"How's it goin?"
"Yaaah"
I've been visiting this video for years just to watch the only video in which Reggie is stoned af
Reggie's collection is pretty damn impressive... He's got a lot of great games, not only for the PS1, but also the PS2...PSP...and more.
man, we changed a lot in these last 9 years
Damn bro Reggie is hella stoned
Reggie seems strangely placid/relaxed here. Maybe that leaf on Marios hat on his t-shirt is telling us something!
You're a low IQ turd. Reggie is obviously nervous as hell.
Pretty sure I got banned because I asked Reggie if he still had “that Mario shirt” on a live stream he did
@@ivanvargas2425 lol nothing wrong with being a stoner
@@Sendit77 agreed but not sure why he banned me lol
@@ivanvargas2425 might not be in a legal state
Hey uhhhhhh Reggie...
Ya look a little uhhhhhh spaced out there buddy...
:D
dutchweeks1 so high
dutchweeks1 lol the Mario shirt seemed fitting lol
dutchweeks1 the best
Travis Bates the
Dutch week's worth the
Thanks! That's a song we wrote years ago called "4 Cents Short"... It's an instrumental demo that we intended on putting lyrics...but it never happens. Instead, it lives on with my videos!
No wonder Reggie is so quiet, hes baked...
David Klapproth hahahaha so true
David Klapproth extremely racist
Matt Mattius I know it's been 4 years, but your comment was idiotic then and it's idiotic now. Sooooo stupid..
Levonte King did you not see Reggie’s shirt? lol
LOL
I knew it Reggie is Stoner I fucking Love this Guy
"How's it going ?" "Hiyaaaaaah"
Made me laugh so much.
So good watching these from 7 years ago eh. Still great videos that hold up to this day - I like how wholesome it feels. YAAAH
I've watched this video a first time and just realized that Mario is stoned on Reggie's shirt. Nice.
A few times....
Big_Mike81 it looks like reggie is too :D
I've watched this video a first time and just realized that Reggie is stoned on Mario's shirt. Nice.
Reggie is blazed
These Hidden Gem and Must Have videos are a huge help. Thank you for making them.
Can't get enough of these videos. These will definitely entertain my retro gaming needs while I wait on a new GameChasers episode to come out.
The acting on Resident Evil made me LOL so hard but yes, it was hilarious. Same with the cinematic scenes with "real" actors on BOTH Command and Conquors
gosh man, I have been pouring over lists of hidden gems / obscure / weird PS1 games. I don't know why I waited so long to check out the dude, Metal Jesus! Your guys' list is stellar! I cannot believe I forgot about or have never heard of these games. Thank you so much for making these videos!
I'm addicted to your channel and I have no interest in buying any of this stuff. You just have a cool personality.
WE DEMMAND PART 3!!!!
I want to thank you MetalJesus for your excellent recommendations and video's on your channel. For years i have been mostly exclusively a Rpg gamer and i have collected mostly role playing games, but you have opened my eyes to a wide spectrum of other great titles out there and have inspired me to really start collecting games of all different types and genre's. Thank you very much!
Thank you Jesus. Buster Bros is a game that I have been trying to find the title of for the last decade or so but to no avail. All of a sudden, it pops up on the screen and now I'm happy as can be. I definitely need to go find myself a copy now. :D
that shirt reggie!! helll yeeee
Got the same from my last vacation in amsterdam, wonder if thats where he got his too.
I wonder, why he looks tired?
That shirt is badass!
Anyone remember Legacy of Kain?
Thomas Halderman ye got them all blood omen was the first one
1 of he best storylines in gaming, shame it was never concluded after Defiance.
ninjanizzle yeh characters n storylines was top notch
The heart of Darkness
Got Blood Omen 2 running perfect on Dolphin Emu. Man, the nostalgia of playing it as a kid.
I watched your first PSone hidden gems video, and kind of wasn't really interested in any of the titles you mentioned.
However, seeing a part 2 to the series co-hosted with Reggie, I know for a fact I will find some titles I definitely will need to check out.
Keep up the awesome work "Metal J" , and here is hoping you have a shit ton [metric bro] more videos with my man Reggie co-hosting! I seriously love Reggie's opinions, and recommendations. He is definitely my style of gamer, and I wish he had a bigger following/youtube channel. All he needs now is a great editor and some spare time, since he is such great personality, but seeing him in a video with you is ALWAYS a real treat!
