great thing about IKEA furnitures is that you can hack them to your heart's content and only your imagination is the limit. Their design is such that it somehow will fit to anyone's decor. You can add molding and fretwork to make it more ornate or traditional, you can paint it, you can (like you did) change the hardware, stack them and link them and even combine different lines to create a new design. It's the lego of furniture!
I'm so glad I found this video, Patty. My next project is my extra bedroom that I'll turn into a sewing/craft room. Such very helpful information... Thank you!
Wow I never knew about the hard slider Lol. I wish I knew about it then! I used to live in a carpeted home but all of spaces are now hardwood floors except area rugs. I know exactly what you mean about IKEA furniture putting it together..I once bought a large chest from them (which I still use), but oh boy they’re such a pain to put it together. I ended up ordering a service from them and I don’t put them together myself anymore for large furniture items anymore. I think hard slider thing would be useful for rugged areas too! Thanks!
The hard sliders are a life saver!! I use them with all my furniture and yes they work perfectly on rugs on wood floors. I have them under the feet of my dining table so it's easy for me to move it and clean. They are on the aisle with the picture hanging stuff in Home depot. There are TONS of options!
Thanks for sharing your experience Diane! Yeah these items can be a real challenge. I have a wall cupboard I've put together but it's so heavy I have to figure out how to safely secure it. My next project to figure out.
I love this island/sewing/cutting table. Looks fab. You are such a joy to watch. Congrats on getting it assembled. Perfect place for cookies and cup of coffee.
Thank you so much Joanne! It's a very nice piece of furniture and I'm glad I jumped into getting it. I'm cutting and piecing blocks tonight and it's so enjoyable working on it.
Thanks Pam! Well I do try to always improve my work so each successive thing I do is better than the last. I definitely want to make improved videos! Mom is better but I think we are as far as we’re going to go. So my life is changed dramatically as she’s mostly disabled now and I’m doing everything on my own now. Which is why I have to make decisions about where to invest my limited work time.
Kitchen island for my craft room work space, a wood tool bench as the work space for my sewing room work surface. Three hours to the nearest IKEA - in Canada no less 😳 - but I’m happy with atypical storage.
I really enjoyed this video. The table is beautiful and I'm glad you found something that you wanted/needed. But the story time portion had me laughing and you talking like a sailor! Thanks for the tour of the table, which I didn't think was a " hot mess".
Thanks!! Yes I’m very careful about language and especially in my videos. My friend whom I share voice messages once said when I left cursing laced memos that he could not stop laughing because it was like hearing someone’s favorite gran going off. 😂😂😂
Lol I call it "hodge-podge " look. I had old antique and dressers..yep heavy, pretty..but storage organization and light they were not. So I am following your advice and go to ikea stuff.
I was hard to let some of the items go, but it's been such a good decision. I have a neater space and it's organized 100% better. As you know, this hobby is a mess and corralling all the clutter feels like a job sometimes. I love having furniture that is functional and looks good. I know I sound like an ad, but I love the things I've gotten.
So nice the cart fits under the top! My creative desk, at the moment, is 6 Roughneck Totes, plus a chalkboard as the top. I love IKEA furniture, but my creative room is a work in progress. Edited: I have 6 tall, narrow Billy bookcases, a tall obeliskm and 2 kitchen drawer units on casters, which are supplementing my kitchen, for the 4th time. 2 Omar wire shelving were a more recent find. Perfect in the last apartment, and in this one.
Hi Patty, I love your new space! Out of the lil bedroom, I bet your creatively reeling. By the way I'm a lil jelly lol and it's not tasting good with my peanut butta🤣 seriously I adore foliage the more the better. When I moved into my place I lost everything indoors. It's so dismally lite in here the plants that live the dark even died 😳 but it's beautiful in tickled 🥳for you. 🙆♀️⚘
Thanks so very much Kathleen! The improved light and space has been amazing!! I'm grateful for the change and looking forward to getting my feet back under me again after the life changes of last year. I'm still up to my eye balls in things to sort out and do, but I feel like we are finally coming up for some air.

I love that kitchen island! I would never get it into my kitchen! I agree it makes a lovely cutting table. However, it is out of my price range so I will have to look at cobbling something together with Kallax units. I thought of raising the table top a little so I can slide my cutting mat under when I'm not using it. It is very much at the planning stage at the moment.
