Man GB, we noticed this too. People are really tailgating, even when we are flying at high speeds in the fast lane. We would move over to let them pass, and after passing...they slow down, WTF? Man, I thought we were the only ones. Great video
@@BootsandJeansRiders I’m glad to hear that it’s not just me these morons are targeting. But it’s gotta stop nonetheless. I think they need to implement some kinda motorcycle awareness training when getting your license. Thanks for watching
Yep, Ive noticed it. Ive also noticed so many cars running red lights, it's crazy.
@@MisplacedMotoVlogger and they are blatantly running those red lights!! Thanks for watching Frank!!
Yes!
I'm seeing it a lot, too! I turn around and make a motion to back off a little. It usually works...
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures I do that as well, if the flashing the brake lights have little or no affect. Thanks for watching Eric!!
Yep. Left hand back off signal works for me. Brake checking is not a good option.
@@scott_brudahl yeah I know I’m at the disadvantage by doing the brake check thing but I still do it! Thanks for watching
Divers are aggressive and distracted, lethal combo.
@@NoFrictionZone and they just don’t seem to care!!! Thanks for watching
I've noticed people are driving like they are in a NASCAR race. Tailgating, crossing 3-4 lanes in one move. Election year crazy.
If I'm in my car and I see a bike I do my best to watch out for them. Play blocker on the highway. We need to take care of each other when we can. Stay safe. ✌️
@@ohiovalleyrider8623 you definitely make a great point for blocking when in a cage. At least it’s just not me and that I’m not seeing things that aren’t there. Thanks for watching
1:33 Sir . Sir .. that was a stop sign 🤣🤣🤣🛑🛑🛑🛑
@@DyinG_BreeD_MediA 🤣🤣the bar camera was blocking the part of the sign that say “except right turn”

