    I've watched a lot of onboard in my time but what ur putting out is electrifying. Going into an unlimited class with a 2020 gt500 is the freshest thing out here right now. 19's are the perfect tire for it too. That wing was the right call too. Among cars putting down more than 700 bhp I'd rather be in the shoes of somebody pulling out weight and adding downforce to a gt500 than just accepting what a mclaren or a gt2 rs are giving you stock..I don't think any Nissan gtr could go toe to toe with it either regardless of class...good stuff--

    Great run, man it was exhilarating to watch my dream stang on the track.. Best part is you had fun and the modifications all came together. 4200lbs car is heavy on the track, but a great driver with unique skills and determination is what put you ahead of the pack. I remember you taking me on a drive right when you got the first GT350, you were flying down these roads in Mexico...not gonna lie....was a few pucker moments for me LOL. But now I see all of that talent coming through. So awesome!

    Would love to see this thing run laguna seca I hear the base one even did great out there and see it at willow springs. You have speed Phenom who sold his base waiting on his cftp and I think they delayed his car so much because he played up the c8 so much

    Super smart. What device is mounted on your dash. In the center?? What does it monitor.?.?
    would you recommend installing a HUD

    I run ncm a decent amount on my bikes an want to ale my gt500 out there. I want to do cat delete pipes but still be legal there. Can you share the info on the silencers your using to be legal with cat delete pipes?

      This is not easy to accomplish actually and I’m still trying to figure out the best way to accomplish it. The gt500 actually blows the 103db sound limit bone stock. Some simple 4” muffler silencers in the valved tips utilizing the little drain hole to put a nut and bolt through will do the tick. You might have to slightly open the hole to get the bolt in. Once you remove the cats, it’s LOUD! This is where it gets tricky with the stock exhaust. I welded the silencers up to completely block off the hole and that worked for the event, sorta... The problem is with only one bolt holding the silencer in on the bottom of the exhaust tips and the silencers welded shut, they end up bending outward from exhaust pressure causing me to blow sound multiple times throughout the weekend. So, I went back to the drawing board and removed the exhaust actuators and used some safety wire to wire the valves permanently shut for the track. This definitely makes it quite enough however under wide open throttle the car was misfiring due to the lack of exhaust flow and was unusable on track. There are some additional baffles you can buy at NCM and shove into the exhaust system somewhere but I’m currently considering building a full custom exhaust with extra baffling.

    That's awesome man but why was it so important for you to get the carbon GT350R wheels on the car when your GT500 CFTP came from ford with carbon wheels as well? I mean you had to change the steering knuckle over to the 350's, long wheel studs, and wheel spacers all to get those 19 inch carbon 350R wheels to fit over the brakes when the 500 already has 20 inch carbon wheels to begin with that fit over the brakes just fine the way they are.. Please explain what the benefit of doing this was? Was it to save money on buying new r compound tires for the 500 wheels or was it to save a few pounds because the 350's wheels are 19's vs the 500's 20's??     Why the gt350 wheels and brake? I thought the GT500 brakes were better. Plus seeing people get the 16.5inch rotors carbon ceramics for the GT500 and braking it’s pulling huge Gs

      It all comes down to tire options. There just aren’t any tires made in 20” that would be competitive in time attack. I’ll likely do a video explaining more in detail.

      Serpent Stangs another question would be do you feel having to clog the exhaust slows it or messes with performance. That is just irritating that they do that at some tracks but yet some of the rice grinders sound louder just have a different tone.

      Yes, it definitely hurts performance to plug the exhaust like that. I bet it’s 15-20hp easy. I did data log it that way though so that the tune would be correct with the plugs in.

    Just curious about the set up do you think if you used the factory rims would it have made a difference and the rear wing could you feel the difference and what did it feel like and now that it's over what do you think you should have done differently if anything? Thanks I enjoyed watching.

      At the time I was running 315-30-19 and 325-30-19. It’s now on 345 square on custom 19x12 wheels.

      It boils down to tire availability. There isn’t a tire for a 20” wheel that would be competitive in unlimited class.

      Yes, it’s unfortunately a very heavy car but one good thing about that is there is some substantial weight savings to be had. I’ll be revealing my new build very soon which will be much lighter.
