@MissMeow Cat Any upwardly mobile Victorian man could attempt to engage an established lady at whatever level he was trying to achieve. Even a shop girl could be tricked into marrying "beneath herself."
I think the reason we like this time period were the manners, I mean honestly what girl does not like or fall in Love with a guy who is willing to take his time getting to know her, court her, most dates now days end in a one night stand, some Women like that, but there are some who long to be courted by a Gentleman. I know also a lot of people pick out the bad points of the Victorian Era, which I will admit some of it was not so glamorous but that is the joy of living between both worlds, you can have things such as manners, the History, but still have modern things as well, most of us use that more like Currier and Ives version of it, Meet Me in St. Louis version of it, because we can in this modern time and yes we know bad things went on in the Victorian Era, good things did too and that is the joy of living between, because you can take those good points and enjoy them with out the working class being mad at you or looked down on by high society, most pick that middle ground where you are the happy family life, the Husband respects the Wife, the Wife Loves her Husband, they are a little more equal. It is hard to explain if you are not interested in it, you study all of it, even the working class portion of it, but you can live in whatever class you want to, because in today's society class lines are blurred, they are still there, but not as important as they were in the Victorian Era, those lines were set in stone and you just knew not to cross them and if you did there were punishments, but in this world you are able to do what you want, be it just for fun, life, acting. I myself live between both times and Love it very much, I feel the happiest in my Victorian form, that is my true self, but I also have to live in this modern world, so I've found a balance between the two and yes, you do get questions, yes you do get stared at, but if it makes you happy, be it, live it and the right people will support you.

After marriage, they will barely see one another as the husband will be at work, doing deals, trading stocks and in his spare time he'll most likely dine at the club and visit one of the better houses of Victorian Era brothels.
There were standard, proper, appropriate ways to court and the other kind, too. Depending on who it was you were courting and what for. Just like nowadays. Only, back then, all the social rules and courting etiquette were much clearer. Well raised, polished girls knew how to behave inthe company of a suitor and themen knew how they were expected to conduct themselves. So the whole courting gameflowed pretty smoothly. You could then just focuson getting to know the person better, revealing a little about yourself and ascertaining what ypurchances of agood relationship might be with this person. You didn't have to agonise over a whole lotof miscellaneous social style, etquette etc stuff, like now, because it was alreadydecided for you all the social rules people were expected to follow in various social scenarios eg courtship. It made life much simpler, easier having set behaviour, style etc rules to know what is appropriate and what is notwhen courting. Instead of the confusion and stress of dating in this era, when girls agonise over whether tohave sex on the first or second date and what he might do if you do or you don't agree... Or guys agonise over whether to go here or there, whether she likes his car etc etc. All this confusion started in the 60's with the arrival of second wave feminism that gave women more sexual freedom eg to dress more provocatively etc, leaving the guys very confused about how toreact to this newly won sexual freedom of expression girls boldly tried to exhibit, just to "seem cool" and with it, sexy, desirable, though, truth is, most girls were shit scared of what might happen....I can recall many long nights with very tearful teenage females discussing such matters till the wee small hours, wondering "what he might think if Isaid thos, wore that, did that, respondedto his mate saying Hi to me" and so on. It wasall very tribial stuff but the girls still agonised, even cried about it, especially on the numerous occasions whenconfused young men misinterpreted female signals and messages and ended up reacting in unexpected ways that threw the girls' emotions into a tail spin. Though, listening to some of the pop songs of that era, one gets the feeling that the boys suffered anequal amount of emotional pain and confusion about female wavering, insecure, unpredictable behaviour. One such song is One Two Three Red Light. With lyrics like: Every time I try to show I love you, one two red light... You ain't right to stop me... One two three , dedlight, don't stop me...etc etc" Clearly a case of a girl who desires a certain young man, starts to give him the come on and thensuddenly gets scared and pulls away, leaving the poor guy feeling very confused... There were other such songs back then. But inmore recent "girl power" era, this female sexual insecurity gave way to extreme femsle confidence, bordering onsheer brazen vulgarity eg a female song whose only lyric I can recall went "Would it be my fault, if I could turn you on..." (Well, yes, I think it would be, especially if you got pregnant as a result and then got dumped or murdered by some serial killer you managed to use your new found feminist sexual power to turn on...Sorry, sweetie... All your own fault!)

Can confirm. Timestamp leads to a second or two before squirrel crosses the path. It looked quite undernourished - pls send nuts.
This is so wholesome.