Love the channel name! People definitely follow motorcycles waaayyyyy too close.
@@charmontravel thank you, appreciate the comment. Way too close!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Our lives are in danger everytime we throw a leg over a motorcycle 😎👍
@@northbysoutheast5439 the lifestyle/hobby we have chosen is dangerous enough without the tailgaters. Thanks for watching
Agreed, happening more and more, seems to be reginal, Florida is bad about it, we haul ass here in Texas, I've been doing 15 MPH over the limit and get passed like I was doing 15 MPH under.
@@9milsOn2wheels it’s just crazy how people have no consideration for others and their safety. As a truck driver I see the roads getting worse and worse…but at least in the truck I’m gonna win more of those battles!!! Thanks for watching Matt
I've noticed in real life and also in crash videos that drivers seem to do whatever they think is right regardless of outcome and get upset when things don't go their way. Its the main character syndrome. Its everywhere unfortunately. Defensive driving has never been more important.
@@tay_hay defense is always the best offense. I would hate to think if I had to commute in a higher traffic zone, I might have to rethink the whole riding to work thing. Thanks for watching!!
Man you nailed this on the head. This is definitely a tri state thing, but more often then not these assholes aren't concerned with the consequences of their actions or that there may be any consequences at all.
@@GearsOfSnore it’s a shame that they’d rather run ya over just to gain 3 seconds on the road. From the comments I’m getting, it extends past the tri-state!! Thanks for watching
I tend to go faster than the traffic around me. Not excessively fast, but fast enough to keep my distance from tailgaters. In the world of smart phones that have made people stupid, I am more concerned of getting hit by a distracted driver than a drunk or impaired driver. I am not invisible, but most drivers do not actively look for motorcycles, which is why they never see us.
Take care, ride safe.
@@PaulsMotoZen motorcycle awareness should be a part of the process when people get their license. If I’m able to ride faster than the people behind me I will, but being on the 2 lane roads most of the time I am not able to do that a lot. It’s sad that people are so unaware. Thanks for watching
Be safe out there GB 😮😮
@@larry68hd11 I’m working on that one Larry!! Thanks for watching
People speed everywhere to save a fraction of a second at their arrival time. Makes no sense how and or where they got a driver's license 😅
@@DyinG_BreeD_MediA driving for a living I have noticed people are getting either stupider or braver out here on the roads. As someone who rides a motorcycle their stupidity makes our lives more dangerous. Thanks for watching!!
@@GoofyBastard Always
I go above the speed limit too...right about where you are...well, can't say I've noticed an increase...I've just noticed so many on their phones...
@@PurpleOnThree there are definitely a lot of people on their phones. Glad that you not seeing this trend out your way!! Thanks so much for watching Jody!!
Definitely better out here where there's more space, but on the east coast it was TERRIBLE. Bad in FL too, I think since so many people ride and it's like the wild west down there they think "oh I know how to get close and they'll be fine" and they don't think about how you have no idea who and what TF they're doing
@@WhiskeyChaser a total disregard for other peoples safety. Living to close to a big city really makes things worse. I need to move out to the country so I can have the roads all to myself!! Unfortunately this situation isn’t gonna get any better!! Thanks for watching Chase!
I think we spent a couple years with minimal traffic, and now people just don't have patience. Everyone is in a rush and way to much traffic. I do think a lot of people are using the adapttive cruise on local roads. Its leaves big gaps in traffic, and they gets people fired up. Like you I'm just looking for a reason, making stuff up in my head. Ride safe.
@@MinnowMoto as much as Covid year sucked…it was awesome for riding cause there wasn’t anyone on the road. The roads I ride on(during my commute) are only 35-45 mph roads so the adaptive thing doesn’t even come into play. Thanks for watching!!
We just don't get too much of that here, especially tail gating which is a form of "pre meditated murder" LOL I don't use my motorcycle for work or errands which keeps me out of traffic areas, I am usually on it for pleasure so out of city within 20 minutes and into country and urban scenic riding.... but ya, I have heard that it happens. Canadians eh... LOL we just too polite. Not that I haven't seen crazy drivers just more so in my car then on my motorcycle. We do become complacent in our vehicles and we just are all in a rush and not paying attention. I tap my brakes, I don't have flasher, I stay aware and tap when I need to. STAY safe, good topic!!
@@HarleyGurl114 unfortunately most of my riding is done to commute back and forth. The worst part is I get all these people tailgating me and I am going against traffic both ways. Couldn’t imagine how bad it would be if I had to deal with the traffic both ways! Stay safe up there with your polite people and thanks for watching!!
I have adaptive cruise on the Kenworth I drive. It tells me the speed of the vehicle in front of me. Last week someone passed me in a dodge magnum station wagon doing 110 in a 70 mph zone.
@@hhplymouth9473 I have the same thing in the KW I drive as well. The fastest one I’ve seen so far was 126 mph in a 70 mph zone. Too much of a damn hurry if ya ask me. Thanks for watching
@@GoofyBastard These people are not thinking.
People just don’t get it, they have no idea how dangerous it is to tailgate. As riders, we’re so much more aware of just how stupid people are on the road. I wish I knew how to make it stop!! Road Rage is thing, but I too will signal folks to back off, it rarely works. If it’s real bad, I pull over, and point at my cameras….
@@Motoramblings when you figure out how to make them stop, can ya fill me in to buddy!! They are definitely putting us in harms way by doing what they do. I have never pulled off to let people pass. I probably should do that cause if I get into a battle with a cage…I’m probably gonna lose that one. Thanks for watching Patrick!!!
@@GoofyBastard exactly why I pull over, my two wheels will always lose!! If I’m not in traffic, they’re not tailgating me on these roads, if I’m in traffic, getting run up on, then one more car length isn’t going to change my ETA. Of course, I may be a bit sarcastic with waving them ahead……
No so much here mate but occasionally does happen. Running red lights seems to be the new normal at the moment 🤬
@@BigBert I need to move there if it’s not that bad!!! The red light running is definitely an issue here as well. Thanks for watching Bert!!

Here in Southern Az is more relaxed in a sense cause theres a lot of bikes on the road so people keep their distance from bikes. Dont take me wrong there’s still “these” people around…

Tailgating IS getting worse. Drivers are getting more impatient, passing on double yellows, the whole 9 yards. It's a freakin' shame that people are so damned self-centered that they can't be bothered to give 2 s**ts about anyone around them. I try to slow down a bit and give a bigger bubble in front if I have someone riding my a**.
I did a video on it last year, but having a GoPro aimed back that you can go "up periscope" with... definitely gets their attention and gets 'em to back off.
@@RoadReality glad to hear it’s not just me or my imagination. It is crazy out there. I don’t know how you do it, getting on highways commuting to and from work. That area you ride in is insane!!! People just don’t care anymore. Thanks for watching John.
