I’ve been to Monaco several times on boats as Chief Engineer. Did the F1 twice. One year we had Marlboro/Ferrari as our charter guests. Got to meet Michael Schumacher on board. It was interesting but a tremendous amount of work for the crew to have to move the boats out for the safety zone every morning and then back in again at the end of the day, for five days. For those that don’t know, the safety zone is a space between the boats and the dock in case a race car flies off the track. Better it hits the water than a boat full of VIP’s.
It's probably safer for the driver to be fished out than to have a flaming wreck hit something hard. And then the fire issue for the boats next to one another
What I love is you owning up to the small mistakes and dedication to the channel and your craft. I couldn't care less about superyachts, but your journalism, the way that you know the pulse of the industry, know what people will be interested in hearing about, is the best in the world, in my opinion.
There are plenty of channels for people who aren't interested in yachts. I don't care about basket weaving but I don't patronise basket weaving channels to proclaim as such
I also work on Octopus. The AC lines above the fireplace made condensation that leaked on the wood port side column. I had to strip and refinish that column in the owner's lounge, and I also worked in Paul's room. That was Superbowl week 2005 port Everglades. I was also working in that same week doing touch ups on one of the partners of the Pitsburg Steelers yachts right off Las Ola's blvd, well you likely know that Paul owned the Seahawks. So I was working for both teams in that same week, and they were both in Superbowl 2005. Glen Dalby wrote a great letter of reference about the warranty work I did, it was a busy week. Both Octopus and Rising Sun were right across from each other, Glen told the Captain of Rising Sun and I also did touch ups on that yacht. It was one of the coolest weeks of my life
Of course, you think we don't know that? We even talked about it in a news video months ago. And we said the vessel is billed as a yacht although it is a cruise ship.
I'm still trying to figure out just "Why"? I love this channel?! Maybe because I live on the Plains and a Yacht here is actually a cabin cruiser at most!? Oh, well, it's most enjoyable as is the Host!
I too love Monaco for the boats, the Grand Prix, the history, and the overall vibe that always come through from videos and photos of the place. I watch apartment tours, MYS videos, hotel reviews, etc, and having enough time and money or credit to visit one day is on the bucket list. Being in Canada it is a much more exotic save-up-to-go-to place than for a Brit or European. It surprises me to hear you have trouble getting around Port Hercule quickly enough to catch big yachts docking. I'd always presumed maneuvering a large vessel into dock in those relatively small Mediterranean ports would take the better part of an hour to do.
If you like tours the best one is the tour on board the 1940s submarine USS Pampanito and Alcatraz, you can do both in a day, much better than Monaco , but the best tour of all, although it's very expensive is a trip on The Orient express to Venice ,
Guys thank you for bringing us the beauty & class of Monaco. IMHO your attention to detail is uncanny. Thank you for all you do for the channel & your subscribers 😊😊😊 TMP from N.J. 🙏.
The clarify of your camera is unrivalled. I also enjoy the blend of fast boats and faster GP cars. We raced Formula 1 Tunnel Boats for several years and my friend ran all the cars up to and including Indy cars.I always enjoy your insights.
Great video. My wife and I were fortunate to be able to take a Med cruise that originated from Monaco. That evening a number of super yachts came in so that their owners could gamble at the Casino. Several "backed in" right next to the cruise ship we were on.
My favorite race day of the year! Monaco, followed by Indianapolis 500, and NASCAR caps it off with a 600 mile race! I have been a subscriber for a couple years! Love all your video's! Enjoy the weekend my friend!
"...the guy who married Grace Kelly, in case you are wondering" is the best ever presentation of the Prince Rainier😂😂😂 Their son must have the chance to hear it.🎉😂
You got it sir! Even smaller telecom dishes now have small blowers/chillers. I’ve had customers who’ve wanted to paint the dome all sorts of fancy colors.
I LOVE your annual Monaco F1 & yachting videos. Thank you so much for this one. Hopefully we can still look forward to a couple more perhaps just before the race and just after? Thanks for making the effort, we appreciate it!
Another great video! The Unites States' Memorial Day weekend is the biggest one for motorsport. I wake up early (US) and watch the Monaco Grand Prix in the morning, then the Indy 500 in the afternoon, And NASCAR's Coca Cola 600 in the evening. It's a fully day of motorsports and I love watching all three every year. This year, I'll be performing gigs (I'm a drummer) on Saturday and Monday. It's the most fun I have for an entire weekend all year long.
My favorite part was hearing about Octopus being your favorite superyacht. I’d love to hear why. Also, hearing about Monaco and the extreme infrastructure. All fascinating. TY for sharing.
I think he has briefly mentioned it before. From memory he mentioned the ability to go anywhere, ice hull and range etc. plus it has all the equipment such as helicopters, submarine and landing craft to go anywhere. It is a true expedition yacht.
Great video again, long time since I was in Monaco, back in 1993 driving an AC Cobra through the Monaco streets On race weekend , you brought back great memories, thank-you.
I really enjoy the fact you love cars and F1 as well! Perfect combination between supercars and yachts! Would love to see a small segment dedicated to a few more cars while you’re out there. Keep up the good work 👍👍🤙🤙👌👌
Octopus is a truly unique and special yacht. It is a capable explorer, a luxurious playground, and a work of art. It is one of the best yachts in the world, and it is sure to continue to impress for many years to come.
I worked on the fire suppression system for the submarine (Octopus Pagoo) on Octopus so Paul Allen could go and find the last sunk Japanese sub in the Philippine sea, what an amazing vessel it is.
I have been to Monaco a few times. The place stinks of corruption and duplicity, the perfect place for F1 and these grandiose gin palaces. Don't get me wrong, I spent ten years in the yachting industry and the money to buy such vessels is never honestly earned. The racing cars are now irrelevant, merely a sideshow. If you went to FISA and the F1 organisation today and asked to build a circuit such as this the answer would be no. Why not build one in a country of the utmost probity and integrity such as Qatar or even better Zimbabwe?
@@philhawley1219 I just came back from Monaco two weeks ago. We were there eight days IT DOES "reek" of corruption. :) I spent an hour with a real estate agent who gave me "quite the education" on whaat is required to live there. It is not "just" putting money in a Swiss or other European bank and then spending $ 500,000 a year for a drawer full of "rent receipts". A person HAS to apply for residency to rent or buy there..no exceptions. Further, once someone is allowed to stay, they are fully expected to attend a minimum number of :"fund raiser" / charity events while there. And the tickets are anywhere from $ 5,000 to $ 8,000. :) For what ? "The Prince's Trust", "The Grace Kelly Trust", "The Grace Kelly Foundation", etc., etc. And I asked someone at Larvotto Beach, "Who are the beneficiaries of the "Trusts". The woman, in her '70's, simply grimaced and whispered, "Who do you think ?" Albert, Caroline, Stephanie, their children, grandchildren, etc., etc. Monaco is nothing more than a "Family Business". You ARE correct, Sir. :) :)
I lived in Monaco in the early 80’s and they used to start to build up the infrastructure in March. I then worked for a couple of F1 teams, Toleman when Senna was there and Lotus, with Senna through to Hakkinen, so went to several races at Monaco. Had grid access and watched from the old pits at times too. They used to have brilliant races then. Still watch every race now. Love your videos!
You have a passion, and you share it with us. It's really great. If I owned one of those big yachts, I'd invite you on to watch the Grand Prix from there. But I don't. So it's the telly for me.
Love the little insights you give like on the black satdomes and how that isn't a good idea. It's unlikely you'll hear things like that on any "official" yachting channel belonging to a yard.
The safety zone also means no drunken idiots ( yes superyachts have those too) can get ashore and be trackside during the race. ESysman likes Octopus. Give me an explorer yacht like an ocean going tug any day. Dress like the engineer and be anony mouse. Flaunting your wealth is crass.
I was there with my parents in 1972 or so. Loved it. Seemed a bit like paradise. It is a bit like Hawaii, but different. The weather is like California where I lived for 35 years. Now back in NW Europe. Hell on earth.
Another great video, as always. Monaco is an incredibly special place, but it’s an absolute nightmare to work there for the Grand Prix!! Just for info, all the teams have 5 or 6 sets of equipment that bounce around the world.
Love to be there with you and would like to see the shops, people as well as the cars. Could you do a video just on the octopus, history, owners, and what the interior looks like if possible. Thanks for your work, really amazing the money out there.
That’s funny you mentioning Evrima saw it mentioned online sailing by Monaco. I think it’s an interesting concept if the suite prices are more affordable to chartering a smaller yacht, it seems to have all the amenities without the privacy or personalised itinerary.
Like first class plane tickets it's most likely yacht charterers will "downgrade" to a cruise yacht liner thingy (it's not a yacht that's for sure) to save cash the way those who charter jets pay less for first class. People think "oh it's too expensive" but to the target market "oh it's so cheap"
Just there! WoW
I’ve been to Monaco several times on boats as Chief Engineer. Did the F1 twice. One year we had Marlboro/Ferrari as our charter guests. Got to meet Michael Schumacher on board. That's pretty cool man.
It's probably safer for the driver to be fished out than to have a flaming wreck hit something hard. And then the fire issue for the boats next to one another
I would rather be right up front so you can see the race.
@cameronblair6
I was just acknowledging how cool that would be.
With that said, I'm pretty sure they had a pretty dope view.
If not one of the best!
Been there a few years back and saw a wooden sailing yacht which had an incredible nice deck. Better quality than most people have in their homes.
Thank you for being there in that beautiful city.
great post
see you next year in Monaco !
LOVE
The one's i really liked is all of them lol ......This another fine 4K beautiful Boat video.....Thanks again my friend 👍
Old Shoe🇺🇸
LOVE the combination of yachting and motorsports!. Keep it up and THANKS.