It won't fit in my kitchen either!! LOL!! it only fits in my living room which is where I'm set up now. I''ve seen people do custom builds for the sewing room which looks great. I saved my money for this one, and it was a big investment for me. But it's as much an investment in my youtube channel as sewing practice. It's been great for me on both accounts. I am sure you will find the perfect solution for your space! Good luck.
Thank you. Gave been really contemplating how the next stage if my sewing room will look. I have a kallax to organize and love the idea of adding another useful IKEA item.
If you have the space for it, I think this piece is an excellent addition and has provided me with several solutions in terms of storage and productivity.
@@PattymacMakes Guess what Patty? After watching how perfectly this island suits our sewing/quilting needs I discovered one featured in my local craigslist! I'm to pick it up this afternoon! Woo hoo! What a perfect surface for cutting and crafting. Thanks for the reccomendation.
@@the.pokey.little.pineapple4546 HOLY COW!!!! You should buy a couple of lottery tickets while you're out, because your luck is running very high! Please let me know how you like it!
I've not had issues with IKEA furniture so far - I put together eight BESTA units with drawers and doors pretty easily. They swallowed nearly all of my too-large sewing and knitting stash very well. They were delivered during the 2020 lockdown so the most the delivery guys would do is put all the cartons along one of my garage interior walls. I schlepped the cartons up a flight of stairs one by one over two days, and tore the largest ones apart to carry the bits on their own. However, that Sauder computer desk I assembled a couple of months ago was a real pain or sixteen in the nether regions, all right. It was dropped in my driveway on the QT in a box half the size of my car, and I could barely wobble it into the garage. I had to carry the pieces in one by one. During the assembly I wasn't cursing the desk, I was cursing the designers who though that, amongst other things, twelve different types of screws and a separate part number for each one of the eight drawer slides were good ideas. Yes, it looks good; no, I'm still not over the memories.
I love your light hearted recounting of a traumatic experience! LOL. The most difficult thing I ever put together was my kitchen island I use as my work and cutting table. Good Lord it was a nightmare. I had to ask for help with that one, because it was so heavy and so big I couldn't do a couple of the steps by myself. I try not to get anything I can't do myself, but that Tornviken bested me. I got the coordinating bookshelf together, but had to ask another neighbor for help getting it on the wall. I was so heavy and I couldn't get the anchor into the stud by myself. Also, it was so heavy I couldn't get it on the wall on my own. But that's behind me now, and I enjoy using my pieces every single day! I have to go look up your desk now. I got the big Alex desk, and I love it. It was pretty easy to put together and it's be wonderful to use.
Swedish furniture is made for maximum function in tiny spaces. So it is perfect for sewing and crafting areas. Love your room and your ideas. BTW you may want to look up 'hot mess' because that looked pretty good to me. :) It's going to be a great place to see all your fabrics and get inspired.
Yes Deb! They have small living spaces, so furniture has to be functional. My home is vintage and built with very small closets and a much different scale than modern construction. Which I'm perfectly fine with....but it can be a challenge to keep myself tidy and organized. Well I appreciate your kindly supporting me in terms of the sloppy shelves. LOL I envision everything net and in place, and I've got a ways to go. I need an extra 24 hours in my day.
I love the sliders!! I keep them under the front legs of my couch so I can easily move it to vacuum, I LOVE to vacuum! I found a fantastic table from Home Depot to use as a cutting table. It’s officially a work table, but what make it fantastic is that it has a crank and is height adjustable. I ordered it with 2 drawers that are optional, but they are the perfect size for rulers, cutting tools, etc. I have really painful back problems, (a 13-level fusion a few months ago) and this has been a LIFESAVER! It was only around $200. It comes in white whit a pine top so it match my Ikea stuff perfectly. I made an ironing board out of a base of 3/4” plywood that is the same size as the top of the table, so I can also iron on it.
The table is made by Husky , and like I said it was only around $200. I’d been pricing these for a while and this was the best deal I found. The adjustable height with the crank on the front make this the best table of all that I looked at. They don’t stock it at my local Home Depot, but I had it delivered to the store (free shipping) and they loaded it into my truck for me. It’s over a 100 lbs, so I had to unload it piece by piece to bring it in. It was easy to put together, but you put it together upside down. My son came over and helped me flip it upright. I have been LOVING my table.
