They are sort of court-proven. They don't have logs, but in some cases a court has ordered them to log the IP address of criminals and they've had to comply (just like Signal, they also only have an IP). Proton wrote that if you want to hide even your IP, you should use Tor to access Proton.
The only important part is mail. If you lose that, it would be very bad. Make backups, use your own domain and you can switch all services in no time. What I don't like is that it's designed for the web browser. I prefer to use good programs. Before I switch my main mail to Proton, I will wait for IMAP support.
Tutanota is also great, but it doesn't offer a vpn or password manager. A comparison with mailbox would be better. They do not have a vpn either, but have an online office, xmpp messenger and video calls. 😉

That’s not court proven that’s given away ip lol
Is it a good deal? Sure. However, I'm not so sure people should be putting all their stuff into one company, even if it's Proton.

Frankly i just dont want to use google. So i dont really care. Proton has not broken my trust yet so im happy.
That review was honest and definitely more than fair. Well Done!
Much appreciated! Was waiting to see your reaction lol
You know? It would be great having a match between proton and tutanota in terms of the private ecosystem! Can we see it in the future?
