    I got the sharpie metal barrel shiny one and it does fit energel refills, you just need to use the spring from an energel pen (for some reason). I've loved my sharpie pens for a while, but I've just gotten so many bad 1.0 refills from them, the energel 1.0 refill is far superior, and it fits perfect with the sharpie pens i love.

    I love the kit. And I love the Swiss Card Lite so much it was my first video on the channel :-) I'd add a tracking card. The one I use is by Seinxon, it works with Apple's Find My and is rechargeable unlike the single use ones out there.

    Same same with zippo, leupold, and on your 6 holsters. I broke my belt clip on my holster and called and asked to purchase a new one. They sent me two free of charge. Great American companies selling great products. Another great is Henry Repeating. There are still a few great companies out there and I try to send my business their way when possible. You have just added another to the list. Thank you for sharing.

    00:00 🛍 Walmart EDC Items Overview Items chosen at Walmart were based on personal preferences and availability. 01:09 🕯 Flashlight Option The Energizer Tac 300 was chosen as a pocket-sized flashlight due to its output and features. 02:15 📒 Pocket Notebook Selection Mini composition books were not available, so pocket-size notebooks in various colors were purchased. 03:28 🖊 Pen Choice The decision to go for EnerGel pens over Sharpie shell pens was based on personal preference for ink. 04:10 🔥 Zippo Lighter Selection Opting for a brass Zippo made in the USA instead of a flashier design or more expensive options like the American flag Zippo. 05:03 ⌚ Watch Decision Choosing a Casio Royale classic watch over pricier pocket watch options due to personal preference and EDC community appeal. 05:28 🔪 Knife Selection Preferring the Kershaw Leak over a more expensive Kershaw Blur due to size, design, and assisted opening mechanism.

    Looks like good choices. Instead of the folding knife, Walmart has/had a nicely reviewed multi tool for 40-45. Lots of decent multi tools coming out now, small to larger size 18-50, maybe not at Walmart.

    Great video! Carry what you need, and need what you carry. For me, I've got pliers at home, the car and in my Messenger bag. I don't need pliers so quickly that I don't have time to access one of those. That's the driving factor for me - not only whether I use it but how quickly I need it. I carry general purpose EDC items that I need quick access to on a not infrequent basis. Some people need much quicker access to pliers than I do. YMMV. My carry priorities, in order (after phone, wallet, keys): 1. Flashlight, 2) Notebook & Pen (in my wallet), 3) One-hand opening folder, 4) LeverGear charging cable (on my keychain), 5) scissors/screwdriver (my SAK), 6) trouble kit, 7) pry bar and 8) butane lighter.

      @@SurvivingtheDaily Hi - I use the little 5g dyneema bag Ben Vallack mentioned in his credit card-sized EDC kit video. That video and Jon Gadget’s altoid tin inspired my set up. I hadn’t seen your channel yet, but you’ve given me some great ideas! The Trouble Kit weighs less than 4 oz. In the bag, I keep • Pokka Pen • Note paper • $100 bill • 4 zip ties • Tick remover • Glue stick • Duct tape • Self-Amalgamating tape • Microfiber glass cleaner cloth • 3 bandages • Alcohol wipe • Iodine prep pad • Shout pad • Expandable towel • Needle & thread • Mini tin with meds & safety pin & match stick • Paper clips • Q Tip • Spartan fire tinder • Ferro rod • Whistle • Leatherman Signal blade sharpener • Fresnal magnifier with ruler • Knot/Hazard Signal/Morse Code instructions

  • @ParkerBinion
    @ParkerBinion 10 дней назад

    Very interesting! Thanks for the ideas! My carry priorities are flashlight, one hand opening folder, notebook & pen, charging cable and scissors/screwdriver. I would turn around and travel 10 minutes back home if I ever forgot one of these. I carry a SwissCard Lite, A7 notebook (Rhodia, RITR or Life Noble) and pen (Zebra F301 Compact) in or clipped to my regular wallet (an Allett Original). I've got a Clutch credit card sized charger that would also fit, but I keep it in the car as I carry a LeverGear Cable Kit on my keychain. I've got a fresnal laying around as well I might add to the wallet. My SAK has the scissors/screwdriver covered. If I have room, I will also carry a lighter, pry bar and Trouble Kit.

    Victorinox customer service was pathetic the only time we used them. Not only did they wait a month to even start the work, they sent us a message saying that since the work wasn't started that they were going to return the knife to us and charge us for it. Once that BS got straightened out, they did the repair. But then they messed up other parts of the knife (RangerGrip 71 Gardner). All they had to do was replace the corkscrew. But then they made the scissors so that they cannot cut. They also dulled the knife blade to the point that I could draw it across my hand and not even get a scratch. I resharpened the blade on my own. But, the scissors are a total waste. This was about 3 years ago. We will never buy another Victorinox product again.

    I've never tried any electric screwdriver so I can't really compare. I worry about tightening too hard. I did just pick up a nice 39 pc precision set with a manual driver from Steinwhale for $16 that I can recommend. They also make those tiny double sided bits you see in a lot of EDC kits. IMHO the best UI you can get is from either Nitecore TIKI, or Olight Baton series... What I want from a light is a way to start in moonlight by press+hold... then low, medium, high, by clicking... and turbo with double click! I hate when I have to guess "Will it start on low or will I blind myself in the middle of the night?" That rant being said, I like that this light always starts in turbo as it should for a tactical light, it locks but some lights are press+hold to turn on anyway, and even it I don't like crenulated bezels I'd say it's a pretty good build!

      To be honest, I'm not into tactical flashlights and like you, I'd prefer starting out in moonlight. With that said, I like the fact that there is no guessing where this light is going to start out in. Turbo!

    Wow that is a huge departure from your normal carry! Well done. I've been going more minimal for summer too but hadn't thought about it until this last week when it was so cold in the mornings I had to get a hat and coat out of the closet to walk the dog. it reminded me how much more I carry in colder months. I really like that wallet too.

      To be honest, I feel naked without all my other stuff. But it is nice to lessen the burden of all that weight.

    I too like to modify stuff to meet a certain size, length, need! It's hard to be original nowadays, the way you use, pack and combine EDC tools could be different for different users!

      Right! Everyone has EDC pouches from all different suppliers but they are basically carbon copies of each other. And so are the contents.