That's a really good tip! Yes the height makes a huge difference! You definitely cannot be leaning over to cut fabric. Thanks for sharing the table idea!
Question about your “ironing board” : Isn’t plywood kind of heavy to move when not ironing? Or do you just leave it up and put your cutting mat over the top of it? If you do leave it up, does the padding cause your cutting mat to shift and distort the cuts? I’ve been trying to figure out how to pull this off, bc I hate trying to iron a full width of fabric on a regular ironing board. But I have a bad back, so moving it around would not be good for heavy plywood. TFS.
@@susanmei9980 It doesn't cover the entire top of the table. I cut it down, I think it measures 24x45". If you don't have a way to cut it, Lowe's or Home Depot can cut it down to any size you choose. I also cut one to sit out beside my sewing machine so I could press as needed while sewing, it's about 12x24". The larger one is bulky but not too heavy. To help cushion it, I used an old towel, then the ironing board fabric from JoAnn, and then topped it with an old sheet. It works really well and I haven't had any problem with my cutting mats sliding around on it, but I usually don't leave it out all the time. If I'm using a rotary cutter, I don't like the feel of the cushioned ironing board under my cutting mat. You even caught why I did it. It makes it so much easier to press yardage. Oh, and I just stapled it to the back of the board using a heavy duty stapler.
lori phillips, thank you for answering. So where do you store it, when not in use? That’s my other quandary! I have a 3’ x 4.5’ tavern tablet that I got on clearance for $50! 😁 my two cutting mats equal 3’ x 5’, and while that size would’ve been ideal, I couldn’t beat the price! it’s counter top night, so I don’t have to bend when cutting, etc. but trying to figure out where to store the ironing board, if I make one. My apartment has flooded twice in the last 3 years, so I don’t dare put anything on the floor, and with Covid and the crazy housing market, can’t find anything, right now! Thanks again for your feed back!
Love the table. Perfect for a cutting table. There is a ikea. Where I live but I have not gone to see it yet. Think I will check it out. Thanks for your organizing tips. Looking forward to next visit.
Thank you Deborah! I hope you enjoy the store. It's always so fun to see the products on the showroom floor. I'm still waiting for a few things to come back in stock, but they do have the office chair I've been looking at so I think I'll run over this week to get that at least.
I absolutely adore you. I would bet that carpenters curse like sailors when they are sewing, so don't feel bad. We all have our superpowers. Blessings!
I have an old kitchen cupboard circa 1940s? (which has double doors on top and bottom with a serving shelf between the rows of cabinets), a Hoosier and an old armoire that I use to store fabric and other quilting/sewing supplies. Should I even tell you that I also have a closet in my sewing room with shelves my husband put up that also is full of fabric and self-made precuts! Told you before I could have a mini fabric store...now, I'd best get to sewing! :)
Just a bit of feedback. Your video was thorough but, frankly, not very encouraging. I, too, used IKEA to re-do my sewing room but I chose a Kallax hack seen on Pinterest. It consists of 3 2/2 kallax units back to back with the third against the end, facing out. After assembly I anchored them together in three places, attached a pre-cut piece of 3/4” plywood using the locking casters at the corners. I did ask a neighbor to help me flip it right side up but actually could probably have done it alone. I used the board from the previous makeshift cutting table because the size works in my space. It’s raw because I cover it with my preferred layers of cardboard cutting mat and large self-healing mat. The size is almost identical to yours. I put doors on several of the cubes and drawers in several others. And I use attractive baskets to hold supplies. I can -and have- moved it around a bit on carpet as I find the ideal location, with very little effort. I found the assembly relatively easy, a bit like sewing garments and really enjoyed the process; RUclips was helpful for the doors and drawers. My sewing room is in the basement but I was able to get all the parts downstairs by opening the boxes while still in my car, taking out as much as I could carry, and heading down and up again. That was double benefit as I got great exercise and did it at my own pace. Heck, it’s Covid, I’m not going anywhere! (BTW, I’m 74, have had a heart attack, have problem back and knees.). I assembled 2 large kallax units (4/2), 2 shelves, and 2 tables at right angles for conventional and serger machines- and didn’t go nuts during lockdown! Swedish modern is not my style but the modular units, functional storage, budget-friendly pricing made it work for me. It’s not my living room, it’s a work room, now a pleasant workroom!
