What could be a problem is, the kids' perspective. You have to tell them no matter what, because if they find it from different sources it could affect them greatly but negatively. Yeah, you can wait until they grow up and mature enough to tell them, but you have no control of how they will respond it.
Finally... a court case that actually ends with proper justice.

I am so glad that more and more people are telling their stories. I was tired of feeling alone. I don't understand why people feel the need to do this kind of stuff. Why do you find pleasure in hurting other people. Not just men but women to. This needs to end now to many people are being effected by this not just mentally and emotionally but also physically. People will feel ashamed of their bodies and won't want to be around anyone. We will start to fall into deep depression and feel like it is our fault and its not right. But the worst thing is... Is when you tell someone and they either blame it on you, don't believe you, think it's just a joke, tell you to get over it, or even worse disown you. Some people will call you the worst names ever just to make you feel worthless and sometimes it gets to us and some people decide to end their lives because of it. You need to stay strong and let them know that it doesn't effect you. They can call you all the mean names they want... sure it's gonna hurt... They can think it's your fault but in your heart you know what actually happened and that's all that matters. Don't ever let them see you cry cause then they will know how to get under your skin. If they do that walk away calmly and don't say anything back. Be the bigger person.
31 years ago I was in the exactly same situation. It was just one time got together after we broke up. He and Gus family want nothing to do with me. They even call me a slut. My family wanted me to choose my baby or the family. I chose my son and my family throw me out the next day. No notice . I was then 8 months pregnant. I had no where to go and no one to help me. I lost everything. I had no children support. I raised him all myself. Till this day, I never gotten married. Long story short. My son is talking to his dad after many many years. I want him to have a family. I don’t want him to be alone like me. So Girls, treat yourself better. Don’t let any men treat you and your child less. You are worth much more. My son turned out to be a good human being, spoiled but a good man.
Whatever mistakes were made, I’m proud of you girl. Choosing to be a good mother is the most badass decision anyone could ever make.