This is nice. I hope they’re still together and happy. Good for them.
He: has money and an estate in the countryside. He is also a member of a renowned gentleman's club.
She: looks good enough to bear his children.
After marriage, they will barely see one another as the husband will be at work, doing deals, trading stocks and in his spare time he'll most likely dine at the club and visit one of the better houses of Victorian Era brothels.
Awesome. Love people doing what works for them.
That moment when you realize you’ll never have a Victorian gf.
I got a Rococo dress, crinoline petticoat and bonnet recently, even though I dress like a normal girl. Just try to interact with more girls and eventually you might find one who is Victorian.
Yes, if you look hard enough, you’ll find us. We can hide surprisingly well if we don’t dress full time. I just wish I could find a Victorian boyfriend like him.
I've always admired people who have the guts and character to uphold and honor their ideals and principles, regardless of what 'modern' society thinks. You make a very good impression as a couple, and I very much hope you can make a go of it. Looking forward to more!
What if their ideals and principles are barbaric and psychopathic in nature?
@@baneofbanes I don't admire those kinds of people. These people aren't malevolent, from what we see here.
Charles Fournier Phaneuf lol
I would watch an entire reality series about this couple, no cap
Love this young man!!!! 😍❤️
Good old Victorian values that are missing in today Society.
She is sooooo beautiful id do almost anything to meet a women that dresses and liveslike that..... Im envious
They are far more decent, beautiful, respectful towards each other. In short both are well brought up.
I agree one lives how they want to. I feel he is completely committed to this life style but she us playing and trying to always say the right thing. She is caught up in the act.
My great great grandparents dressed like the 19th century. Great video I enjoyed it can't wait to see more of your videos soon 😀
I can’t believe this is real I FREAKING LOVE THIS AND WISH I COULD DO THIS
Aww, I wish everyone was fancy like this 😊❤️
They're not even fancy by Victorian standards, just average middle class clothes
Congratulations you two!
I can wait to see your future films :) you guys can inspire the world with your art.
how utterly delightful. Best wishes to both parties.
so there is hope...so nice to see that he met someone like-minded :)
They are adorable and soooooooo polite......LOVE IT.....MORE PLEASE..😁
I really wish to meet someone at least half as well mannered as him. But unfortunately, today manners aren't as valued. I still hope that there are people out there, who value such things as much as I do.
The Real Man !!! Two thumbs up...
Honestly, I do not know the couple through social media. But the interview definitely made my day *very* interesting! I hope they continue to date and become married, they are adorable together. 😃 ❤❤
I hope I get to meet a nice and classy young man too! Someday.... 😊
I’m so happy for them! ☺️
I am a 1920's vintage lifestyler a.k.a. Time warper sadly my other half is not and lives in the modern world of the 20- 20s Where as I live in the world of the 1920s but somehow we manage to get along I truly wish the other half was a vintage lifestyler of the 1920s as well Here they are both very fortunate to have found each other..
Would love to know if they are still seeing each other ! They do seem a perfect match. She does sound like she's over trying with the pish accent though 😂
Meant posh 🤦🤦lol
Wish them all the good things in the world ❤️
This video made me very happy!
Premarital eye contact is very inappropriate young man!
Each to their own, but it seems like really, really hard work.
The Black Watch tartan is stunning!
Everyone saying Charlotte's accent is fake... It's really not. Speaking as a Brit myself, that's how upper class people in the UK talk!
I think her normal accent does slip out occasionally, like she doesn't say everything in the correct way for Recieved Pronunciation or queen's English, but I think it's a solid attempt
I love it! Though do they only dress in late Victorian fashions or do they do earlier ones too? Not that I mind, I prefer 1870 onwards!
EXCUSE ME! WHEEEERRREEE IS THEIR CHAPERONE???? This is most indecent!!!
Im so happy to see that everyone’s so respectful il these comments ^^
Hope to see updates on these people because I really like their choice of era 1800s 😌
This makes me smile 😊
Living in a fantasy world. This does look fun.
Once again, it goes to show there is a someone for everyone🎅🤶💝
Good for him!! Good for him..
Suddenly reminded of the importance of being earnest and a particular role performed by David Suchet.😎
so he was going to go to the Prior Attire ball.
I love how he uses Instagram hahaha
There’s someone for everyone ❤️
Ah yes a staple victorian meal of nachos and tea
The fact that her petticoats are showing bothers me so much. But that lovely cape makes up for it!
Agreed.
Petticoats are supposed to show..
Thank you. Same.