Thanks Kathleen. It was supposed to be me sharing about a new thing I’m using that I really like in my sewing space. I am committed to honesty and I’m not going to promote something as easy that everyone can do if I don’t believe that to be true. I would rather someone be prepared for difficulty than lie and say how easy something is (when I know it isn’t). Not everything is easy in life and to tell people otherwise is setting them up for failure. I would prefer setting people up for success. But I will take your criticism under advisement. ❤️ I still say this piece of furniture is not a beginner project. Kallax is a good place to start. But not this. I stand by that assertion.
Oh how interesting. I didn't realize they changed their standard products so much. I do like the wood shelves but I can see where stainless would be nice for a kitchen use. But of course we are using ours "off label." LOL
Thank you!! I'm trying to work with what I have so I don't over do the "stuff" but it is a good idea if I need to add something! My room is coming along, and I'm uploading a new video now about how it's currently set up.
Patty, sounds like a bear to assemble, but your sewing island is beautiful and functional. Might even be able to pick up a larger top to lay over this one if more workspace is needed. Thanks for sharing this. I see things like this on the IKEA website, but there's nothing like seeing it actually assembled and in someone's house. Appreciate your feedback on this. Happy creating! 🧵🪡 From Cheryl in AZ
Thank you Cheryl! What I would really like is to put together a second one and it could run end to end for long projects and side to side for a wide space. Plus more storage on the shelves. With the sliders I can move it around easy to configure as needed. But that is down the road a bit. For now, this setup is perfect as is! I absolutely LOVE it. But the bigger space would certainly be more conducive to full sized quilt tops and constructing larger sandwiches. I can't picture anything in my space. I have to see it in the room to understand how it fits. Or doesn't as the case may be.
@@PattymacMakes Ooooh, I like your idea even better. Lots of functionality with that. You could slide your islands around into the configuration you need. Smart!
@@PattymacMakes My husband is a carpenter by trade. He tries not to swear, so when he does . . . I crack up because it sounds so foreign coming from him. Keep your humor girl!

Certainly appreciate your honesty. My cursing does intensify when I’m usually working with technology Speaking of technology I see that this video was done eight months ago have you figured out how to do your lifestream yet I haven’t checked out your entire channel Of course you know there’s a RUclips video on how to do live streaming on RUclips 😀🤪😀😸😆
Thank you!! Well, my streaming issue is using the nice camera for a decent picture. Maybe I will do it that way down the road if the channel takes off and I can purchase another camera for it. I only have the one camera and I think I would wear it out trying to stream with it. But, I was able to invest in a new computer with a big upgrade to the webcam AND a great new light, so I'm going to try out using those two together to do streams. Did you have something in mind you are most interested in seeing?
@@PattymacMakes 🤔🤔🤔 I was going to make that vinyl bag, M&Ms the one that Jennie did on Missouri star quilt company. So I wouldn’t mind seeing more tutorials on how do use that vinyl. What drives me crazy, and it doesn’t take much LOL is when they don’t tell you what type of thread to use and what type of needle to use also they don’t tell you stitch length and they can’t just assume that we know all of this. My thoughts are if you’re going to produce a tutorial you should provide all of this information instead of having us now leave your channel and go search and say “oh what is the best needle to use for selling vinyl, Sir Google” I’m not saying that is with your channel I’m referring back to that video on the vinyl bag
@@PattymacMakes OK I finally came up with an idea that I would love it if you could do a video on this or maybe you already have. So I have the IKEA cube storage unit and I purchased some storage boxes from the dollar tree. But of course they don’t have the nice colors. I want to cover it with fabric however I’m not sure how to get over the handle that is on the box and I want to keep the handle. I did spray paint these boxes but the blue isn’t the blue that I really want so now I want to just cover the front. But the front has that handle. Any suggestions? Or do you think it’s worth doing A video tutorial on this because a lot of us buy these storage boxes and I’m sure it’s more cost-effective to get them from the dollar store then to go online and pay I don’t know how much it is for a package of three
The only IKEA furniture for my "sewing room" is the Kallax for the record player. Since you mentioned sewing rooms looking the same, mine is a dining room complete with a chandelier.
That sounds so nice!! I wish we could share pictures here. RUclips kind of missed it by not building in a more inclusive community feature for us. I should start a thread to share our rooms in the facebook group!

I absolutely LOVE this piece! It's made a huge difference in my enjoyment of my work and it is very nice to use for cutting and prepping blocks for finished pieces.