Hi from UK. Love your vids MetalJesus, you talk for such enthusiasm, and the recommendations you have given me over the years of your videos far exceed my own taste, so many thanks. Stay Well! :)
I enjoy watching Reggie and he seems to have a lot of cool games as well. Thanks for bringing him on. Does he have his own channel?
I know who you are.
Love your content MJR! Man I wish I could hang out with you and show you my collection and play hidden gems lol
Great video. There's so many great games on the PS1. I just keep finding out about more and more. I just recently bought Klonoa: Door To Phantomile. I hope you make more hidden gems videos for the PS1 and PS2.
I'm loving these vids. The Fear Effect games are some of my favs on PS1, and I was eagerly anticipating the third game, Fear Effect Inferno on PS2, but was crushed when it got cancelled. There were even talks of a Fear Effect movie that never got made. Damn it all.
Maybe it's not a hidden gem, but Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is a fantastic game that I feel doesn't get mentioned too often when people look back on the PS1.
Great game👍
Literally about to play it on ny emulator! Classic
More PS1 hidden gems: Nanotek Warrior, Board Game Top Shop, Demolition Racer, Juggernaut, Vanark, RC De Go, Tobal No 1, Tales of Destiny, Power Shovel, Saiyuki Journey West, Brahma Force, Destrega, Carnage Heart, and Rogue Trip Vacation 2012.
I played Swagman when it first came out and thought it was great. I didn't know anyone else who heard of it or played it back then. I was happy to see it in your hidden gem video!
there's something comforting about watching a metal jesus video. everyone's really positive.
Personal additions: Incredible Crisis, Bust-A-Groove, Tail Concerto, Trap Gunner!, Castlevania Chronicles, Rising Zan, Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn, and Blaster Master: Blasting Again. I dunno if you'll ever do a third one of these, but man, there's dozens more titles...
The PS1 is probably my favorite console, so I love this series. :)
Thank you so much for putting in Wild 9! That is my favorite PS1 game of all time!
I must say, I enjoy your videos quite a bit. They are a nice treat, and I greatly appreciate all the work you put into them. Keep it up. I'm always looking forward to the next one. *thumbs up*
Trying to picture Reggie, lookin like the guy on his T shirt... calling every game store and busting down the door to get his hands on Barbie Sports.....
...WHAT
I miss hearing the sound of the games in their videos. Probably gone bc of YT copyright BS
I love how genuine you are metal Jesus🤙🙂
6:41 Strider 2 is such a good game and incredibly stylish too, very short but so much fun to replay once in a while
When's Reggie gonna let us take a tour of his collection?! It sounds like he has a nice selection i would love to check it out!!
the medievil series, i think needs WAY more attention.
I give you a lot of respect for making this videos. they bring me back to the kid old days.
Actually love these videos! Made me nostalgic seeing some games i had coming up on the list. Also like your presentation style, really friendly and cool.
Syphon filter!!!!
Alundra... By far the best game on the ps1 for me. I don't seriously know how much of a hidden gem it is but no one seams to talk about it and I find that incredibly weird. It is simply a beautifull game, from the craphics, to the music. Everything is in place with the game and one of my friend summed it up with this sentance.
- It's a Zelda copy better then any Zelda game ever made.
And he is a big Zelda fan. Seriously look it up.
Alundra is amazing. And merciless. And I love that.
Really if any game inspired it I would have to say it was without a doubt Landstalker on the Genesis. Alundra was definitely the better of the 2 but they were both great games for their respective times.
nice reggie! when i first saw RE2 i played it for 8 hours strait! as soon as i get back to my house i pawned my N64 with like 5 games and 3 controller for a PS1 1 controller and re2.... loved mario 64 and diddy kong racing but RE2 man that was a experience ill never forget
Another great video, Happy New Year MJR!
The first Reggie ep.
VAGRANT STORY!!
Very interesting games, I really like the look of Raycrisis, Elemental Gearbolt and those Fear Effect games. To see a game with a cel-shaded 3D game that good,so early into the 3D game era is amazing
The bonus levels on Pong were insane. Point Blank was endless fun for me. Thanks for all the gems!
