    Hint for viewers: Proton Visionary is a legacy product and can usually not be purchased anymore. Only way it during this Black Friday Deal and only if you are already on an Unlimited plan. Then and only then, you'll get the offer to upgrade!

    Proton is where its at! I wish they had a banking app as well I'd bank with them in a heart beat. So far I've got the vpn plus sub & the proton pass but probably gonna be checking out the storage & calendar app as well. I'm impressed by how well the free versions work too

    When both the email and the VPN services are provided by the same company, it becomes easier for government officials to access your data, if necessary. Only one request is required in such a scenario :)

    • @AGENT47ist
      @AGENT47ist Год назад +9

      They cannot hand over the data or the content, because they are stored with zero access encryption, and since it is based in Switzerland neither the US or the EU have jurisdiction. Only the Swiss authorities can authorize something which then it has to go to a Swiss Federal Court. Most of the times, I would say 8/10 they do not even care, because they know people just want some privacy, except if someone tries to use it for malicious purposes. So when a government asks for data, it has to state a reason, to the Swiss authorities. Proton Technologies only answer to the Swiss authorities.

    ProtonVPN fucked up my connection to the internet. Poor help troubleshooting. Ever since downloading it (having long uninstalled it) any online game I play has unplayably-frequent disconnects. (COD Modern Warfare, League of Legends, Vermintide II, Valorant, Pokemon Showdown, Overwatch 2) I've reached out to my ISP, reset my modern and router, checked for updates on my network adapters, flush/renewed my dns, factory reset my PC!!! and countless others. Still no fix, all I know is it happened exactly after getting Proton

      Dude you screwed that up yourself because you probably had no real clue what you were doing. Dont blame Proton for that. They have several warnings about being cautious what you install the vpn on & the consequences of doing so when you install it incorrectly.

    How about a list of products and services that DON'T have both a free and paid version. As someone that lives on disability benefits in this economy even a $5 subscription is too much. Fully free and fully functional with no locked features.
    Including legally questionable services.

  • @humanlongevityawaken4264

    No, you can not trust Proton anymore than any other VPN. In fact a number of other both free and paid (although most are a lot cheaper than Proton) are just as good or better than Proton. One that comes to mind if Surfshark which is actually much better, has more features, and is MUCH cheaper. Another is Nord VPN which although not as good as Surfshark, is just as good or better than Proton and of course MUCH cheaper. I could go on with many more.

    • @Maledis87
      @Maledis87 7 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I agree with your statement. ProtonVPN by itself is almost as expensive as most of the top VPNs. The benefit with proton is that they have a suite of apps. I am going to try ProtonVPN on my tv when I get back to the USA. My father in law wants to stream to his home country and that's my only use for it now. Most of VPN is marketing to people who probably don't need one.
