How are you able to get together to make that recipe? I saw something that Alvin did and he made it out of his own home because he couldn't go out. Aren't things somewhat worse for you in California or wherever you are? Obviously wishing you both the best, just confused. If/when you read this, hope you're having good day.
@@Triplestryke1 okay didn't think of that yeah I've uploaded a couple of videos a long time ago and they took a while to upload which takes time by itself so when it comes to adding the editing time you're right it would take longer.

I give Alix credit for trying this challenge. Japanese is a tough language to learn. At least for me. I took it for two years in college and was an exchange student for a semester in Tokyo.

rie here reminds me so much of my japanese teacher: talking only in japanese with English encouragement and getting VERY happy when we we get something new correct haha
I really like this little 'series' because I've been trying to learn Japanese for only a week and it's exciting when I understand some of the words Rie is saying (plus I get to learn some from my favorite people in Tasty!)
Her saying it was mentally exhausting was very relatable. Lol As a high school student I started abroad in Japan for a year and stayed with almost zero Japanese ability. It was VERY mentally exhausting and by the end of the day I was always so tired. But now I understood everything Rie was saying so I guess it payed off!
Here's what I love about these two: Rie is like a soft, mellow marshmallow and then here comes Alix with her zesty, bright personality and they work so well together. I love them. Also, wishing Rie a safe and healthy delivery.
Thank you this makes my day now I know more words in japanese. My roommate is half japanese and i want to learn more but now that i'm in quarantine Rie and Alix made it better for me!

So, in Iraq we have been in quarantine for more than a month, and I tried to cook Japanese food to pass the time and Rie's recipes were very useful and delicious and I enjoyed preparing them. THANK YOU ❤
Very interesting. I feel like it's because Alix and Rie have such rapport that Alix can infer certain things from Rie's tone and body language. Makes you think, a LOT of our communication is non verbal :)
So, I'm only good at languages in context? like, my brain doesn't like learning languages (even though I want to), but with enough context I can usually parse what's going on. So videos like this make me so happy. They're so happy, and excited when they have a mutual understanding and it's just fucking wholesome okay?
