Constantine (325 AD) DID NOT change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday as Sabbath keepers falsely teach. Christians never kept the Sabbath from the apostolic age (33 AD) through the time of Constantine (325AD). Constantine merely made the first "Sunday closure law", since it had already been the day Christians worship for 300 years!

@@kac0404 Saturday in languages current and past has meant Sabbath. Saturday is the seventh day of the week according to the Calendar. The Jewish people never changed their day of worship and their Sabbath has been and is still on Saturday. The Bible has no scripture that makes a different day the Sabbath Day.

@@dalpz205 Sabbatarians can't get their story straight! Who changed the Sabbath? Is it the pope, Constantine or some Christians in Rome?
      - First they say the Pope changed the Sabbath. Then, when that proves false, they claim Constantine changed it! Then when that is proven wrong they now say that "Christians in Rome" changed the Sabbath to Sunday
      - There is nothing here to say that Constantine changed anything. Constantine is making a civil decree that because Christians were already meeting on Sunday, as they were doing since the time of the Apostles, that Christians should not work on Sunday. Read it again!
      - Today, it is not a sin to work on any day of the week! But it is a sin to not partake of the communion and give every first day of the week! Acts 20:7; 1 Cor 16:1-2; Heb 10:24-25

@@dalpz205 THE SABBATH LAW IS NOT CHANGED FROM SATURDAY TO SUNDAY - The tradition of the Christian church is to meet together on Sunday, the first day of the week. Some interpret this day of meeting as the day in which the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, was changed to be fulfilled on the first day of the week (hence the term, Christian Sabbath). In support of this view, three Scripture references are given to show that Sunday is now the Sabbath day for Christians (Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Revelation 1:10). However, within the context of these passages, there is no reference to the Sabbath nor is there any element of the Sabbath law. It is certainly possible to construe from these passages that indeed the New Testament church carries on the tradition of gathering together for fellowship, breaking of bread, teaching, and worship, However, it is not possible to interpret from these passages that the New Testament church gathers on Sunday to fulfill the Sabbath law. Any interpretation of this as being a Sabbath for the New Testament church requires a large amount of eisegesis. Scripture is absent of any direction or commandment is given by God that advocates the changing of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. If indeed we are to fulfill the Sabbath law of the Decalogue today, as some would suggest, it takes a lot of gall and outright rebellion to change what God called holy, the seventh day, to the first day of the week without having distinct direction from God. After all, what were the Apostles thinking to blatantly omit any instructions of the Sabbath observance? Unless, of course, they believed the Mosaic Covenant and the Sabbath obvservance to be obsolete.

Me too. I currently attend an SDA church but have problems with some Adventist doctrines and teachings, including the belief that Sunday keeping is the Mark of the Beast. While I agree in the importance of keeping the Sabbath, I don't believe that its a matter of salvation, and declaring Sunday to be the Mark of the Beast is to make salvation about the Sabbath instead of Jesus, who is Lord of the Sabbath (see Mark 2: 28).

    • @hotwax9376
      @hotwax9376 2 года назад

@@MikeLundquist How can you say the Sabbath doesn't save us but then turn around and say that Sunday is the Mark of the Beast? Revelation 14:9-10 clearly states that anyone who receives the Mark of the Beast is lost and goes to hell. And if you believe that Ellen White is God's last day prophet, then you also have to believe that the Sabbath is a salvation issue because she said that Sabbath keeping was "eternal salvation." (I can't find the source, but I know I've read it in an excerpt from one of her books.)
While I believe in keeping the Sabbath as a matter of obedience, the Bible says that salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone. And He said that He has authority over the Sabbath. The way SDAs talk out of both sides of their mouths about whether the Sabbath is necessary for salvation and try to have it both ways is one of the things that convinced me they were doctrinally problematic. The only reasons I haven't formally left are because there are no SDB churches around me and I have devout Adventists in my family for whom my staying is important.

  • @DanielParsons1

Praise God for your sound Biblical theology. When we let Scripture interpret itself, there is no denying that Saturday is the seventh-day of the Bible. When I first studied this truth with a neighbor, I realized that the Episcopal church had been sharing traditions with me and not scriptural doctrine. Sabbath began at Creation 2000 years before Abraham. We will keep Sabbath in heaven when you study Isaiah 66:22-23. In Acts 13:42, the Gentiles begged Paul to come and preach the following Sabbath and this was decades after HE ascended to heaven.

