IMHO the best UI you can get is from either Nitecore TIKI, or Olight Baton series...
What I want from a light is a way to start in moonlight by press+hold... then low, medium, high, by clicking... and turbo with double click!
I hate when I have to guess "Will it start on low or will I blind myself in the middle of the night?"
That rant being said, I like that this light always starts in turbo as it should for a tactical light, it locks but some lights are press+hold to turn on anyway, and even it I don't like crenulated bezels I'd say it's a pretty good build!

To be honest, I'm not into tactical flashlights and like you, I'd prefer starting out in moonlight. With that said, I like the fact that there is no guessing where this light is going to start out in. Turbo!

Probably not the right specs for my usage, but looks like a nice product. They have another model on that amazon link (NT23) that is only $38 but you give up the holster and extra battery.

I'm not the type that would normally use a tactical light but knowing what the light is going to come on at every time, that is something I enjoy. Even if it's turbo.