Reggie looks about as stoned as that shirt hes wearing
anything from working designs is great.
Spit Dragon And Enix! I liked Squaresoft and Enix so much more when they were two distinct companies; we got completely different games from each!
Sol Divide is one of my favorite PS1 games. Gotta love that Hack N' Slash SHMUP action.
You guys are awesome, I'm glad I stumbled upon this!
Legend of legaia is my favorite ps1 game.
airsniper8505 great game i played as a kid
What about Hogs of war?
Woo! Front Mission 3! My brother gave me that game a few months back. I haven't had a chance to play it in-depth yet, but from what little I have played, it is REALLY fun.
I had all three of the Colony War games. They are superb. I also forgot about the Bruce Willis game until you showed it on the previous video. Again, awesome. I have to get my PS2 from my parents and set it up. Thank God for backwards compatibility. Also. I played Point Blank for ever:)
You'd never think.. But one of the BEST and truly hidden gems on the PS1 is
THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE.
I know what you're thinking, but hear me out.
Not only does it have movie clips straight from the original Disney movie and all original voice actors, it's an AMAZING 3D platformer that has years of replay value. I've gone through this game at least 10 times over the years.
surprisingly you get to play as Kuzco in Llama form as well as turtle and bunny forms for humorous levels that very in style.
This game will NOT get bland as they switch up scenery, game play styles, and objectives eveey level throughout Kusco's entire venture back to the palace! This game really left nothing out! I urge everyone that likes an amazing platformer to pick it up! Best $5 you'll ever spend
Welp, I never would have thought to pick that game up, but now I'm going to go find it and see for myself.
Gummi Bear It really is entertaining and pretty tough
Hell yea. Emperors New Groove was great!
Reggie's fuckin shirt
Reggie has indeed an awesome collection. Congrats, man!
The barbie game in the end was funny. Hahahah...
I'm so glad that Colony Wars was on your list. I just recently bought all 3 for under $10 total and play them on my ps3, they totally still hold up! I actually like the 3rd entry the best, wish they would make a new one.
fear effect 3 was made and cancelled for ps2. its a shame.
I remember seeing a HUGE banner for the game at E3 that year and I was completely STOKED! Sadly... it never materialized.
i loved those as a kid. just awesome. theyre very rich.
Hey mjr, I'm starting a channel w my friend. Any tips?
i like the baked mario
Serj Star he's hella baked as well
Serj Star me too!
What a great collection, and what a great video, i really like how you improve in your videos lately, congrats Metal Jesus, yours is one of my favorite channels :)
If you ever do a part 3, you've got to include bugs bunny lost in time and it's sequel bugs bunny and taz time buster. These are two really underappreciated games, especially the sequel.
reggie looked baked af on this one xD
Highdroxy Qc haha he's so baked like me
Swagman......lol
Hey MetalJesusRocks, great video as always. I've never heard of any of these. Does Reggie have a youtube channel?
One thing that I really loved about Colony Wars was that it had a branching storyline. Depending one how many missions you completed in a chapter, the course of the war would sway either in favor of the League or the Empire, and the missions for the next chapter would change accordingly, which would also split along one of two paths-ultimately terminating in one of many different endings. Pretty remarkable I think! Not even many rpgs can boast of that level of branching storyline!
Anyone remember Hogs of War?
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
HoW was an awesome game!!!
One of my favorite PS1 games easily.
reggie looks so stoned 😂
Great video. As with all of your videos i like your style, very positive and upbeat about games. Some people just like to spend their time trashing games instead of looking for good games to spread the word about.
I was just surprised to see the Lunar games as honorable mentions since they are very popular and I wouldn't consider them hidden gems.
Thank you for yet another great list guys. Love you!
Much appreciated. :)
Kinda disappointed to see that Tomba! (or Tombi! to my PAL region brethren) didn't get a mention. Criminally underrated Metroidvania-style platformer with a very twisted sense of humor made by legendary Japanese producer Tokuro Fujiwara.
siliodon Probably because it's not a hidden gem
***** what do you mean, is it not hidden or is it not gem? Both is wrong. It's unknown to most of gamers. And about "gem"... Tomba 1, 2 are some of the best games I ever played.
Also need to include Kula world (Roll away) and Vib ribbon.
I mean exactly what I said. It's not a hidden gem.