      1 CORINTHIANS 9:20-22
20 To the Jews I BECAME LIKE A JEW, TO WIN THE JEWS. To those under the law I became like one under the law (THOUGH I MYSELF AM NOT UNDER THE LAW), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I BECAME LIKE ONE NOT HAVING THE LAW (THOUGH I AM NOT FREE FROM GOD’s LAW BUT AM UNDER CHRIST’s LAW), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.
      Romans 3:20
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
The law is like a map that God gave the Israelites to find their way to Him (Paul says no one was able to keep the law and no man will be justified by keeping the law). God instead gave us His Spirit to lead us back to Him through Christ. It's either law or Christ. Some have built a doctrine on using the map (law) to be made right with God by their own efforts instead of being led by the Spirit of Christ to do it for us.

@@honesty2152 Praise God for your faith in Jesus Christ sir. We will have eternity to ask questions about all that the Bible teaches us. One principle that I as a lay person, (unpaid servant) have learned is to look at what every scripture says about a topic. The Sabbath was given at creation in Genesis 2. The law of first mention means that is the most important verse in the Bible about the Seventh-day Sabbath. Then in Exodus 16, when God provided food for His children in the desert when manna fell from heaven, the Sabbath (seventh-day) is right there before the ten commandments were given at Sinai. All ten of the commandments can be found in the New Testament. The Sabbath is holy time that satan attacked because it is the only commandment that deals with time. Jesus perfectly kept the law and HIS shed blood on Calvary is the only thing that can save me or anyone else because I can never keep the 10 commandments perfectly. In John 14:15, Jesus says: If you love me keep my commandments. There are only 8 scriptures that mention the first day of the week and none of them mention that there has been a change to the weekly Sabbath ( Seventh-day ). The Catholic church clearly states that it is their ecclesiastical power that made the change. I recommend Hal Holbrook's documentary where he outlines the history of people that have always kept God's Seventh-day Sabbath at sabbathtruth.com

It seems like the seventh day Baptist believe in Salvation by confession and belief in Jesus and that baptism is an outward sign of that inward believe where is The Seventh-Day Adventist make it more legalistic to join the church. But also that they follow the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy Which is far as we know is not inspired so I think the seventh day Baptist is the true church to follow in matters of faith and practice. So I'm glad to find a few sites on RUclips because there are a lot of strange sights that don't preach the truth and seem to be more out for money than anything else. Adventists follow the teachings of Ellen G. White (Mary Baker Eddy was Christian Science), but otherwise accurate. Ms. White repeatedly added to the Bible, something Proverbs 30: 6 explicitly commands us not to do. I grew up SDA, and noticing that was what started me on the path out. I unofficially left a year ago and would love to visit a Seventh Day Baptist church, but unfortunately there are none near me. There is, however, a large LCMS church about a mile from my house that has Saturday evening services, and I think during DST that might be a good alternative.

    You are totally correct.
People, Christians, are failing to see that God as the Supreme Ruler has given us His Supreme Laws ( a ruler has to have laws). And because God cannot change, His laws cannot change. God has basically one law, The Law Of Love,.Jesus came and showed us that it is. He summed it all up to love for God, tablet 1, Commandments 1-4 and love for each other on tablet 2, Commandments 5-10.
Like breaking the speed limit, you break the law governing speed but the speed limit law is a subsection of The Traffic Laws. You then break The Traffic Law.
When one breaks one of the Ten Commandments you break The Law of Love, (the Ten Commandments), it comes as a whole written on two pages, tablets, and further subdivided into ten. Satan only needs us to break one, to have us rejecting the authority of God.
    Don't be deceived

Him being Lord of it is a matter of what to do and what not to do on that day, not a matter of its existence as a whole. That’s like saying we now “not murder in Christ”. Spiritualizing what is clearly laid out to do does no good.

Brother, all of those 613 commandments were based on works and not faith but now through Jesus Christ we have the ability to be justified by faith, but the Mosaic law was not of faith.
When the veil of the Temple was rent into from top to bottom signifying no more blood offerings and sacrifices for the cleansing of sin that ended the practice of Judaism according to the works of the law the Bible says through the works of the law shall no man be justified.
How hard is it for you to realize that Jesus is everything that Judaism wasn't.
      Jeremiah 31:31-34
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
The New Covenant is spiritual, and there is no such thing as over spiritualizing God's word. God is a spirit, and those that worship must worship in spirit and, in truth
We are sanctified through the veil that is to say his flesh
By keeping and observing the Sabbath according to the Mosaic law then you are coming against

Right. It is important that we keep the commandments, including Sabbath. That is God's basic outline for how He wants His people to live. However, we can't make the mistake of thinking that "good living" or keeping commandments will save us or lead to eternal life. That is found ONLY through grace by faith in Jesus.

