Hey legends I hope you enjoy this extended edit of an awesome trip into the 19 mile osmiridium workings! Some of you might of seen the original shorter version of this a while back, when my channel was a lot smaller, but it was such an awesome historic spot I wanted to give the experience more love. Hopefully you guys enjoy this trip and edit, let me know what you think below! Rob.
Hey guys another great trip love watching your vids keep up the great work Think I’ve watch every vid you’ve put out Rob. And that Tassi bush is special. Cheers
Hi Rob, thanks for taking us along and letting us live this experience vicariously through your lenses and wonderful commentary. Your enthusiasm for what you discover is inspiring. You certainly are a wonderful Ambassador for Tasmania. “Vote 1 Rob Parsons for Tasmania.”
Always such beautiful videography, young man. I am always feeling so privileged to watch your films. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. The places you go and open up to us are absolutely incredible! I really love it!
WELCOME BACK TO THE WILD WEST COAST OF TASMANIA! Excellent intro brother, great video, love watching these late at night right before dreaming of adventures 👊🏻
Grand sharing, amazing history. Exciting to know how much you love and appreciate your country and its history. Stay golden Rob, Happy Holidays to you n the family 😆🏔️🎄🇦🇺✌️
I much prefer these videos over your gold ones. I really appreciate the effort put into research the history and your writing and presentation of this work rivals famous presenters such as David Attenborough
Rob, you are so lucky to be able to do these trips but we are incredibly luck that you share them with us. Thank you seems totally inadequate but that is about all there is. Your work is fantastic.
Rob, that was a sensational video/film of such an interesting historical event. Your videography and production was excellent and the historic information was so interesting. Thankyou so much for sharing.
A stunning place, incredibly beautiful forest, and an amazing history. Thanks for the extended edit, thoroughly deserved to see you include the historical imagery to compare with a century plus later, thanks for your exceedingly generous output we all enjoy. Flea Creek and 19 Mile can do with another visit and investigate further if any osmiridium is left, what possible nuggets they'd missed and also relics may be discovered, and a go at sniping any anabranches they hadn't blasted. May you stay safe and happy and the best regards to Erin and Scout, cheers! Gabi of Narre Warren, Victoria.
Yes Rob, I do remember that but the extended version is awesome. Such an amazing place. I love the research you do and really enjoy the way you tell the story and obviously being a photographer do a very good job. Thanks for this. Look forward to others
4.04 mins in. Wow, amazing scenery and a true statement to the connection with nature. Great words Rob. Love ya work mate! Thank you for taking us with you on your adventures.
Hi Rob, McGinty …. you reminded me of a little song we used to sing as a child . I’ll share with you before I forget 🎶‘ Paddy McGinty was an Irish man of note, who fell into a fortune and bought himself a goat, now this very goat had an appetite and early one morning he ate some dynamite, 3 quarts of petrol, the same with gasoline ( something something) He sat by the fire and didn’t give a hank. A great big spark went down his throat and he went off with a bang. (slowly now) And if you go to heaven, i bet you a dollar note, the Angel with the whiskers is Paddy McGinty’s goat, aye,Paddy McGinty’s goat. 🤣Maybe someone can fill in the missing words.. Thanks Rob and Levi 😂❤❤
Going through all your recordings… again. This shorter one has to be one of my favs. Can almost imagine being there myself. Thanks for sharing and keep it up (after your little girl is born of course 😊)
Rob, thanks so much for sharing this Adventure with all of us. Seeing all the History and Historical photos and Amazing Workings was Incredible. Thank You!!! Heavy Pans and Gold Fever Always Brother, Tony @TNT Mining&Prospecting.....
Thanks Rob for all your hard work over the last 12 months.. May you and your loved ones have a safe and Joyful Christmas Looking forward to 25., Cheers mate love from Melbourne
I am privileged to live in West Cornwall and many of the valleys were worked for tin. So these remains of stream diversions are familiar. Great video guys. God bless you both.
I am a flogged out Oz prospector who worked in sixty or more sulphide type shows and am 44 years married to the daughter of a beautiful Cornish lass. It was the Cornish tin contractors who started the Australian sulphide mining industry in S.Aus in 1847. All Australian hardrock mining heritage begins with the Cornish men.
That was a very interesting look into a part of Tassie mining history Rob .The old prospectors did the same thing on the Yarrra River near East Warburton they dug out the Big Peninsula Tunnel and the Little Peninsula Tunnel and a number of other open diversions but they were looking for Gold .
When you said, "The Forest says, why did you leave me?" That hit me. It puts on it's best show, for you to take in, and attract you again to come back. Then when you leave it's sorta sad, and just waits, like a stone..
Thank you for posting, i am currently recovering from knee surgery and your and levis and vogus prospecting are keeping me going at the moment! Are there any other recommended channels ?
My only regret is I was travelling Tassie just as covid hit everything was closing down two days behind me hopped the boat back and drove until I saw the NSW sign, next time I intend to spend at least three months with my van and 4WD hopefully 2025. Greetings from remote rural off grid NSW opal miner here.
My great uncle was one of those people down there at 19 mile! I just recently found a cool pic of him outside of his hut. Different times! Hancock! He was my great uncle!
Well done lads. That was interesting.although Rob I,m sure you could have multi tasked a bit better. You had nuffin in your toes. Looked like a good place to live and work.
I had to look up my copy of Dana; either a hardness of 7 , a S.G. of 19 - 20 and a white to pale grey colour, it should yield well to panning if it is there.
Another quality vid mate 👌 love ya work. Maybe get intouch with some1 that knows a bit about lidar scanning maybe they could help ya get that birds eye view map of all the workings that the old timer built
Great film.I love the west coast.Live in hobart and have a shack at trial.harbour.Would be great to see you do a film on the area around trial harbour.
it blows my mind what the old timers would do to get to the prize, they were engineering genius. We have a couple of diversion tunnels in Victoria, 1 in Lerderderg ( my local spot) , another new Walhalla and another i think in the ringwood area. You could get LiDAR there to map the walled streams.