Just because a game is good doesn't make it a hidden gem that suddenly only you know about.
Hidden gems are good games that get overlooked by similar titles, or games that were advertised better.
***** Clear. We just have different understandings about "hidden gem".
It's your right.
For me it's underrated game, about which not much people know about, but that should be known to all, cause sometimes they are better than most famous titles. And about Tomba very few people know, you obviously have not played in it, otherwise it would be a different opinion.
By the way, Tomba completely coincides with your last sentence. So, you admit it so. Thanks.
+ayoutubeuser i almost never see tombi mentioned but i see klonoa mentioned on every hidden gem video, not that the majority of gamers really know either its only people like us who know of them because we play old games and watch these videos
You forgot jackie chan stuntmaster game Totally hidden gem, very funny . if you have not played I recommend 100%
+Here comes a new challenger! Doesn't it have Jackie Chan as the main voice actor? Because it sounds exactly like him and it is great. It's your typical Jackie Chan movie plot and you gotta save uncle!
yep dude, the voice is from the amazing Jackie Chan!! anda the movements too
I love watching older videos of these wonderful retro youtubers also great outro who knew that last game was a hidden gem you tried to pull it back but it was to late and I love it. Cool video. ^_^
I have a honorable mention for a hidden gem on PS1, a very unique fighting game called Destrega. Its a one of a kind fighting game where you fight your oppenents in a fully 3D environment either punching and kicking or shooting projectiles at your oppenent, so much fun.
Hey Reggie where did you get that shirt need one those mann
try Toy Story 2 , it's a excellent game
I have it for the N64. It was one of my favorite games when I was a kid.
i hope you keep making videos way into when i turn 82 in 50 years. just love it.
MetalJesus your videos are delightful!
Reggie is so high :D
Swagman is the game that has escaped my knowledge since I last played it over a decade ago, finally found it out from a thread I found, so happy I'll finally get to finish it
Have to congratulate you for having Colony Wars in there. It's really the only game that up to that point reminded me of the Wing Commander series. I always played it with the PlayStation Analog Joystick (SCPH-1110) which for anyone who doesn't know was that twin stick controller Sony released before they released the Dual Analog Controller (SCPH-1180) and the Dual Shock.
so much nostalgia!!!
i randomly found your channel when searching random ps1 reviews. cool youre from seattle as well \m/
awesome video as always!!! Wondering if you have plans for a Dreamcast edition of hidden gems? Rock on, MetalJesus, and thanks for the video!!!
2 modest recomendations :)
Tomba (the 1st one) was amazing.
Also Soul Of The Samurai was great, it scared the shit out of me when I was a kido, it's a survival horror without anything "supernatural", but still has the scary atmosphere.
Thanks for reminding me back about Elemental Gearbolt!! Been finding this game to play on my computer!!
I really like hidden gems series from you. I discovered from this movie Blood Will Tell on PS2. Thanks man!
Great reviews Mr Metal Jesus. Makes me love games even more. Cheers from Portugal! :)
i remember playing the wild 9 demo on one of those old demo discs back in the day. that was a flood of nostalgia. thanks metal jesus.
Great video as ever sir. Have you ever heard of Hellnight for the PS1? It was kind of a precursor to games like Amnesia and Penumbra, it's a first person adventue game and throughout it you're being chased by a monster with no means of survival other than running and hiding and the monster is constantly evolving and becoming faster. I don't think it came out in the US sadly but if you can track it down it's well worth it, it's my favourite PS1 game and a total hidden gem.
I remember Pong: The Next Level when i was a kid!!! Great clean fun that was really addictive. Highly recommend for some competition among friends.
Hello there. Love that you mentioned Pong: the Next Level. Super enjoyed 100%ing that game as a kid and recently as well. Question: how did you capture the footage for each game? Using a classic PS1 or on a PS2? Thanks and keep killing it \m/
I really miss working designs they brought so many amazing games to the west and had such a passion for them that they weren't content with just releasing a disk they went out of their way to include all kinds of extras. I'll never forget getting Lunar 2, i still have the standups, the ghaleon puppet, and the pendent that came with it.
nice. i commented on your last vid about Pong. Nice to see it here. One of my fave PS1 games
Reggie's shirt is ridiculous lol I love it! And I don't even get baked any more.
