Nerdarchy's Fantastical Mounts - Dungeons and Dragons

Excellent review. Nerdarchy is great and they deserve all the support they can get. Aren't non-Circle of the Moon druids limited to a CR of 1 for their Wildshapes? Unless I'm missing something they aren't going to get much use out of these new beasts.
Ah, somehow I got it into my head the limit was CR 2. You are quite right Cassandra, it is CR 1. Nice catch.
CR 2 is probably what it should be, in my opinion. I'm thinking of doubling the Max CR values on the druid beast shapes table for all druids in my homebrew rules just to make the other Circles, which nobody ever seems to want to take, more viable.
I'd be on board with that, myself. CR 1 is embarassing.
Cricle of the Moon is my jam, actually. My current character is a druid of the moon. Starting at 6th level, their CR limit for their wild shapes becomes their druid level, divided by 3 and rounded down. So, at 12th level, you could be the Appa-esque beast.
I love adding custom beasts for Druids. Its like the Druid version of a Spellbook.
Thanks for the review Alex. Glad you enjoyed it. The guys (Nate and Ted) did a great job with it.

You're welcome Dave! Always happy to help spread some Nerdarchy love.
I just did a review of this product, myself. It is a great release and every creature in it in a load of imagination fuel. Fantastic mounts create fantastic ideas as you figure out who would use them and how.
So, one is a multiple tonnes flying lawn-mower with the destructive power of a Marauder truck while the other is essentially a spring-loaded wall-batterer of death from hell but with a very delicate internal ear.
I love this thing!
Haha, delicate internal ear. You got it right Federico.
Kangaram sounds pretty sweet. I always thought a Kangaroo subclass would be interesting, especially as a monk, hah.
You said it. K-Roo is a very unique creature, totally feels like it should have a fighting style.
Lee Bosch with Xanathar’s having the section about having a specific animal symbol it would be cool to reflavor monk abilities for different animals, for instance the shadow monks teleport could just be a mega jump or something
Nice idea Nitrosis.
I LOVE combo animals in the style of Avatar: The Last Airbender, so much so that I use such creatures in my own fiction writing and homebrew campaign setting. I will definitely need to pick this up when I can!
Picked this up just now! It's succinct, but guys. Guys. What he doesn't mention (and I think he should) is, it's only $3! Seriously! Pick this up! It's worth it.
Kangaram might as well be a Tonton from Star Wars
Its pretty close! They might even have a pouch for Luke already, so they don't need to be sacrificed to keep the main character warm :P
You should do a video on the other ones...
Just my opinion, maybe others won't agree. Especially as we could go read it ourselves.
I didn't want to feature the whole list here, since it is a paid product. Instead I focused on two I liked and felt exemplified the writing quality, so viewers can get better insight before making a purchase!
Thanks.
