    The problem with the mirror views aren't the mirrors themselves, it's their position. I've had the same problems with all my Harleys with the same style of mirrors, for example.. on my current bike('09 Road King) I installed taller 10" mini-ape bars and the views in the mirrors are now perfect. The issue isn't in the design, it's in the varying heights and sizes of people. Ride on and be safe.

    • @GoofyBastard
      @GoofyBastard  8 месяцев назад +1

      I totally agree with what you are saying. I think once I get risers on this bike I will be able to see a lot more outta them. I’m also considering flipping the mirrors underneath the bars, again once I get some risers on it. Thanks for watching!!

    It is nice. But the first thing I'd get rid of besides the exhaust is the bags...not enough room I got a '23 FXLRS instead of the ST. I Enjoy paying $3K less for essentially the same thing w/o bags and fairing. I'll put some leatherpros and Memphis shades on the S along with the other $5K of stuff I'd add to either one and I'll be happy(I hope). I was very tempted by the ST but was quite aware that the HD dealer would jam it to me if I chose it. BTW, you never get any of those bikes at MSRP...you get tricked and bamboozled by the finance guy/gal whatever. MSRP means zip...You signature commits you. There is no shortage of those things now so all I can say is don't be a sucker...think before you sign.

    • @GoofyBastard
      @GoofyBastard  3 месяца назад

      You are right…the LowRider S is essentially the same bike without the bags and fairing, but for me, I wanted those things that’s why I chose the ST. The way I utilize the bags, the clamshells work for me. I’ve never had an issue with fitting whatever I needed to fit in there. I do understand that the leather pros are bigger but IMO the are not aesthetically pleasing. I didn’t have to talk to the finance guy or sign any of that finance paperwork. Thanks for watching

    I can't figure out what the ST is good for. It's ok at around town, it's ok at day trips, it's ok at touring but not good at anything specifically. On the 3 days test event I went on it was exhausting with the mid controls, the fairing was a little too small for comfort, the bags weren't big enough for anything we would actually want to put in them like on a RG. Don't get wrong, I'm sure it's fun for small jaunts here and there and maybe that's the use case for most people. Unfortunately It seems that a lot of people are buying the ST thinking they are getting a bargain RG when in reality they aren't.

    • @GoofyBastard
      @GoofyBastard  Год назад +3

      Personally and this is my opinion, I think the bike does all of those things better than just ok. It is a great bike for day trips, for around town. I can’t speak of the touring part because I generally don’t tour. But that is the reason I bought the ST instead of a RG. I wanted the lighter more nimble bike. And surprisingly, the RG or SG saddlebags aren’t all that much bigger than the LowRider ST bags. For me and the way I ride, this bike fits my needs perfectly. But just like any other bike, nothing is 100% perfect. Thanks for watching!!!

    Also, that gage thing is crap. The S round type with tach is much better. I bet Harley paid no more than $30 to get that silly little gage system made by some(Chinese) supplier. I don't care what others think, I think that thing is cheap cheap cheap. They use it on many other models.

    • @GoofyBastard
      @GoofyBastard  3 месяца назад

      I wasn’t a huge fan of the gauge at first. It has grown on me over time though. While I do like the looks of the round gauges…and really like the double gauge look. That would be at the bottom of my list for upgrades. There are far more important things to me to do to the bike.

    Hi Goofy, looks like you got a nice machine there. I've always been a Kawasaki guy until I bought my 2014 Road King this spring. I love the bike in every way and am totally sold on Harley now, but I find the seat so much lower and the floor boards higher so the angle of my hips and knees is much sharper and as a guy in his 50's, that's the only thing I'm not digging too much.

      Then you would hate the ST. My knees are much higher than I generally like, but I am getting used to it and like it more and more each time I ride.