Like a kid in a candy shop. Enviable. Cheers.
I like the fact eSysman is reporting on something he loves. It's exciting to watch. Keep the Monaco reports coming in.
SuperYachts at Monaco. Almost as important as the F1 cars. Very enjoyable video.
The newer yachts are nice but Christina O always steals the show, it's just got loads of class and style.
5:14 I like the "Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection" sign on the back! 🤦♂😁
Of course, you think we don't know that? We even talked about it in a news video months ago. And we said the vessel is billed as a yacht although it is a cruise ship.
Fantastic video! It's great to see the F-1 teams setting up, all the amazing super cars and, of course, the gorgeous super yachts. What a treat👍
No gambling for you today mate, with those odds (opposite side dockers)… thanks for the coverage. Love the little details and behind the scenes stuff!
Just cool that your there, you help us dream a little more...always fascinated with these monsters...amazing, Thanks...
Enjoy yourself...
Loving these 'mixed' videos. Can feel the vibes too! (well, a bit!)
Great week 4 racing !
Thanks for F1 updates and knowledge
I like the way you go with the flow. When things can’t go as planned, you find options. That’s real, and it’s entertaining.
Fun video. Great yachts, thank you. Ya done good. LOL AS always. Some beauties there. I look forward to seeing more.
Always enjoy @Esysman. Thank you so much for sharing.
@Emman's Vlog FR has a nice video of Octopus docking in Monaco!
Very exciting time to be in Monaco and loved the sound track !
Nice trip for you to get the combination of yachts and cars 👍Nice for us to get some behind the scene videos 👍
Another great episode thank you 🙏
Enjoy the race
Thanks!
Thank you kindly. You should check out our Patreon Page patreon.com/esysman that way you can watch extra videos!

