I’m like holding my breath watching you do that! 😳… thinking that brand was just determined to stay there…..glad the Shelter was saved. Nice job….Happy New Year BTW!
Great save Jim! Glad you caught that branch now before it fell on the shelter. The bloody high winds that we have been having in the Atlantic Provinces is unreal. Shelter is holding up great! Thanks for sharing. :) :)
Good job Jim. Just now finally getting to watch this. Looks like some good firewood to me! Hope all is well your way! We are getting snow today and welcome at that.
hi Jim ! I ordered some merch for my cousin as a christmas gift, she was literally over the moon about it. just wanted to say thanks for making our holidays ! hehe
Hi Jim,happy new year to you and your's, I hope your all keeping well. That widowmaker looked alot bigger once you had it on the floor, when we see em hanging up in the tree tops we don't realise how much weight is hanging there, just waiting to get ya,!. Or spoil your day one way or another, If I go to my usual woods after a storm it's surprising how many branches and dead trees have come down, and there's always new widowmakers to take note of , and avoid. Thanks for the video mate, stay safe, best wishe's to all, Stuart Uk.
Great job pulling that large branch down it could have put a large hole in the tarps , now you have firewood, shelter looks awesome still, we had a big snow / wind storm where I am in Ontario around Christmas looks like you folks had some of that. Hope 2023 is good to you and your family take care until next time .
Thanks Sue. We’re expecting a bit of snow tomorrow maybe followed by some rain in the southern parts of NB. We’ll have to wait and see how it develops!
That reflectix mylar inside makes it super. If you had the radiant barrier (3/4 inch cottom fabric with mylar) you would have an awesome structure with massiv heat control.
Mice and squirrels would shred the cotton to make their own nests. I added Mylar sheets to my previous shelter but I think it made it too reflective and that’s why it was discovered by strangers who stole my trail cameras.

The shelter is truly a test of time an has been proven time an again..That dead fall could have been bad but the you got it in time.Happy New Year to ya an thanks for sharing

That broken branch looked so much smaller way up in that tree. I was amazed at how big it was when I got it down!
Hot coffee on a cold day, and after a good job removing a threat, sounds good to me.
It was a good day 🤠👍🏼
That turned far better than it could have. Great job Jim!
I was lucky it came down as slowly as it did!
Good idea to get that out of there. dont need widow makers about. All the best buddy.
Well Done! Glad you were able to avoid the damage that tree top could have caused.
Thanks! Slow and steady wins the day 🤠👍🏼

Thanks Stephen!
too bad those tarps didn't hold their color.
Yeah they faded quickly, faster than I expected.
I was wondering if you have done any winter overnight camping or is it just to cold? As always I enjoyed the video.
No overnight stays yet this winter. I’m hoping to do an overnight stay in an upcoming weekend.
Oh yes sir! Ol' cowboy Jim😂😂
