Really awesome video! I just broke into tech sales(SaaS) and I live in Fort Lauderdale myself. I'll be working remotely of course and I am super excited to start my journey as an SDR! Your videos have and will continue to be helpful!
Great video Matt I moved from Philly back to Atl but I wish I had met you when I was there, love your video and how you set the tone for the day. I am taking a few pages out of your book for my business, cleaning up my lead pipeline tonight burning the midnight oil. 89 more days left in 2023 I am going to slaaaaay. Keep winning.💞💞💞
Hey Matt! Nice video man! First one I just watched of yours and it was awesome! Great content! No BS honestly. You kept it 💯 explaining your pre call prep, funnel diversification and some prospecting approaches! I loved it man! It was raw and I feel like we are liked minded in tech sales. Subscribed and LI connect request sent!
Can't see myself moving back to Philly man but whenever I come back to visit Family I love to connect with you and buy you a beer or lunch as a small thank you for all the value I've learned from this channel. I used your linked in voice message template when prospecting for a SDR job and received great feedback on it.
@MattMacnamara Denver, but we are selling our place and moving down to Texas this month. My wife can't do the winters anymore. I recently sent you a linked in connection, Terrence Burwell.
I have applied for a sdr role in a big company. I have 3 very short questions; 1If I am hired, does the company provide the prospect lists or do I scrape them? 2-Do we prepare cold email and cold call templates ourselves? 3-Do they explain the job (what I will do) at the beginning with a small training?
A college degree will help to land your first role. After that, it’s not important. An MBA won’t help reach the highest level of an Account Executive. That would only be needed if you want to get into leadership.
Love the videos Matt! Also, don't forget to censor out private information (e.g. client/prospect names, company names, chat logs, etc.)! Just trying to look out for you brother, wouldn't want your employer to get mad at you for revealing company information.
Hoping someone can please help me... I am just getting started out as a BDR - I know this is what I want to do, I can honestly see myself doing this for a long time to eventually make to an AE. The thing is I find it hard to make myself call my leads, getting kinda scared and nervous. Can anyone please help me? Would be nice if Matt could reach out at lease by a msg reply.
What's scarier? a.) getting rejected and hung-up on during your cold calls b.) not doing the calls and feeling the regret of not trying If option A is scarier than option B, you should find a new career. I take it it's option B. EVERYONE is scared to cold call...it gets easier over time...just focus on making the dials daily...the rest will fall into place
This is completely off topic but are you from Philly? My dad's side is from Philly and I'm from Pittsburgh and I never heard an accent like yours haha. Your accent made my ADHD pay attention more than any AE video so far. 🤣😅

@@MattMacnamara did you have other non-sales technology knowledge you needed before this role?

those are all questions for the company, I can't answer them as it differs company to company. thanks for watching!
If you wanted to go fro Zero to the Highest level Account Executive would a College degree or MBA help you reach the top level faster?
