Fantastic old Car had a few of them back in the day the only problem with them was rot but great car to drive on a long trip

Raced a few of them. You go in harder in a Granada. Now they are old and not forgotten we dig them up and race the rotten. Lots of life in the old girl.

Great cars back in the day my auntie had 2 a mk1 3.0 ghia in metallic purple on a m reg and a v reg mk2 2.8 gl in green metallic.

it's not a Ghia, 2.1d was only available in basic trim, which this has! great car though would be a shame to not see this saved!

That Granada is possibly the taxi spec offered by Ford at the time, they came with the diesel engine and a no frills hard wearing interior and provisions for taxi meters, it is definitely not a Ghia, only taxi spec at the time came with a diesel engine

The trims in the cab are from a MKIII Cavalier L, I believe. Pretty rare now.
That looks like the Granada i fitted a radio cassette and electric airel too used to be a Taxi
Look up Ford falcon XD and Ford falcon XE ( and XF ) and they look almost alike more so the XD :)
Mk2 Ghia Granada never had the diesel engine.
The diesel was a spec of its own then !

Dont bother , the mark 2 2.1 diesel is the slowest car known to man. I used to look after one for a farmer and back in the day kids on bmxs used to leave it standing

A mate had a face lift granada mk2 but it was the 2.8 gia x auto and an estate that had air conditioning and electric adjustable seats it wnet well he bought it at the time from a banger racer round the corner from him that bought it to race but looked it over and said it was to good so he sold it to my mate for £350 with tax and mot ,i had the guy he bought it from take my cavalier 1.6 mk2 saloon away for scrap a car that amazed me it stated running on only 3 cylinders i never checked the water and it was on the motorway 70 mph running on 3 temperature in the red and it went 11 miles till we got of the motorway blue smoke everywhere we parked up and waited for him to pick it up i wa so glad it made it as it would have cost more than it was worth to have it recovered off the motorway .

I have a Honda Varadero 125cc and last week I noticed that the dash display "temp Gauge" counted at one bar after a 30 minuet ride, so today I have flushed the coolant, refilled with coolant, checked the radiator wire connector sprayed with break cleaner, took the cylinder head valve out and looked at the condition,
started the bike to burp the rad
tomorrow I will go for a ride and I have the feeling the temp gauge will still show one bar
what do you guys think?

I was asking should a sub read it and know. I did ride for two hours and dash board digi temp gauge still shows one bar but all is well.
Tomorrow morning I most likely will go to either Blackburn or Pendel on A ROADS
