    I love that you use reddy ice but it’s not ready for service until you break it up lol I’ve never noticed that before

      Lol I’ve never thought about that! Some of the catering stations will put dry ice on the bags to keep them from melting, so that’s why we have to break it up most of the time.

    Hi Hannah. Sitting in the airport at SEA awaiting my return flight home to SFO. Watching your videos makes the wait so much more fun. Usually I just people watch but your videos give so much more detail of the travel experience. And you do it with so much joy that it is infectious. Keep up the great work!

    I have a f2f with AA coming up and I was just wondering if you had any advice on commuting? Also, do you know what the junior bases are right now? As a commuter, I'd love to get Atlanta because it's driving distance but I know the satellite bases aren't typically open to new hires. Thank you for all the videos! I've learned a lot!❤

    • @hannahsims3799
      @hannahsims3799  Год назад

      Hi Missy!
      I commuted for my first year and half (if you include furlough). On reserve it’s a lot easier if you get a crashpad or have a place you can stay when you’re on call. A line is a little bit more flexible.
      Right now they are sending a lot of our new hires to Miami and Dallas, but it changes every year. When I got hired most of our class was sent to New York and Philly.
      Atlanta is a satellite base out of Miami, but goes super senior so that would be harder to get. And might be a little bit harder to commute to since you’d have to fly back and forth from Miami. It might would be easier to do Charlotte so that you could at least drive if you can’t catch a flight.
      Good luck on your interview!! Hopefully all goes well and I’ll see you in the skies soon! If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to answer them!

      @@hannahsims3799 thank you for all that! I really appreciate it! Can you tell me what you mean by ATL is a satellite base out of Miami? Do you live in Miami and fly to Atlanta to start the trip or can you live in Atlanta?

    Hi Hannah!👋 I am a retired Flight Attendant, and I can so relate to the “bumps in the road”, lol! I know just one little glitch can upset a smooth schedule. I remember our layover in New York one trip. We stayed in an older hotel that I thought was so creepy. I was up on maybe the 3rd floor where on the outside was many rows of air conditioners, and the workers could just walk around freely to work on any problems. Ugh, what a view huh. Anyway, it was a tiny room and I just couldn’t get to sleep, I was so creeped out, that I put the desk chair under the door to keep anyone from getting in. I was unnerved all night. That was the only time I felt that uncomfortable in any hotel we stayed in. Our flight home the next morning was smooth and uneventful, and so happy to be home for a couple of days! By the way , when we did our room checks, we always had another crew member stand at the open door to make sure everything was safe before we closed and locked the door! Thank you for sharing with us! 🙋‍♀️😘

      A few of the senior mamas will still do the room checks with us. But lately a lot of my layovers we’ve all been on different floors.

    Hi, Hannah and Happy Wednesday!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙🌷💖💖💖💖💖🛫💖💖🎇👍. Spring is here and you're working hard at the airport. Amazing!😀⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍. Also, the words "Snowball Effect" is like a pinball machine that hits anything in the center. Ouch!😨. Plus, California have lots of snow and the highways are slippery with sleet and ice! AHHH!😨. So...yeah. Finally, your outfit is fabulous and shiny like gold! I'm impressed!😀💙⭐💙⭐💙⭐💙⭐👍. So, good luck and keep an eye on the skies, it might get bumpy. And one more thing, Palm Springs is the greatest place ever to play golf, running on the track or dancing to the music on the radio. Have fun!😊😙💙💙💙💙💙🌷💖💖💖💖💖🛫💖💖😊🎇🎉👍

    Great vlog, Hannah. Wow, what a trip. I feel for you because i have had those days where one thing goes wrong and then it just snowballs for the rest of the day. When you mentioned that it was really bumpy, i remembered one flight i was on, and the turbulance got real bad. Luckily, that is the only flight i've been on where it happened.

    • @hannahsims3799
      @hannahsims3799  Год назад

      I’ve only had severe turbulence a handful of times in my years of flying. It’s definitely scary, especially when you’re out in the aisle. Luckily no one got hurt this time!

    Got upgraded to Business Class on the A321T using miles, which is rare and difficult to get. I absolutely hate TSA at Orlando. I am glad I have PreCheck. Funny, I was going home through DFW as well. They need to upgrade the terminal. This was going on during the October 2021 operational meltdown.