@@PattymacMakes and the height is great. I am fairly tall. So I want a cutting table/working space where I am not constantly leaning over. Thanks again.😍
Thank you so much!! I have been enjoying it like crazy the past couple of weeks that I've been using it. Next to my Patchwork that I bought last summer, it's the best investment in my sewing space that I've done.
What a great piece of furniture for your craft table! I have one of those fold type tables from the craft store, I believe it was around $100.00. It’s wobbly and uneven so I have to put a shim under to leaves or it messes with cutting a straight line with the rotary cutter and ruler. I’ve never been to Ikea but hope to someday soon. I really love your new creative space and look for to your live videos. Blessings, Linda Hardesty
Thank you Linda! Sturdy work tables make a really big difference. This piece is pretty heavy and super sturdy and has been amazing to work on. I have love the new space so much. The improved light and space make such a positive difference.
@@PattymacMakes I really love your new craft space. It’s so bright and cheerful. Another thing I like about your new craft table is the storage beneath. I always have stacks of fabric and patterns that seem to accumulate on my cutting table. Have a wonderful Sunday. Blessings, Linda Hardesty
@@craftoncue The shelves are and amazing help! I'm still organizing my fabrics and figuring out what I'm doing with the smaller pieces. But it's coming along and it's been amazing to use so far. Having my fabric out where I can see it and use it is incredibly helpful.
If you go with a plan, and if you do the curbside pickup it's totally worth it. I ordered my items ahead of time and so I knew they would have what I went in for and it was pre paid. I still browsed the store and enjoyed that, but I knew my items were there for me when I went in.
I’ve got a storage solution for fabric that has been working well. I am guilty of stocking up when there's a sale, so I’ve accumulated a stash of quilting cottons and flannel that are 2-3 yards. I have been using skirt hangers with the clips, but you can’t do this with stretchy fabrics. Also for fabric that I buy for a specific project, the sweater boxes from Container Store work great. If you join their list, they periodically email 30% off coupons making things affordable. My next project is to add more shelves in the closet for storage. I just have to finish cleaning my sons things out and moving them to his house. 😂
I apologize for the flurry of posts, but I just found your RUclips! Like a lot of people my sewing room is a work in progress, and I always like seeing new ideas.
Thank you so much for all your great input and advice, Lori! I would buy stuff thinking I would make a certain project, and then it never happened. So now I have a bit of a stash issue. However, I did start wrapping my fabrics into mini bolts, and it's been amazing. I did film the process and talk about it, but I have not made the video yet. That has been so incredible to work with.

That is awesome!
I am IMPRESSED with the Tornviken and with how you are using it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Thank you Mary!! I am super proud of myself for getting it together on my own. But it was a heck of a challenge. It was totally worth it, though.
I still love using this piece of furniture for my sewing!
It's amazing how functional Ikea furniture is! Those sliders have saved my back for decades. They are amazing.
I bought my kitchen island/cutting table and got it together! I love it!!!
Oh my gosh!! That is great news!
I’ve always liked ikea for functionality.....works For Me!...🙋🏼♀️🌻🐝
Thank you!! I LOVE them!!
You are so practical and funny. I laughed at your comments of putting furniture together.
Thank you!! Not everyone gets my dry sense of humor so I'm always so happy when viewers get me. I do love the table BTW. I'm using it this weekend!
By the way... “cursing like a sailor”... I loved that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
Thank you so much for sharing Carolina!! I love my setup too! It's all been amazing to use and as I figure out what I'm putting where, it feels wonderful to be organized and tidy.
Your room is really coming together. You are going to really enjoy your space when you get settled (because a craft room is never really done).
Thanks Marnie!! I have been using it to enjoy it and it's been so amazing to work in!
I love it! Thanks for the realness with how challenging it can be sometimes, but it is totally doable! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Janet! The cutting mat fits beautifully! It's a joy to work on.
The island looks great. So smart to put it on the sliders so you can move it by yourself if you need
Thank you Jamie! I love it so much, but it's so heavy. Thank goodness for sliders so I can do things by myself.
Thank you for sharing, i love IKEA furniture, affordable, durable and very functional in the entire house, I really like your space, neat plain . Blessings
Thank you so much Elizabeth! It’s a bit strange but I do love using it
Thank you so much Elizabeth! Blessings to you!
