“If you are super hungry, you can use bigger bowl.” - Rie McClenny, 2021.
That, children, is called foreshadowing.
AAAH I MISSED YOU RIE!
Hello!!
Hi Vee!
Rie is so EVERYTHING! Talented attractive personable . Praise for days. So much talent and personality.
Where is Food Network to make her a world wide phenomenon?
Her own show on prime time?
RIE: *“Kinda looks like a passenger in a vehicle”*🚗
Me: *WHY IS SHE SO ADORABLE*😭😭😭
In Rie’s world, Knives and Peas go to the Spa. We love that!
I’ve been making this sort of dish since I was in middle school. To hear that you have also had that same experience is so interesting. I love that no matter where a person is in the world food is always that common factor that brings us together! 😁
I randomly thought of you and wondered what you were doing nowadays as things have changed so much.. i had a kid 2018 and havent had time to watch youtube much with work and all, but as I said before you randomly came to my mind when i was cooking today only i am sooo happy you did because it led me here! such a long explanation but i look up to you so much and its great to see you have your own youtube channel and are still pursuing your passion and sharing these recipies with us! this dish looked amazingly yummy as well as quick and simple! I'm so excited to try your other recipes too! Going to binge watch other videos to pick my faves to try this weekend lol ♡ x (you are so welcome ♡ you deserve so much recognition.. yr brilliant!! )
I love how Rie is a supportive friend for Kiano and Jikoni 🥰
I made this for my husband and it became one of his favorite dishes! I didn't have peas so I used some spinach instead.
I really wanna try one of your dishes someday 😭
Me too 😓

When all hope for cooking inspiration was gone, Rie came back and saved the day 🥳❤
Soborodon is fantastic, it's one of my weekly go-to meals.
I usually just do it with ground pork with a 1:1:1:1 ratio of soy sauce/mirin/sake/sugar with plenty of oroshi ginger and garlic and lay either some komatsuna/baby bok choy/other green veg on top.
I normally don't buy eggs or eat them really, but I'd be interested in trying it out.
Definitely making this! I didn’t know about this dish before, and it seems easy to cook. Thanks Rie~ ❤️ I hope you make more of these videos, love Japanese homecooked food :)
I just used your cookbook today to make soboro don as my first recipe, and it was so amazing!!! I cant wait to cook all the other delicious things youve packed into this book 😋
I really miss seeing you cook! I MISS YOUUU!!!! ❤❤❤
Brilliant. Just brilliant. You never fail to make my day Rie, love all your videos!!💙☺️✨
as a once broke uni student in Japan i can confirm this is a cheap dish
I used to make this with all the toppings replaced with salt only
Yay! More videos like this! Makes not so great cooks like myself feel like we can make something delicious!
I didn't see that you posted a video and when it popped up I was so READY to learn 😍 Thank you Rie
The day I’m late to the video is when Rie is on a liking spree. I’m here for all your videos. Stay Kawaii and brilliant! ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this....I have to say you have been an inspiration...on me getting to know Japanese food...and your recipes Ive made in the past were exellant!...
I love your videos. Thanks so much for sharing some of your favorite Japanese foods with us. I’m American and I love to try new foods from everywhere. Food really is love and makes you feel as though you are home when you are away. I so appreciate your sentiments in this way as well but I also just love to tantalize my taste buds and see the joy on people’s faces who try some of the new things as I learn to cook them. It just makes me happy. Thank you!
Ahh this is one of my favourite dishes to eat (in fact I just had it for dinner so it's so weird this video came up on my dash). The sweetness of the sugared eggs, the saltiness of the chicken and the veggie taste together is always so good. Ingen (green beans) is what I usually have with it. That's the way the school I work at always served it and I love the way green beans taste in general, but I'd like to try snow peas some time now too.
RIE VIDEOS MAKE ME SO HAPPYY 💕
I Will definitely try to make it … thank you sharing
Today I learned sugar snap peas and snow peas are different vegetables..........I'm in highschool, I should know this already 😅😂
I've never had with snow peas before, I make with either wakame, nori or spinach but I'll try with snow peas for sure. I think the snow peas are regional, I lived in Kitakyushu and it is a very popular ekiben.
Rie this recipe was awesome!!! 🤗
YAY Rie's Back we missed you
I like japanese food rie is best chef of japan
Oh I saw this dish in convenience store. I always wanted to make this. Thank you Rie!
this is so sweet! also ritual vitamins are the best!
Made this tonight. Doubled the recipe, because I wanted leftovers. Delicious, 10/10 recommend.
jikoni is super underrated tbh, both of y'all together is perf
I love likening the snow pea blanche to a relaxing spa 🤣🤣
Does sweet eggs taste good? That’s a first for me. I put salt, no sugar in my eggs.
Looking at you cooking always heartwarming for mee, Rie 😍😍
‘Soboro’ in Japanese roughly translates to ‘Keema’ (Minced Meat) in Hindi and Bengali.
I wondered about that while she was cooking the chicken. Lately I’ve been making keema matar as a comfort food thing. I can’t imagine my efforts would pass muster with an Indian mum but they please me. ☺️
Soboro Don is my favorite too! I cook it once a week. Thank you for sharing your recipe 😊
Now I have to make this!! Thank u!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe it's really so delicious so tasty. Weldone 👍 Keep it up 👍 You are a very talented very special God's given brilliant lady May God bless you with all the bestst n finest things in life, Stay Blessed 💚

YUMMMMM YESSSSSSSSS PLEASE LOOKS SOOOOOOOO DELISH RIE
Rie with the effortless 4 chopstick flex lmao
What could i replace mirin and sake with?
Don is a full meal expressed in one bowl. --Shokugeki no Soma.
First time watching....you are so adorable!!! Will watch more!!!
Feels like this be made as a prep meal as well! Will the peas be less chewy when microwaved?
In Brasil we also have a tipe of "Soboro" and its made of the leftovers we have on the fridge. Its a joke with the word "sobras" that in portuguese means leftover
I loved the video Rie😍

If you rearrange the layers, it’ll look like The Yellow Brick Road from ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
If you tell a person to laugh or to smile in Spanish you tell them: RÍE!
I'm not kidding, look it up!
HELLO RIE!!!!!!
Rie I have a video idea! Can you try and play cooking simulator VR please?
Cheap yet fancy
可愛いすぎる
What pans did japanese use before non stick pan? 🤔
I love Rie but i have never seen anyone crack an egg off another egg lol. what have i been doing wrong lol!
Rie.. you should totally go to a JDM car meet and start cooking on the side, like next to a GTR or Supra to draw attention. Not only you’d make hella money, but I bet everyone will love what you made. WIN WIN. God bless Japan!
PS- I’m not Japanese, just a fan of Rie. And JDMs 🙄
hi rie! 🥳
All day Rie
hi
Four chopsticks?! *mind blown*
If i cant eat mirin or sake... What should i substitute it with? Tq
For a non-alcoholic option, you can try using a light broth or even water.
Go to the market come home Rie has a video out and I realize I have nothing