One scripture I will share is in the book of Hebrews.
      Hebrews 8:1-13
      8 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
The main verse is in the 13th verse under the Mosaic law the grace of God had not yet been established for example in the book of Jeremiah of tribe of Judah and Benjamin had corrupted the land because they did not allow the land to be at rest on the Sabbath day and on the Sabbathical year so this was one of the main reasons that God allowed the Babylonians to take them into captivity
      Jeremiah 17:21-27
      21 Thus saith the Lord; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.
      24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the Lord, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the Lord.
27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
But as you know they did not hearken to the voice of the Lord through his prophets and they were condemned to be cursed according to the book of Moses that God told Moses to record but God promised to establish a New Covenant that will allow the grace of God to be birth alive within the hearts of men.
      Jeremiah 31:31-34
1 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Verse 33 says that he will write it in their inward parts in the hearts of men and this could only happen but through the blood that was shed at Calvary through Jesus Christ now this is why Jesus Christ is our Sabbath not according to the writing on tables of stone in which it was weak through the flesh now the Lord requires for the Saints to rest in Jesus spiritually not according to going to church on a certain day or establishing a church as Seventh day Adventist which is of the Mosaic law.
The tablets of stone didn't have the grace of God so therefore the Jews were condemned according to the circumcision of the flesh.
But the Bible says that whom the Son has set free is free indeed.
Just as it was in Acts 15:5-10 certain Pharisees said that the new converted Gentiles had to be circumcised in order to be saved but Peter spoke out against that doctrine and he ask them Why try to put this yoke upon us that even our fathers could not keep.
You know that the circumcision of the flesh was superior in conjunction to the Sabbath this was the way that God identified the Israelites as being his people but it was according to the flesh and Christ came and abolished the enmity thereby.
      Amen 🙏!

@@Charles73358 thanks for the response brother.
      Firstly:
It is important to realize that the Sabbath was not part of the "mosaic law" as you put it, but part of the ten commandment law. This is a mistake that is commonly made among Christianity. They remove the Sabbath from the ten commandments and lump it in with the laws of sacrifices and offerings. God spoke the ten commandments to all of Israel, and wrote them with his own finger. The Mosaic law was told to Moses alone, and he wrote them. So let's not mix the Mosaic law with the ten commandment law, they are distinct and separate.
      Secondly:
I'm not sure how the Jews being punished for not keeping the Sabbath is relevant to whether or not we should keep the Sabbath today.
      Third:
The law written on the heart is not just a NT concept. David said
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.
      Psalm 119:11
The Israelites were also keeping the Sabbath before the ten commandments were given, which is clearly shown in the manna episode, which took place before the ten commandments in Ex 20.
      Fourth:
God's grace has been given to humanity since the very moment that Adam and Eve sinned. God said to them that in the day that they ate of the fruit, they would surely die. Well we know that they didn't die that very die, because grace was applied to them. The Bible says that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. As soon as sin entered into the world, Jesus offered himself as the Lamb to be slain, thus applying grace to the human race. And the OT is absolutely full of verses speaking about God's grace and mercy, so I'm not sure where this concept of Grace only applying when Jesus came comes from. It's certainly not biblical.
      Fifth:
We are told in the NT that those who love God will keep his commandments, and that if you do not keep his commandments, then you do not love him. This is made clear in 1 John. And of course we have what Jesus says in John 14.
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
      John 14:15
Let me know what you think my brother. God bless you.

Don't allow yourself to be under the law for the Bible says those that are under the law are under the curse.
You are not a Jew you are a Gentile when Cornelius received the Holy Ghost and his entire family God did not require for Cornelius to be circumcised.
For the Bible says that if any man be circumcised Christ will profit you nothing.
When the Gospel reached the Gentiles the day of Pentecost have fully come the Sabbath was just a shadow of the Messiah that was to come in the Jews future to bring everlasting righteousness now the Sabbath became spiritual because of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ the commandment of the Sabbath is now of the spirit and not of the flesh Jesus is our Sabbath and we can now rest in Jesus when persecution arises and trials and tribulations come into our lives we cast all of our cares on Jesus.
For the Bible says to think it not strange concerning the fiery trials that is to try you as though some strange thing has happened unto you but to rejoice for we are partakers of Christ suffering.