Loved the whole combination and mix in last few videos.
Good stuff. Thanks from BC, Canada ✌🏼
Looove U inMC..!!!...it’s one of my fave places as well so that conjure up good times thx for explaining about F1 .. ...more pls ...!!!!...

Twelve Fantastic Minutes of The Monaco Experience! You sure know how to pull it off! Thanks again!!

Excellent
Our favorite M/Y is back in Monaco..M/Y AHPO is showing arriving in Monaco TODAY
As usual........fantastic.thanks a lot !!!
Thanks for reporting , ‘smaller’ yachts are just as interesting as the biggest/most costly etc.
When I heard you say that your favorite yacht was in Monaco, I knew it was M/Y Octopus. (:
I am a car nut, Porsches and Ferraris so seeing the LaFerrari is great (my dream car) would love to be in Monaco right now!
I share your love of Octopus. Thank you for another great video.
Great video. Always enjoy catching up. Octopus is my favorite as well. Cheers!

My wife and I have been enjoying your videos for sometime now
Thank you
Monaco is simply fabulous. Fun video.
you are a nice & genuine person, truly enjoy your channel! thank you - octopus yes i agree is a beautiful one however my choice is 'le grand bleu' :))
Fun video. Keep it up.
Love this video, its like old school esysman 😊
Your passions are obvious and entertaining ... Stay Safe & Keep Reporting!!
Good and nice video. 👍
Great to watch.
I'm so envious. I was there last year for the F1, and I plan on going next year. Have fun! Love your videos. Keep up the good work.
My favorite race day of the year! Monaco, followed by Indianapolis 500, and NASCAR caps it off with a 600 mile race! I have been a subscriber for a couple years! Love all your video's! Enjoy the weekend my friend!
I always enjoy your videos. You are so knowledgeable and informed. To me your videos are the right length, I'd even prefer they were longer.
Great video, You keep them short and interesting. Thank you.
Very much fun! Thx!
Thanks man.
FYI, Ted Kravitz just mentioned on the F1 Practice coverage on Sky F1, that Force Blue is Flavio’s boat
Do a video on the cars you find special.
Great show

Great video. You can feel the atmosphere. Moka is normally in Port Adriano in Mallorca
Superb content!
Great video eSysman… it’s so cool to see this side of Monaco particularly getting ready for the F1… 🙏🙏🙌🙌 thank you for sharing this with us. 😊
Octopus is my favorite yacht and the one that led me into "internet" yacht spotting.
Have a look at motor yacht NERO
That's real class
I always enjoy your walk around port videos. And Monaco more.
Great video again, long time since I was in Monaco, back in 1993 driving an AC Cobra through the Monaco streets

I love the videos of Monoco and the F1 circus , keep them coming 👍
yes MOKA SEEMS TO HAVE nice finshing
The whole F1 scene at Monaco is a great fan fare, with all the history of who's raced there is brilliant.

A circuit I like is the one that electric cars use in London from indoors to out doors. Very good layout.

Me too. Twice in the 90's for GP and many times earlier. Dropped the tender keys in the harbour - they are still there.

Thanks for the peak at the F1 set up. Great boats.
Great video, I’ll be in Monaco in August. I hope to be there for the next F1 season, that would be a great treat ❤.
Will we ever see M/Y Amadea again :( One of the most beautiful superyachts I've ever seen
It is but Google....motor yacht NERO
Now that's beautiful
Gréât combo!
