Very useful. As much as I love Volvo redblocks I do HATE the water pump design on the B18/B20/B30 engines.

I'm not going to say I hate it but it does seem unnecessarily pesky with the o rings. Naturally, my genuine pump came with no waterproof grease so I'll probably use Stag paste.

Hello there. what are the part number of the 2 red pipes? the ones that connects to the water pump. thanks

I cannot seem to get the heater tube to go into the side of the water pump. Every time it goes part way and the O-ring is sticking out. I've been fighting with it for hours. Any suggestions?

Can we use regular vasoline? If not what about regular grease?

this makes the job look far more inviting than actually doing it in the car. That top water pipe is seemingly WELDED into the fricken pump, and onto the engine. Volvo really wanted us to suffer. Really poor design for maintenance - I can't wait to see how many times I have to connect the FOUR pipes into the new one for it to be fully sealed.
Thanks, though for the video, it's helpful just to see the dream and the little tricks to at least try sealing the o rings.

Where can I get the clamp you used to compress the water pump to the head?

@@user-hs3bc4bj6b Done this many times. No need for a clamp.. I used a crow bar to press it against the cylinder head. Easy peasy.

I took me a lot longer than the guy in the video.
