Do you think the toon ones are better than the mezco ones: not sure what they’re called but they’re dark looking. I’m in the market of getting either set just not sure which one to get. I think they’re both great looking sets.

After all the advances in turtle figures we got.... this seems like a step back. Their first release of the playmates retools was amazing, this is an apparent cash grab off the high of that, the body sculpts are the exact same with different paint job so all they had to focus on was new head sculpts and they fumbled that shit bad. I wish ppl would stop lying and saying these look good, instead of admitting their slaves to the industry, probably the same type of people who support scalpers cuz why have principles when u can have plastic
I don't blame them for the repaint and same bodies, that's just the business. Less accessories overall definitely sucks, but my biggest gripe is the Donnie heads. I think the rest of the turtles are all pretty good but the Donnie heads choices are baffling

I own the first set and I love these too. I get having more accessories makes you feel better about spending your money but if you don’t like something why watch a whole video one it let alone click on this hoping that he ragged on this set??? I don’t get the hate of everyone wanting this to fail so bad. It’s like there just can’t be two of anything out there one has to be the inferior one to justify everyone who over paid for the first set or can’t afford both. People need to grow up.

The first set they did with the gritty turtles might be one of the very best, if not the best, of all time so far. But this... The head sculpts are just weird. I wonder if whoever approved of this is just as high as these guys look.
Totally agree. They could at least have thrown in some trench coats for all the turtles. The donnie head choices are just weird, he really doesn't have an alternate emotion its all silly or comedy

I would go with the dark ones. They are more in the vein of mirage comics turtles. The toon ones are great but like the Donnie faces aren't so good
