In 2007, my first child was born with a rare genetic disorder that only a few doctors in the world even knew existed. She died when she was 29 days old. This song has always brought so much pain but happiness as well. Thank you so much for the music you make and doing justice to important music from the past. "And she's walking through the clouds..."
So sorry for your loss. I’ve always felt so much listening to this song, but I don’t think I’ll ever hear it the same way again. Thank you for sharing this. When you’re sad, May she come to you with a thousand smiles…❤
@@jmpat0802 Gotta be honest, it sounded nothing like Pink Floyd or either Hendrix Experience, which isn't a bad thing at all, even because Main Squeeze is a funk/soul band. I mean, they could've been more loyal to the original version, playing Hendrix with a Gibson SG? Ouch. They did at their style, and it sounded pretty good (excluding the drums tbh), but Hendrix is not a soul band, much less Pink Floyd.
I dedicated this song to my mum who passed away at a very young 46 yo… I am 57 now, you realise how young that is at this age. I can see her walking through the clouds every time I hear this song ❤
I played music for years before i really fell in love with it. I started playing guitar when i was 12 and i didn't really get hendrix to be honest. I thought he was good i just didn't recognize the brilliance and didn't have the context to understand how important he was for the guitar and for music in general. I remember tripping lsd with some friends and i had just bought a used martin off a friend. I thought enjoying the guitar outdoors while the lsd kicked in would be a good way to get through the come up. I sat outside and really felt what i played, it seemed like nature was in harmony with my playing and the trees where swaying to the music. I realized that i must be really feeling the drug at this point so i walked in to join my friends and little wing came on in that exact moment. It paralyzed me, I couldn't believe what i was feeling through the music. I felt so much love through this song it opened my eyes to a different, less analytical more emotional relationship with music that never went away. For this reason this song will always have a very special place for me . Somehow with all the attention to detail you guys express an even deeper love and appreciation for this music than i can even comprehend and make me appreciate the song even more than I already did.
I appreciate Max's dedication to his SG even on songs that call for a single coil "strat" type tone. Always making it work. As always you guys killed it!
There is something ineffable about the SG. Play one long enough and no other guitar seems to do the trick. Ive had so many different and lovely guitars but I’m always back with my SG at the end of the day.
The closest thing to a spiritual experience I've ever had is listening to the opening of Jimi's original on good headphones. Max's take here is the only other one that's ever made the hair stand up on my arms like Jimi's does. You guys never cease to amaze.
Rob's bass line be like, this isn't going to just walk, we're going for a stroll, a little shuffle, a dance, and a crawl in the freshly cut grass to end up ambling into Corey breaking it down and Max tearing it up! Epic!!!
Main Squeeze keeps the flame of real music burning - bringing light to the darkness that pervades what people listen today. Most young people don't even know who Hendrix is! Really a sweet cover. Thank you so much for gifting us this jam!
I definitely agree with you awesome cover. Check out Milwaukee 95 a young pearl jam covering this and maggot brain incredible solo you will love it if you liked this
Put this one on and my wife, who isn't into music, says "hey I know that one!" I talked her into letting us use Sting's cover for our first dance at our wedding. Good to know that three decades later she hasn't forgotten. :D When SRV's cover came on my car radio a couple years after he died, I had to pull over. I felt like my favorite guitarist had given me a wedding present from beyond the grave. Now you guys have hit that feeling again. Thanks for the late wedding present. Love you guys. Fly on, my brothers.
I have to agree w Christopher Smith i didn’t know I needed a bass solo in the middle of little wing! Now that i have had one i want a bass solo every time during little wing. I will say it is about time you unleashed the bass beast and let it eat! All hail MQZ!
My wife is pregnant and our baby girl moved a lot hearing you guys. Surely she was dancing to your amazing cover. Definitely this Will be part of her playlist. Thanks guys, please come to México!

I love the fact that every one musician in the room could have played this song solo and it would be amazing ... all together are just over the top. real cool and unique.
I have to agree. I think that helps set it apart from other covers that just sound like a "recital." Max and his SG are a unit at this point, and he's able to express himself fully though it and sound inspired by Jimi rather than just copying him. I've always felt like the original conveyed every emotion humans were capable of experiencing all before the vocals even kicked in. Maximillian on the got-damn guitar managed to do that perfectly here. Then he takes that feeling and just blows it up to the size of the universe at the end. I'm just listening over and over again in awe here.

Fantastic version of one of my favourite Hendrix songs. One of my biggest problems with the original was always how short it is - this definitely addresses that with Max's transcendent solo, but also showcasing Rob and in general featuring perfect synergy of vocals and instruments.
Song has been covered so many times, even with a fantastic rendition, it's virtually impossible to make a dent with guitar/vocals. But glad to see Rob Walker get some props! The man kicks a** on bass and that made this version extremely enjoyable!

Watching the guitarist leave this galaxy each time he goes into a solo is still one of the best things, ever.
agree, unfortunately the singer is disturbing it sometimes....
He plays with such deep soul it is emotional.
Watching the bass player come out of his shell is just even better. I remember the first vids where he was trying to be a shadow.
this song does that to guitarists..
and then he stood up! Ithuoght it was over! all these guys are stellar musicians. some tasty jam fer yer biscuit this mornin!!!