That sounds AMAZING!!! I'm not handy enough to do a complete furniture build so a kit like this really works for me. But yours sounds incredible!
I purchased the same IKEA kitchen table as a cutting table for my sewing studio! Perfect piece.
I'll have to look that one up! I've had some time to really use this one since filming the video and I absolutely love it.
I look forward to additional videos from you. The cadence of your voice is so lovely and reassuring; sew along video would be so enjoyable.
LOL
Hard sliders-game changer. Thanks.
I can't live without them!
You had me feeling sorry for you and laughing with you ! I truly struggle with assembly.Your studio is wonderfully functional and lovely at the same time. Blessings from a follower of Jesus.😊
Thank you my lovely sister!! I love my sewing space sooooo much!! I only wish I had more time to actually use it for sewing.
Love your video seem down to earth and love furniture from ikea great work. UouTube videos are great learn alot from them Keep up the great work. Love all of your comments about Jesus and gussing too funny
Thank you Ellen! I try to be myself when I make these videos, so I'm glad that appeals to you. I appreciate you watching!!
I wanted a cutting table to fit the large cutting mat so I found a dresser the right width and height and cut 3/4 plywood to fit the mat. The dresser has ten drawers and I had room behind it for a six cube unit. Looks great and works really well!
Oooo that’s a great sounding piece! It’s kind of mind blowing how much space it takes to do decent cutting and quilt top layout and sandwich prep. 🥪
I lack the imagination to reinvent “new” from “old”and would love to get an idea what your work-station looks like. I promise,...I SERIOUSLY PROMISE , not to bother you with any more questions or photo requests should you decide to upload a photo. Thank you so much!
I just went and picked up a Billy Bookcase yesterday. The last piece of furniture for the sewing room I’m creating.
Oh Billy is so nice! The Daughter on Quilting Life uses Billy in her space. She did a pretty custom hack on hers you might enjoy.
I checked & the Tornviken table is now $499.99 (before tax & shipping). You got a really good price! 😊
Holy COW!! That got super expensive. I'm so grateful I got mine when I did. I absolutely LOVE it for sewing projects. Thanks for the update!
Thank yo uso much Stephanie! I do appreciate that!! More definitely coming! I absolutely LOVE this island as my work top. I used it today!
LOL
It does look like a very nice piece. Wish there was an Ikea near.
I absolutely LOVE it and use it every time I sew. I feel so blessed to have one so near to me.
Thank you!
That's wonderful Fran!! Having a dedicated room is the best thing I've done for my sewing.
Your glasses are adorable and so are you. Your Jesus analogy just CRACKED ME UP! ❤️
Thank you Shar!! I do try to keep us laughing.
Thank you for introducing me to Tornviken. I just bought it as my cutting table, I can’t wait!!!!!
That' so awesome!! I love mine!
I just put together a ikea piece today and it was very trying. Took me all day for a small piece
Thanks for sharing your experience Diane! Yeah these items can be a real challenge. I have a wall cupboard I've put together but it's so heavy I have to figure out how to safely secure it. My next project to figure out.
Love your glasses, very flattering.
Thank you!
Patty, you have really evolved since your 1st video ! Just look at you go!
(Hope your Mom is still improving)
Not kidding I started laughing as you described assembly of this island and seriously couldn’t stop. You made my day.
I"m so happy to hear that! I tested me like no other furniture assembly has done. But I'm glad I stuck with it because I love the finished piece.
Kitchen island for my craft room work space, a wood tool bench as the work space for my sewing room work surface. Three hours to the nearest IKEA - in Canada no less 😳 - but I’m happy with atypical storage.
Sometimes the best solutions are the unexpected ones. That’s how I feel about my setup.
Pattymac, this is a handsome piece of furniture. I was giggling when you were talking about putting it together. You'll love it in your space !
LOL!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed my story. It was a challenge and I definitely had to ask for a little extra forgiveness that weekend.
Love seeing your space grow. Enjoy the process.
Thank you so much Dyane!
This video just popped up in my feed. I really enjoyed it! I love your plants-especially that large split leaf philodendron.
Thank you so much Sandy!! I appreciate you watching, and YES I love my plants.
That sounds like a very clever and wonderful set up!! I love IKEA products so much! Thanks for sharing your set up!

Good luck.