I think the problem is that None Sabbath keeping Christians including pastors can't discern the difference between the Law of God (ten commandments) written by God himself on stone and the Law of Moses given to him by God but written by the hand of Moses in a book. This book of the Law was placed beside the ark of the covenant while the tables of the ten commandments were placed inside the ark. Colossians 2:14 is talking about the the Law of Moses. The new testament just say Law so we have to discern which law the author is referring to. If you see the phrase "The law of commandments contained in ordinances" this is not referring to the ten commandments. On the other hand when you see the phrase "keep my commandments" or "keep his commandments" it is referring to the ten commandments. Another mistake that is made by pastors is that they consider the word "Law" as synonymous for the entire Bible for example Psalm 119 is specifically about the ten commandments not the bible in it's entirety.

God made the Sabbath for ALL men that believe in Him. The only difference is that He commanded the Children of Israel to keep His sabbath and ANYONE who attached themselves to Israel. We as beleivers in Yeshua are GRAFTED in to the commonwealth of Israel. Therefore we also should obey and keep the sabbath holy regardless of what Catholicism as well as protestantism follows. There are manmade laws and traditions and there are God's set apart commands.. Both are totally opposed to each other in many ways.

Christians Cannot Mix the Law of Moses and the Law of Christ
    · The Pharisees mentioned in Acts 15 who were claiming that Christians had to be circumcised and to keep the law of Moses had carried their false teaching to the churches in Galatia. It had become such a problem that Paul wrote them the letter to the Galatians in order to correct this false teaching. In Galatians 5:1-4, Paul wrote, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. 2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. 3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. 4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace" (NKJV). The Judaizers had been teaching Christians in Galatia that they had to mix certain works of the law of Moses with their Christian faith. Paul told them that to do that caused them to be bound to the entire law of Moses. They could not mix the two at all. Paul then went on to tell them in verse 4 that it caused them to be separated from Christ and to fall from grace.
    · Read Acts 13:39, "and by Him [Jesus Christ] everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses" (NKJV). Mixing the law of Moses with the law of Christ carried the consequence of having to follow the whole law of Moses. This meant they would have to bring back the animal sacrifices and everything associated with the Levitical worship system. And we see from Acts 13:39 that even if they did this, they still could not be saved because the law of Moses was incapable of accomplishing justification. Animal sacrifices were insufficient. Hebrews 10:1-4, "For the law [of Moses], having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins (NKJV)

Steven Miller that was a Jewish tradition, not Biblical. The problem with the Jews of Jesus's time was they had made up a bunch of do's and don't on the Sabbath that were legalistic. The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath (Mark 2:27). The Jews were not keeping the Sabbath, they were only trying to make laws in order to make them feel better about themselves, then to point fingers at others when they stepped out of line. But we are not called to boast. For to boast would be to break God's law. God law is not binding, it's liberating. I do not keep the Sabbath because I have to, I keep it because I want to. It's not by doing the laws we are saved, but by faith. And by faith, we know God's law is good, and we want to follow His commandments.

No you do not go to heaven. The bible plainly teaches when you die, you remain in the grave (greek hell) and await the ressurection. If people went to heaven, what is the point of ressurection? What is the point of Jesus returning for? It's a heretical teaching from catholicism that many protestants have been polluted with.

rebellion is like a holstered knife we all wear. And Christ is like a rescue line sent to save us. Only the rescue line can save us, the holstered knife is powerless to do so. But if we unholster it and slice into Christ's heart it can destroy us. So too obedience cannot save us but a refusal to obey can destroy Jesus will to save us. Exodus 20:1-17.No where from Genesis through to Revelation is another day used for worshiped day, Sunday worship observers are just not in the Bible.

