I deep condition with heat for 45 mins to an hour. I don't go to bed with wet hair so definitely, deep conditioning overnight would be a no-no for me. Like you, I add oil to my strands during the deep conditioning step. My hair is thriving and I am loving it. Your hair is so beautiful.

I apply my deep conditioner in sections. apply oil to my scalp as a hot oil treatment. Then use my heat cap to help the dc penetrate my strands.

I haven’t used a product labeled deep conditioner in years. But I still technically deep condition because I will leave in a rinse out conditioner while I do the rest of my shower routine. Then I detangle with my Kazmaleje brush (thanks for the tip that brush changed the game ) and rinse out the conditioner. I stopped using deep conditioners because they are more expensive and I didn’t see any difference in health of my hair after using them for years. I found them to be unnecessary and so I cut them out and my hair has been just fine. I may try using my rinse out conditioner with a heated cap and see if that takes my hair care to the next level.

Adding my DC in a warm shower, with warm water/steam is the best for me. I then sit under my dryer for the time that’s under the bottle, then I detangle fully with a brush. Literally A1

Great tips! Thank you. I follow the directions on everything I use and couldn't imagine having conditioner, deep or otherwise, in my hair overnight.

Yeah I have a sensitive scalp so I have no choice but to shampoo and deep condition weekly. I leave my deep conditioner on for 30 minutes with my conditioning electric heat cap. I detangle after leave-ins before styling. I have lot of strands so I have to do sections. My Sensitive scalp stops me from leaving rinse out or deep conditioner in overnight. I use a seamless wide toothcomb to make sure all of my hair is coated. My trichologists banned me from using raw oils so I only use it to pre-poo and then shampoo.

I only deep condition for the time it says on the product. I also don't have enough hair to warrant sections but I do have to condition my daughter's hair in sections because she has way more hair than I do

I follow how u described. I every so often dc overnight if I'm lazy. Lol. I had moisture overload so I stop doing that as often. I used to do it alot. Great video!

I always worked the deep condition into my hair strands then allow it to sit for 60 mins (sometimes 15- 30 mins when I don't have the time or don't feel like being extra) while wearing double or triple plastic bags on my head. lol I don't use any heating tools often (unless I silk press my hair-- 1-2xs out a year). Yet, I'm thinking about using a blow dryer during my next wash day to elongate my hair for mini twists.

I started wearing my deep conditioner to bed overnight and my hair loves it, so I am going to continue to do it. I use Adwoa Baomint Deep Conditioner and have been doing that for the past year. I wash my hair every 10 days or so and I clarify it everytime. My hair has grown like nobody's business over the past year. But part of that is because I stopped blow drying my hair as well. I notice that if I don't sleep with the deep conditioner, my hair doesn't act as well. So, I have just added it to my routine.

just thought I would share my own recommendations, I love the texture id mask at sallys, it works in 7-10 minutes so i dont even leave the shower to rinse it out. i havent stepped out of the shower to deep condition in like two years, lol. ive seen the health of my hair improve using this mask along with their spray leave in and its only been a few uses.

I deep condition weekly and use a hot head or steamer but I don't steam more than twice a month. I work my conditioner in and let sit for whatever the directions say and never longer than an hour if I get side tracked.

I deep condition or rinse out condition in sections in the shower. The conditioner stays on for the length of time it takes me to take my shower then I detangle and rinse it out and apply my styler.

I used the shae moisture hydrating mask with kelp and Shae butter last night and I was NOT prepared for the thickness of it and was kinda mad at first. But then I was like... let me try it with my bonnet dryer and it made a huuuge difference.

I normally deep condition for 1 hour with my heat cap and my hair in sections. I do prepoo overnight though because my lowpo hair loves it and mostly out of laziness. But I have prepooed for a few hours in the morning before shampooing later in the day.

Is it okay to leave aloe vera overnight? Or would it have the same affect as an actual conditioner?

It isn’t the same as a conditioner. Give it a try, should be fine

I started detangling after the deep conditioner has sat for 15 minutes under the steamer. So much faster for me. Before I started using heat, my hair was so frizzy. Leaving it on while I showered was not working.

I know that this is an older video. But you have quite a few videos that are in constant rotation, even multiple year old ones . But anyway, what I wanted to say was this was the first time that I noticed that the light blue thing was a towel and not a part of your top. When I first saw this I could not understand why you had on this school girl top/dress. I think I was listening to the video as I did chores. I only quickly glanced at the actual scene. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
