Dan Hibiki what do you mean? Jimi messed up notes as well. Just cuz he messed up a few notes doesn’t mean anything and the guitar has nothing to do with it. A terrible guitar player can play a custom shop les Paul that’s $5000 and they still sound shit. Jimi was a Sloppy guitar player and he wasn’t bad. Dumbass
@Gus Logozar But isn't the intro supposed to be mostly "strummed". I'm not literate about the terms of techniques but I'm pretty sure the intro is just full of melodic rhythm playing (and I know how to play it)
I looked for this comment as soon as all the stupid chicks started screaming when this hip hop dude or whatever started opening his mouth'it shoukd have been when the guitar player started the first note. great way to think about the song Ernie...i definitely agree with the guitar first, but i'd have to possible switch the vocals with drums, the vocals are so difficult and unique. most covers have vocalists that never quite do it for me...also would have to add in the xylophone!!
@@asmithii84 Jimi sang this also live(RAH) and other venues I do like SRV but in a hard core Jimi fan. You can't beat the Father Of Rock. Jimi gave us so much. What a great job by all involved! I have a problem with folks ragging on the vocalist, he was on time, sang on key, and when kids are doing positive things, creative things, they should be encouraged. It takes guts to get up in front of your peers and sing, play an instrument, act, or anything else that invites people to judge your performance. Every kid is not cut out for football or baseball, etc. this might be that kids “thing”. Great job guys...
I agree. The guitarist stole the show .. but the singer was very good for his age and yes .. he could carry a tune and had rhythm. That's more than you can say about a lot of people. The drummer was also very talented.
Watched 3 weeks ago, still gives me chills, great the young generation appreciate great music, the audience response is heart warming. Rock on. At 79 I never thought Little Wing would still be enjoyed...
How old is that guitarist? That's unreal. When I was in grade 11 our band played at school, I played mostly rhythm and then faked a solo on one song as best I could. I thought I was Hendrix .. lol .. but this kid ....
They ALL deserve credit for getting out there and adding to the stream of life- the guitar play definitely rocks the song but the singer isn't without merit- c'mon these are 8th graders.Hendrix himself was embarrassed by his own singing voice until he figured "If Dylan can do it so can I..."
I 100% totally agree! I can’t believe how cruel people can be sometimes. All those kids should be applauded because they sounded like a band, like they rehearsed and they played the song well. Bravo!!!
Guarantee they only did this song for the talent show because the Guitarist could play it. then he just filled in the other spots with whoever was down 😂 singer was too much
Kanye, lil Wayne, 50 cent ect are all real musicians, they were lyricists, producers, instrumentalists, all in one, on par with Gilmour but of a different genre.
@@johnbug1334 a few generations after the collapse of Rome the people living among the ruins thought that an extinct race of giants had built the colloseum, aqueducts and temples. So it will be with whatever rapping idiots find a way to play old records a generation from now
It just makes me ill to think that a high school kid has a authentic fender to play for his school band. Here, in India, you have to go to the extreme of getting hold of a " extra special" squier bullet from a neighbouring fancy school. A bullet! The standards. When will free thought, expression and liberalism establish itself enough so that every school in india is equipped with a fancy fender startocaster or a fender bass or even a decent drum kit. It makes me sad to think, as an indian, to doubt that such ideals will ever materialize. Fuck orthodoxy, fuck conventions. Give me that fender! I'm just jealous. P.S- equally jealous of that kids talent on stage. Dude ate up that lead section. Rock on Fernando Torres when he was a kid.
To be fair almost all guitarists over here in America start with Squiers as well, but this dude 100% deserved the authentic Fender strat he was playing. Good guitarists deserve good guitars
Guitarist kinda messed up and the solo was way too far away from Jimi's style. Guitarists need to learn that when you do a solo you need to do what goes best with song, not randomly shove in every single bit you can do in it. Also the tune was off but other than that gj
That guitarist is way too good for that band
Dan Hibiki you know for a fact that guitar is $1500? There are many models of strats and that one could be $300
Dan Hibiki what do you mean? Jimi messed up notes as well. Just cuz he messed up a few notes doesn’t mean anything and the guitar has nothing to do with it. A terrible guitar player can play a custom shop les Paul that’s $5000 and they still sound shit. Jimi was a Sloppy guitar player and he wasn’t bad. Dumbass
@Gus Logozar He used a couple of different notes but was still the same interval concept
Gus Logozar how do you know it’s the “exact one” strats look alike but vary in price and specs
@Gus Logozar But isn't the intro supposed to be mostly "strummed". I'm not literate about the terms of techniques but I'm pretty sure the intro is just full of melodic rhythm playing (and I know how to play it)
The guitarist legit nails the intro and no one cheers, but when the singer sings the first line, everyone goes crazy. Smh
didn't nail it at all haha was a good interpretation tho
The Frontman Gets The Chicks & The Talent Gets Sloppy Surfing!
@@Haha-Jim elitist?
And the singer wasn't even that good tbh, haha

This song is about the guitarist first, then drums, then vocal.

Wow...... That guitar player has some serious skill.... The way he ended with the scale down into the G area was just incredible... true genius.
Drummer is not bad either.
They should've stuck with SRV's version and the singer should be in the audience.
Don’t agree with SRV part but no vocals yeah
SRV’s coked up version is good, but none are better than the original.

I think the singer has the wrong idea
Yeah, he was more worried about holding his cock 🤔
Very good cover. The guitarists looks so relaxed.like his style.

Holy shit that solo, also the audience really need to learn when to cheer and when to shut up.
That kid nailed it! Its so cool to see these guitarists blow my expectations
Maybe the guitarist should go solo till finds people more on his level.
Just glad to see some young people appreciating the classics 👍👍👍👍nice job
The guitarist stepped up and said watch out dork...ive got it from here.
Yeah! Guitar man gettin' after it. Mad skills for an 8th grader....great musical sensibilities for any age. rock on!
I have watched this countless times omg. This kid can rock a strat. Wow.
wow this guitarist looks and plays like clapton
Owen Hu His guitar reminds me of the clapton signature model too.
Great job, nice to see kids playing Hendrix and keep his music going great job guys
Awesome. A tight band. Great drummer. And the guitarist steps out with his own interpretation.
Way to go, great to see youngsters keep Jimi Hendrix music going, fantastic
Kids doing Jimi their way. Jimi would love this.
Over ten years later, I'd love to see what the guitarist is up to now.
it makes me So happy to see the younger generation spending time to play and bring back classics such as a Jimi Hendrix Experience tune.
Amazing Instrument Detail Young Men Proud Of You!
Nice Solid cover for 8th graders .Enjoy your youth boys, those girls screaming in the crowd will echo in your memories for years to come.

Love the improved solo

They are good
The drums guy is under rated
The kid on guitar smacks. This kid is making Jimi proud. I hope you're still playing.
Wish they did SRVs version that way the guitarist got all the spot light
damn good
This is why i only do instrumental covers unless your singer has the right sound for the music

Interesting vocals and the playing was decent
The singer needs to be....not that lmao he needs to be in the audience the guitar kid needs to be in the studio with ppl on his level