Some try to use Acts 20:7, And upon the first [day] of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread,...” as evidence that the disciples were having a communion service on the first day, (thus designating it as the new day of worship).
But pursuant to Acts 2:46, “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house,...”
We find that coming together to break bread happened “daily”. Breaking bread was on a “daily” basis.
Therefore, Acts 20:7 has no bearing on changing the Lord’s Sabbath Day.
    Isaiah 58:13-14 is clear:
“If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
then you will find your joy in the LORD, and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.” The mouth of the LORD has spoken.
Keeping Sunday for rest and worship of God is simply man’s tradition.
    Jesus said:
Why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? - Matthew 15:3
    And Jesus continued by saying:
Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
“ ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’” - Matthew 15:6-9
Here is a call for the endurance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. -Revelation 14:12
Before you bring it up, let’s directly address Colossians 2:16
“Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.”
If you study this section of scripture carefully in context (Colossians 2:14-21), verse 16 is talking specifically about “ordinances”. What is not to be judged is everything in relation to the “ordinances” in the Old Testament.
“The” Sabbath Day is NOT an ordinance. “The” Sabbath Day is a commandment.
There is a difference between the “commandments of God” and the “ordinances”.
Verse 16 is talking about the “ordinances” connected to all of the other sabbath days (such as Day of Atonement), new moons, and festival days. For example, Passover is a sabbath day. Christ is our Passover Lamb, so now, we don’t let people judge us if we just break bread and and drink wine (Body & Blood of the Lord Jesus) to celebrate it instead of killing a lamb, eating lamb, and sprinkling the doorpost with blood (Old Testament Way).
    See
    Exodus 12:8-24, Exodus 19:10-13, Leviticus 7:20-21, Leviticus 16:27-31(Day of Atonement), Leviticus 22:4-6,9, 2 Chronicles 2:4, Numbers 15:10-15, Number 18:8-11, 2 Chronicles 35:13, Ephesians 2:15, Hebrews 9:1,10, 1 Chronicles 23:31, 2 Chronicles 31:3, Nehemiah 10:33,
    Exodus 20:8

Excellent job regarding the scriptures in Acts, however if you do some study on the size of the church in Colossae and how far away it was from where most of the Gospel was preached you'll discover that there was a small group of believers. Considering this, that passage of scripture most likely means "let no one judge you on the fact that you are keeping the Sabbath and feasts amidst the mass of others who are not". If Paul did away with the feasts it would be mentioned somewhere else as well, but he also kept them after the death and resurrection and the receiving of the Spirit on Pentecost. (Acts 18:21) Paul also explains how to keep a feast in Corinthians.
The "shadow of things to come", is in reference to the tabernacle being a shadow of the heavenly tabernacle. In the Millennial Kingdom we will keep the feasts, the sabbath and the other commandments.

▸ Keeping the sabbath was part of the law that Christ took away. “He . . . canceled out the certificate of death consisting of decrees against us . . .; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ” (Colossians 2:14-17). Christians are no more obligated to keep the sabbath than the other Old Testament festivals or its food and drink regulations! In fact, we are warned against going back to the Law to justify our practices. To do so severs us from Christ (Galatians 5:1-4).
▸ Death was the God-given penalty for not keeping the sabbath. “Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death” (Exodus 31:14-15). If, as some suggest, we should still keep the sabbath because of what is said in these Old Testament references, should we enforce the penalty that these same references require?
Let us be content to leave the Sabbath where God put it, part of His ancient covenant with the nation of Israel, a covenant that has been replaced by the gospel of Christ.

      - Christians are to worship together, not on Saturday (the Sabbath), but on Sunday, the first day of the week. Acts 20:7, I Corinthians 16:2

@@kac0404 According to that logic you also need to commit adultery because it also carries a death sentence. In fact you need to break all the laws in order to prove you love God. Of course that's not true. Jesus, who is the Creator God, said if we love him to keep his commandments. God also told us that sabbath is 'forever' and 'perpetual' (without interruption). Jesus also said that he did not come to abolish the law. He said that heaven and earth would pass away before anything in the law passed. Heaven and earth are still here. Jesus also told us that whoever breaks the 'least' of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be least in the Kingdom. Jesus said anyone who keeps the commandments and teaches others to do so will be great in the Kingdom. Jesus is the Creator God who created everything in six days and rested on the seventh day. He then made the seventh day 'holy' (set apart from the others) because on *It* he rested from everything he had created and made. This is why we read Jesus is the Lord of the sabbath...he created it and made it holy. Sabbath was here before the fall when he said everything was 'very good' and sabbath will be here after the new heaven and new earth.

And how does that demonstrate a change of the Sabbath in the bible? God was sick of the hypocrisy of the Jews, nothing more. He estableished the feast days to point forward to Jesus' sacrifice. But the Jews regarded these things as buying them salvation, in spite of their unchanged hearts. Jesus showed the real spirit of the sabbath. You can choose to denigrate one of the ten commandments (not suggestions, and written with the finger of God), but be very clear that if the ten commandments are changeable, then anything goes.