I love ikea! We have one about 30 mins away. I use there shelving system in my sewing room
That's about how far away mine is! I I feel so spoiled to have it and I am ready to go back!

I💞 it.
Iam waiting for your Sewing Videos !!! Just do what your Heart 💓 tells you to do .
All The Best !!!
Thanks so much Gayathri! I appreciate your kind comment so much!
Blessings!
Ha ha!! Great point!! Thank you watching and leaving such a supportive comment 🥰
That all sounds so charming and pretty! I love vintage!! Get sewing my friend!
@@PattymacMakes I sincerely apologize if I sounded critical. We all have different skills. You definitely seem very honest and candid.
I bought this unit around 4 years ago. It then had stainless shelves, not pine. I also use it for a cutting table, and sew on it too.
Oh how interesting. I didn't realize they changed their standard products so much. I do like the wood shelves but I can see where stainless would be nice for a kitchen use. But of course we are using ours "off label." LOL
Luv your craft room 😍! I think you can even add another cart under the new furniture fir extra storage.
Thank you!! I'm trying to work with what I have so I don't over do the "stuff" but it is a good idea if I need to add something! My room is coming along, and I'm uploading a new video now about how it's currently set up.
Oh my goodness ... LOVED the cussing story. LOL! Love you Pattymac!
LOL!!! I had to share that tidbit.
So beautiful and beautiful craftwomanship!!!
You are SO KIND. Thank you so much!! I love this new addition to my sewing room lineup and I do feel quite accomplished getting this thing together!
Smart!
Jesus was a non swearing carpenter!! I am dying with laughter!! Great add to the day!
I'm so happy you get my sense of humor!
@@PattymacMakes My husband is a carpenter by trade. He tries not to swear, so when he does . . . I crack up because it sounds so foreign coming from him. Keep your humor girl!
I just found your channel and I really enjoy it. I never thought about if Jesus used such language when He was working as a carpenter! That’s why He’s perfect and we’re not!
Exactly!! It just struck me as funny and I'm glad I'm not the only one. Thanks for watching! I really do appreciate it!
❤️ Beautiful piece!! Hard sliders!!! I didn’t even know these existed, thank you!
I have several extras so I''d be happy to pop some in the post for you!
Omgosh, your Jesus story.... wow never related carpentry DIY in that way, love the perspective! 💜
Thank you! I struck me as super funny and ironic when I was working on this thing.
Certainly appreciate your honesty. My cursing does intensify when I’m usually working with technology
Speaking of technology I see that this video was done eight months ago have you figured out how to do your lifestream yet I haven’t checked out your entire channel
Of course you know there’s a RUclips video on how to do live streaming on RUclips 😀🤪😀😸😆
My thoughts are if you’re going to produce a tutorial you should provide all of this information instead of having us now leave your channel and go search and say “oh what is the best needle to use for selling vinyl, Sir Google”
I’m not saying that is with your channel I’m referring back to that video on the vinyl bag
Or do you think it’s worth doing A video tutorial on this because a lot of us buy these storage boxes and I’m sure it’s more cost-effective to get them from the dollar store then to go online and pay I don’t know how much it is for a package of three
Your island is beautiful. Enjoy!
Thank you!! And it's so helpful. I absolutely LOVE it.
@@PattymacMakes I agree on wishing to share pictures. Thankfully, another channel I subscribe to featured the room as a vinyl den. It's at the nine minute thirty second mark. ruclips.net/video/_Ol4Zfti8hU/видео.html
That is beautiful! What a great idea for a craft room!
Thanks Cindy! I love that island so much. It's been amazing for my work. I was afraid of spending so much money on it, but now that I've had all these months to use it, I am really happy I took the chance and got it.
Oh My. I will start it and My husband will take over.
That is an excellent plan!!! 😂😂😂
Thank you so much Patty for sharing making video. I love that table, and for sure will be buying it when I put togehter my new sewing room. Fabulous video!😍
Beautiful Ikea furniture. Good luck
Thank you so much! I see people being highly critical of Ikea products, but I've been really happy with all of my purchases.
Paddy, it looks great! you'll definitely get a lot of use out of it.
Thank you for sharing this. Looks great!
I love my cutting table!
I really like you kitchen island. lol. It is really pretty. Ikea is 2.5 hours from me and I have been really wanting to go. I haven't been in years.
The island is great but I love love love your glasses x
Thank you!
