First time I heard this song I was on vacation in Toronto in the summer of 83. To this day it’s one of my favorite songs, and I’m so glad to see the guys sounding so tight. Awesome performance gents!
I heard this on the radio while driving two night ago ... and thought ... wow, it's great to hear Honeymoon Suite, again. Happy to have stumbled on this today.
Oh jesus.. great song taking me back to happier days by a band kicking ass in the 20's from 1984.... can't believe it. They are so awesome and Johnnie's voice has not changed. Love BOOM too!! Listen everyday!! ... and now i'm crying.
Home grown 30 years ago, I was there studying in Toronto and lucky enough to witness their success, great band back then and now, I still have their sounds in my car and all portable devices, good to see them still active
He’s a very sweet kid guitarist, no question. Very tasteful and doesn’t overplay. I loved this band in my early teens and still love their music. Great Canadian band that is vastly underrated.
They bang, first time I actually heard this was back in high school, when I was leaving that Friday at 3:15, and just cranking this in the Pontiac, what a time. This song brings back fond memories of high school and all the shit we did and got away with
This song was a big part of my healing way back. It came out the same time my fiancé dumped me and scared me for a long time! It still penetrates my heart today when I hear it. My question way back to her was, what did I say to you, what did you see me do?
I know the feeling, I met a women off a dating site, and she said fate has brought us together. I was honest with her. Then boom she stop talking to me I messaged her ask what did I do wrong, she wouldn't answer.
hoy en un mercado muy popular de Santiago de Chile, llamado persa Bio Bio, compre varios LPs y entre ellos venia el de Honeymoon sweet " Racing After Midnight" lo escuche en la tienda de discos y me parecio fantastico. Cuando llegue a mi casa lo primero que hice fue buscar en youtube a Honeymoon Suite...me parece una banda genial y estoy feliz de haber podido conocer su musica. today in a very popular market in Santiago de Chile, called Persian Bio Bio, I bought several LPs and among them came the one from Honeymoon sweet "Racing After Midnight" I listened to it in the record store and it seemed fantastic. When I arrived at my house, the first thing I did was search RUclips on Honeymoon Suite ... I think it's a great band and I am happy to have known its music.
My favourite Canadian band growing up. I got to sing with them once as well, I was over the moon!! In my opinion Racing After Midnight is not their best album, but one thing about these guys is that all of their albums have great songs on them, and they sound just as good live as they do on record, if not better. I can't wait until they come back again.
I came over from England in /78 and was blown away at the sheer amount of great bands we had here in Canada, only two I can think of not is Big Wreck and Metric, hip hop sucks!
These guys never got the credit they deserved,. Great band
Exactly..well said.
Bad management
They have good credit , none of them went bankrupt or have missed payments .
Alot of Canadian bands in the 80s experienced the same bad management.
Like Haywire @@mckessa17
Thank you Canada for the great bands like these guys.
And Haywire! 👍🎸🔥
No fakery here! This guy’s voice is the same as it was 30 years ago. Amazing.
I love Derry Grehan, he ALWAYS plays his solos exactly like on the albums with no embellishments 👏🏼
Time doesn't always treat old bands well but these guys still sound tight.

The guitar solo was note-for-note perfect from the record.

World wide material !
The intro kicks off like Enter Sandman, followed by a short drum fill, drops seemlessly into the tune. that's a nice bit.
my favourite classic by far
One of the great recognizable 80s bands
Genuine R-O-C-K . . . Awesome Band ! ! !
Wickedly cool
I love the small adjustments he did to the solo. Great job. Tasty, true to the original but not a carbon-copy. Kudos.

Is the host the guy from rockin tonight?
Yes, Stu Jeffries
Is that Stu ? Good rocking tonight baby.
Featuring Bill Murray on bass
The lead guitarist reminds me of Peter Frampton. lol
Check out Derry's solo in Say You Don't Know Me.You will agree that he's an under rated guitar hero.
Are they at church????
kids filming & not enjoying the show... Grrrr
Fucking cel phones :-(
