Great tunes, I don't think I'd ever heard Laura's Magic Legs before. Just the other day I was watching some old home video of my and my brother playing on the banks of Loch Laidon we'd just got burnt to dvd!
I know it's been a while since your comment about Laura's Magic Legs but you might be interested in the background to the tune. Laura was a fiddler with the band for several years before studies for a medical degree got in the way. As well as being a very talented fiddler, she was an excellent dancer. At one function, after she had finished her highland dance, a member of he audience commented, "Aye lassie, you've got magic in these legs." The comment cried out for a tune so L'sML was born!
Many thanks for the kind comment. I suspect that, before we opened our RUclips channel, the only people who would have heard LML were those who had been at ceilidhs where we have played or the 486 who bought our CD!
If you need lulled to sleep, have a wee listen to our Rhona doing the honours on another of our videos, The Hebrides. I'm nodding off just thinking about it!
