The first recovery I ever went to was a new mk1 Escort which had hit side on onto a dual carriageway central lamp post. On arrival the car was still wrapped around the lamp post and was near to split in half across the back floor. To recover the car we had to pull both pieces apart, drag the front onto the trailer followed by the rear section which we both lifted on. After this experience I said I would never buy one and 5 years later I went and bought a Mark 1 1300 Sport. Still got some old points and condenser if you want some, lol.
