I have shown your “Have a Cigar” cover in a lesson for my jazz band kids to show how to play around the soloist as a rhythm section and sure enough you guys do it again with this one. Incredible work to everyone in the group and a big shout out to Mr. Walker on bass. It’s very evident that this band understands that the bassist drives the bus. I can’t say it enough, great work.

These guys play renditions of songs. Covers are the songs played exactly how it was written and not straying from it. A rendition is when you add your own spice to that shit and main squeeze definitely adds their blend of 11 herbs and spices to the songs they play. They capture the soul and emotion and thats what makes their renditions so awesome 👌 👏

I think the rhythm and maybe even the lead may have been played on the Bill Lewis guitar he used popularly on in Meddle and DSOTM. It's similar to an SG, double cut and short scale. If you plug a gibson into a silicon fuzz and roll the volume back, you get that crunchy zingy smouldering sustained tone. Either way I think the fuzz is essential
Apparently the solo from another brick in the wall pt.2 has been recorded on a Les Paul with p90's, and not on the famous black strat. Can't tell if this is 100% legit, but I've read that many times

Having heard his other solos, he is probably one of very few on Earth that I'd trust to play one just as good, and I would've have loved to hear his take on it!

I've heard this wonderful version many times. Sometimes I try to pay more attention to one of the instruments, but they are all fantastic. Even those that normally stand out less like the bass which is actually fabulous. What a magnificent band...
This performance made my 13 yr old son go nuts about Pink Floyd. Yeah, when dad listens to it meh... but when it's live and mind blowing, he thinks he just found the band of the century.
Tbh the production on this is much better than Floyd's. Obviously a 50 year leap in audio technology will do that but I'm sure he'll visit the rest of TDSOTM after hearing this.
@@JakoTheWacko Yeah exactly, this definitely has a much better sound quality about it. I'm sure we all know how discouraging it is as a kid to try and intake old media. The audio is all fuzzy and crackly, tv is in black and white. Some people learn to appreciate that stuff in time, but it makes sense for a kid to turn a deaf ear but respond to this.
I discovered The Main Squeeze about 3 years ago and I can't get enough of them. I listen to them every morning. Every cover they do is BETTER than the original. Especially love their Zeppelin covers.
Without exception, the guitar solo of TIME by Pink Floyd is my favorite guitar solo. when I am alone and very introspective this brings tears to my eyes. Tears of joy and positive memories along with just good old warm fuzzies. You are the only band to ever do it True Justice. Thank You.

@@JakoTheWacko Yeah exactly, this definitely has a much better sound quality about it. I'm sure we all know how discouraging it is as a kid to try and intake old media. The audio is all fuzzy and crackly, tv is in black and white. Some people learn to appreciate that stuff in time, but it makes sense for a kid to turn a deaf ear but respond to this.
I discovered The Main Squeeze about 3 years ago and I can't get enough of them. I listen to them every morning. Every cover they do is BETTER than the original. Especially love their Zeppelin covers.

Without exception, the guitar solo of TIME by Pink Floyd is my favorite guitar solo. when I am alone and very introspective this brings tears to my eyes. Tears of joy and positive memories along with just good old warm fuzzies. You are the only band to ever do it True Justice. Thank You.
