I name my main characters “Noob.” The headcanon is that MC is so generally untalented that people started calling them this as a nickname. It’s gotten to the point that everyone just refers to them as “Noob” instead of their real (canon) name.
“Please help me ur mom.”

In Persona 4, I made my last name "Funky"
"Mr. Funky, care to answer?"
Robert Clark
Funky student
I named my character in P5 Joker Updog and then everyone was saying “updog-kun” and I hated it.
Yu Funky?
Is it weird that I put a lot of thought into naming my Persona characters? Then again, on my last P3P run, I decided to just name her after Digimon characters so she was Hikari Izumi. I'm currently playing P5R with protagonist Yuki Yagami. I wanted to name him Shiragami, but there was a character limit. I think I ran into the same problem in P4G when I wanted to name my character Watanabe :'(
I had no idea what to name the protagonist in P5 so I went with “Sneaky Teen”. Everyone calls him Teen-kun and frankly I love it
Anyone ever name their character names they've always wanted or sounded cool?
I did.
I just improvise in the moment with something like "Gebred" and hope there isn't a terrible word in another language that sounds like that.
I once named my self Master in Ocarina of time so whenever someone would talk to me it would go “Hey, Master”
Thinking of a username is sometimes harder than the game itself.
I can relate
Undertale: I swear I spent more time on the title screen than the 2nd hardest fight in the game
That is why I stick to a single name in every game.
*cough cough* Pokemon *cough cough*

My brother named himself “Zelda” in Ocarina of Time. We were like 10 yrs old so we didn’t know better, we thought Link’s name was Zelda. Could not tell you how much I laughed when we met Zelda in the castle and realized that Zelda was the princess/girls name.
“Oh you’re Zelda right? I’m…. Zelda”
i usually name myself
"sweetie"
"sweetie, Come over here"
"I'll defeat you and my plan for world conquer will prevail sweetie."
i read this in my moms voice

So whenever she introduced herself, she would say, "I am my ass" and it was lovely.

I once named myself cake in a dating game, so every boy just sounds like an extreme sweet tooth lmao
I love naming myself “AAAAAAAAAAA” or “AHHHHHHHHHHHH” so whenever someone says my name it’s like they are screaming in agonizing pain in situations like how the scarf I was wearing looked good on me
That scarf looks so good on you, AAAAAH!
Hey AAAAAAAH, I baked you a cake!
hello, AHHHHHH nice day today!

Name your pokemon trainer "stab me" and when someone shouts out your name they go "stab me!!!" and then run up to you.
Or when there's a really serious moment where something big just happened, and then they just mutter "stab me."
Made it way more interesting for me personally.

I hate that new RUclips, when your video doesn't end on a perfect second, decides to cut it to the nearest second, so now it's "haha that-"
It only happens the second time you watch it though

When I play any Zelda game, I name the protagonist Linky.
It doesn't mess with the plot too much but it's still like 20% sillier.
GigaPurpleCheeseMan There's one blog that named Link "s-senpai."
Ghirahim is a lot less threatening when he's stuttering: oh-s-senpai-oh.tumblr.com/post/111024522529
GigaPurpleCheeseMan I named Link "Zelda" in OOT as a dumb child, which led to great dialogue like
"'Zelda'... That name sounds familiar."- Zelda.
"Boy...no Link"
At least its not Dinky
I named mine Lonk.
I remember i saw a video with funny names in Undertake and then in a dialogue with Flowey, he literally said "Bitch huh ?"

I like to use the name Steve. Steve works for any situation, really.
When I played a visual novel, I named the MC "dawg" and I've never regretted that decision in my life.

The best thing I did in Homescapes was naming the cat as "you bastard". From then on all the interactions from the mild-mannered buttler towards his cat were curses (just as in real life).

seeing your name in the game's dialogue is the textual version of your custom character in a cutscene.

The first time I ever played A Link to The Past, I was a little kid. I just ended up naming the save file as the first thing I could think of, which was the name of my grandfather, first initial and last name, but the last name didn't fit so I had to shorten it, which resulted in it being named "F.
