    I would never solely rely on pepper spray for home defense but something like this might be great for in a car or a place of work. It has little of the legal ramifications of a gun so it doesn't need to be secured 24/7. It can also come in handy in more likely situations that don't rise to the need of deadly force. For example if you find yourself in a riot. It could buy you time to drive away or keep people from storming your business. And if it fails they probably won't kill you over it.

      If you're in a hairy enough situation to use this at all, the odds of them killing you will only go up by using any type of weapon. Time to drive away makes no sense, if you are in a vehicle either you can just drive away without running over anyone, or you can't. There is usually no buying time factor for that, rather you don't want to buy time, not wait at all while the mob approaches. If they are storming your business it is already too late and you don't want to do anything to agitate them rather than finding a safe retreat asap.
      This is more for a one on one encounter.

      You shoot someone in the eyes with that thing and it's gonna do serious damage, they won't know what hit them. If you expect them to come charging at you, they're in for a rude awakening.

    When you replace the cap after loading a CO2 cartridge you'll also need to push it in on the second twist in. The first twist is easy then push the cap in and twist clockwise. If you just twist it twice the cap will fall off because it not seated. Push it in twist and you'll feel it is firmly seated. I know I was repetitive in my comment but this is an important point IMO.

    Would you recommend painting or dying this black?

    • @promontorium
      @promontorium 2 года назад +4

      I would recommend not. If you have an actual threat then performance is more important than deterrence. Simultaneously, the fact that it's orange might save your life or spare you some grief with police or others who aren't a threat if you're seen with it.

      Right! Hell for that price you can get many great home defense options that are better than a product where they clearly have to explain how to fix the gun in case it doesn't work when you load it. 🤣🤣
