I'm doing that right now. Dang Never knew how good PsP was compared to some of the older Nintendo consoles. Sony had some better content.
PSP might be my favorite handheld EVER. With the GBA a close second..
Same, I have a 3000 with custom firmware, so that means I can emulate the GBA at 60 frames per second
psp is probably my favorite too, with the ds a close 2nd and the gba a close 3rd.
I can't wait for another video. These games look great (especialy the Ys game). Can't wait for your next video :) I hope it will be soon, because I need to see MORE :D

+MetalJesusRocks i think you have convince me to get PSP. im not much of a collector but i do enjoy a good game.. also, space. im sorta picky about my space and hate clutter. ( my hobby work bench is a complete mess, but i would not be able to find a tool or a part if it was spotless, so ill plead im a walking contradiction here.. ) anyhow, i like the idea of the little space collecting for this would take up. also if you can play it on the tv too.. i also checked and the games are very fair in price.. lots of fun for your $$,. so reggie you better dig into your stash and pull out some cuties shooters, and 2d fighting games for the PSP. heh.. i did build a full size mame cab.. but im gonna give it to my sister and just build a bartop mame cab, i think im gonna use skulgirls for its theme thanks for that recommendation too.. :P

got mine from ebay, beautiful black psp 2000 scratch less screen with Crisis Core ffvii and ffvii advent children umd movie for 44usd, so yep, im jelous, you got a great deal bro.

That's a crazy good deal. I'm looking all over ebay for a psp and I haven't found one under $60 and that's just for the console.
I pick-uped PSP-3003, 9 movies, 30 games wirhout box for only 40 bucks

Just want to mention that Legend of heroes: Trails in the sky is only the first game of an ever expanding series of video games currently still ongoing with 9 games so far. With the 9th game being released on the PS4. It is probably what i consider one of the most ambitious role playing series ever to grace any console with some of the deepest lore and story telling you will ever find. The scale and magnitude of it can not be overstated and it takes a gamer that is truly committed to be able to play through it all.
I love trails in the sky/ trails of cold steel series. Best Jrpgs ever that rival final fantasty and persona, if not better.
I like albums by all those bands: Ok Computer is a masterpiece... and my favorite PJ album is Vitalogy.

I bought Wild Arms 1 a while back off PSN and enjoyed it greatly for about 10 hours. Never did finish it...so I should give it another go.
I'm really glad to watch these hidden gems videos and find games I played a lot like GNG and Hammerin Harry. Will check out the other games, they seem really interesting

Deadwing is great. My favorite Porcupine Tree albums are : In Absentia, Deadwing, Lightbulb Sun & Stupid Dream. They are the perfect mix of Pink Floyd & heavier metal bands... Love it!
I was reminded of Slipstream 5000 as well. That was a great futuristic racing game back in the old DOS days!

The psp is one of the best consoles ever made -period! So many quality games -especially rpg's on the system. I'm just hoping the vita will have the same library of amazing games given time...

We talked about Reggie narrating this video, but the problem is that is the most time consuming & difficult part. However, all the game play footage is played by him on his PSP.

Hey for anybody playing Ys Oath in Felghana,
Pick up Ys Seven & 1&2 Chronicles if you're enjoying Oath in Felghana. 1&2 Chronicles is an intense Zelda like adventure while Seven is straight up action with an enjoyable plot added in.
You won't regret any of these purchases, considering they are an affordable 20 bucks for a physical copy.
Nice job on these videos Jason :D The PSP does indeed have a lot of gems, I'll have to check out some of the RPGs I missed. That Gradius Collection looks superb too!
One gem on the system that I love is 'Corpse Party', a frankly terrifying Japanese adventure/visual novel game. I was really impressed with how something so lo-fi could be such a strong horror experience. It is download-only, which being a listener of AGG I know you're not a fan of, but it is worth it :D
Very useful indeed - I had forgotten about Hexys Force, didn't know about Mimana at all and hadn't realised Steambot Chronicles had been released in the US.

Reggie (hope i spelled it right) reminds me of a co worker, who was i the marine core for years. he always had stories about his adventures in the military including when it came to gaming.
That first game Hexys Force, each story (2 of em) takes about 20 to 25 hours EACH! OMFG that's super duper long. Multiple endings give you even more replay value and its new game+ mode gives you well over 200 hours of gameplay!! DANGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!

I pretty much stayed on top of a lot of the rpg's that got released for the psp, but unfortunately a few did slip by, I think I got a lot of rarer titles taken care of, but your probably right that now is probably the best time to go grab them.

Ragnarok tactics is a great hidden gem and probably the last in physical form... late games on a system are always a win for people who collect games

I was more of a DS guy when that and the PSP were relevant but I find myself wanting to get more PSP games now that I'm into collecting.

I'm sad because for a few years I had the power adapter for my PSP but I couldn't find the PSP. Then I bought 3 sealed games but I couldn't play them. Then I FOUND my PSP but I couldn't find my power adapter! AAAARRRRGGGHHH. I still cant find it.... but I am supposed to be cleaning my whole house in the next few days so maybe I will see it.
@@puyokiba i think I eventually found my psp but the battery inside went bad and inflated and you couldn't fit the battery cover on it. Then I went a year or 2 without being able to charge it before ordering a new battery online. Then I put the new battery in, charged it, played games for about 10 minutes and never played it again. Right now I'm not 100% sure where the psp OR the charger is
@@xINVISIGOTHx Well at least you can buy a new charger on amazon or ebay. Your psp is probably lost in your closet or storage lol.
the nearest gamestop from my house is about a 4 hour drive (maybe 3 if I speed the whole way) but... I have no car and no money right now. I know the plug is in my house SOMEWHERE :/
Yeah. Me and a friend (funnily enough he was called Jesus as well hehe) used to play head-to-head with a serial cable. Aaah now I'm all nostalgic.

Really liked this episode! Too bad that "White Knight Chronicles: Origins" isn't it, but it may be in the next. Do note, though, that that game was not released in North America. Only in Japan and Europe.
The PSP is easily one of my favorite handhelds, and I am still buying games for it today! Most recent was Ragnarok Tactics, and perhaps tomorrow, I'll be getting Gungnir and Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time...

Always love watching your Stuff Jason and on AGG, You have really got me wanting a psp so dam bad, My step son has one and I have bough games for him but I really think I need to ge one and get a selection of games that I know I will adore ! I didnt know that there was this much quality hidden away :-)
My all time favourite PSP game is Persona 3 Portable. If you have a psp and somewhat interested in rpg games with a great story and unique gameplay, this should be in your collection.

I feel the need to mention Z.H.P. (Zettai Hero Project) Unlosing Ranger vs Darkdeath Evilman here. I know Nippon Ichi Software aren't really "hidden" anymore, but their games can still sometimes fall through the cracks.

Trails in the Sky is an awesome series!! I've played all three chapters (not the one with the Garghav Trilogy) and the storyline is just SO AWESOME~!!
Fate/Extra is one of the most beautiful games on the console.

I forgot how nerdy MJR looks like without a goatee.
The PSP 3000 because it has the slightly better screen, video out and twice as much ram than the original 1000, which helps games load faster.
They also had a promotion a couple weeks ago where they game it for free! I downloaded it to my vita and i am enjoying it quite a bit!
I just love these videos because you find some of the best gems for each system you do. Can you do a hidden gems on the 3DS or the Wii?
