    Good thumbs-up job on the product review. I have another popular brand that runs on butane and we have been impressed with it. More and more though I am learning to appreciate the simplicity of rechargeable battery powered devices.

      I like it because of it's small size, doesn't use expensive fuel and pads (like Thermacell's), and the extra features: carabiner, lantern, magnet and tripod mount. On SUPER it gets quite hot, hotter than a Thermacell, so be aware of that.
      Thanks for watching! 🤠👍

    Hey Jim, good to see you. I just saw a video the other day saying that mosquitos and gnats and other insects like roaches, hate the smell of burning coffee. Have you ever heard that?

    • @MuskratJim
      @MuskratJim  3 месяца назад

      I hadn't heard that, but apparently ants don't like coffee grounds so you can sprinkle that around the ant hills. I've never tried it though.

    Hey Jim long time no see. - Nice little gadget. I have thing for indoors that plugs into a USB plug. I use a spray for personal protection.

    • @MuskratJim

      Yeah, I was away for a while... my younger brother passed away suddenly at the end of May. His passing took the wind out of my sails, so I didn't feel like talking in front of a camera. I'm just trying to get back into it now.
      I have one of those indoor USB things but I've tried it outdoors while it was plugged into a power bank. It works a bit, but doesn't quite get hot enough. I made a comparison video of it and a Thermacell about two years ago. If you haven't seen it yet, here's the link: ruclips.net/video/XDxJ74wlDY4/видео.html
      I spray my boots and lower legs with Deep Woods Off to protect me from ticks. I also carry Coglan's Mosquito Coils for an inexpensive but effective smudge when I'm camping. They worked when I was a kid and they still work 50 years later! 🤠👍

    I mentioned to RUclips Kenny of All Trades (Minnesota) and his state mosquito hummingbirds - cousins of the Canadian mosquito hummingbirds ... if one could plug in those anti-bug house devices (chasing away ants, silverfish, cockroaches, ...) if they could also be used in his camper. as they are low voltage and energy consumption devices. If one could find some battery source, with these modified anti-bug devices, one could have a great long-running device, low battery usage, and chase away all the critters.

    A kingdom for an auto-focus that works in 2024.😂

    • @MuskratJim
      @MuskratJim  3 месяца назад

      I know!! I'm using a new camera and the auto-focus is either not turned on or it just doesn't work as well as my old camera. If I can't figure it out I'll have to do close-ups with my older camera and just use my new camera for windy conditions (because it has an external microphone with a foam cover).