David HOW DID THE LAW COVENANT BECOME "OBSOLETE"?
However, the Law covenant became in a sense "obsolete" when God announced by means of the prophet Jeremiah that there would be a new covenant. (Jer. 31:31-34; Heb.8:13) In 33 C.E. the Law covenant was canceled on the basis of Christ's death on the torture sake (Col. 2:14), the new covenant replacing it.---Heb. 7:12; 9:15; Ac. 2:1-4.
Thus, if a person insists on holding to the observance of the literal sabbath, he fails to accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the torture stake and thus rejects the forgiveness of sins that it makes possible. It is just as if he insisted on offering animal sacrifices after Jesus had offered himself, the one sacrifice for sins forever.

@Patrick Lambert Instead of throwing insults, why don't you do something called...STUDY GOD'S WORD!!! Maybe you'll have a better understanding.
The Law of Liberty (Law of Christ)
      · It is freedom from the bondage of the Law of Moses. (Galatians 5:1) “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangles again with a yoke of bondage.” NKJV (Acts 15:4-5, 10, Romans 8:2) The law of Moses was incapable of the justification of sinners (Acts 13:39).
      · It is freedom from the bondage of sin. (Romans 6:16-19, 20-22) All who are under the tyranny of lust or anger or hate are slaves while all who live with the law are truly free. (John 8:34-36)
      · This liberty is not a license to sin, to live anyway that one desires. (Galatians 5:13, 1 Peter 2:16, Romans 6:1-2) True liberty is living as we should, not as we please. It influences us to serve and obey God not out of compulsion, but out of love. Men are truly free when they want to do what they ought to do. (II Corinthians 10:5)
      · The law of liberty is contrasted with the law of Moses. Galatians 6:18, "Everyone that heareth these words of mine and doeth them not ... like the foolish man who built his house on the sand ... great was the fall thereof (Matthew 7:26-27). This is a call to obey all of what Jesus taught. But, is not the Law of Christ a "law of liberty" in comparison with the Law of Moses? To be sure it is.

@Patrick Lambert #1 - Bondage from Satan? Are you kidding me? Seriously, you're just playing, right?
      MAYBE YOU'LL READ THIS TIME!
Paul in Romans seeks to show that the Law did not make men righteous but instead gave them the knowledge of sin. Therefore there was a need for a new way of righteousness, the way of forgiveness through faith in Jesus’ sacrifice. He wanted his readers to understand that those who accept the sacrifice of Christ are living “under grace” and such would not produce a life of sin (as many thought) but a life of righteousness. Thus in Romans 7:1-6 Paul answers the question, “Shall we live in sin because we are under grace rather than under law?”

Christians worship the Lord every day of the week so, to me, arguments about WHEN to worship the Lord are just plain silly. AND the Lord rested on the seventh day after creating life on this planet. AND that same Lord rested again on that same seventh day - this time in a borrowed tomb - after he redeemed Adam's rebellious race. AND he provided a double portion of mana on the sixth day and none on the seventh day, not just for the Jews but for all the descendants of Israel (AKA Jacob). AND any Christian can tell you which day of the week is the first day - the day Jesus rose from the dead. That still leaves a question, however. Because the Genesis account is about God resting and blessing an hallowing the seventh day and the sabbath commandment is about resting on the seventh day, it seems only logical that Christians would more often meet together for corporate worship on the day we don't do any work. But neither the Genesis account nor the sabbath commandment include any reference to worship per se. So the question is whether Christians should emphasize resting on the day the Lord rested more than - or instead of - emphasizing worshipping the Lord on that day.

It is true that we as created beings should worship the Creator daily, but there is one special day that has been set aside for that special communion where we all come together and worship. That's the Sabbath. It is a remembrance an acknowledgment of His love and creative power. Revelation clearly states who we should worship, and moreover it links the 4th commandment of the decalogue. So this tells me that just like my wife and I have a special day on the same date every year to remember our love (anniversary) our Creator has His special day. I love my wife every day, but our anniversary will forever be special.

The Sadducee Temple priests officiated the weekly Sabbaths and High Days at the time of Christ, who never contested their solar calendar.
In 66AD the Pharisee Anti-Roman (Anti-Fasse/ANTIFA) Zealot rebels, seized control of the Temple.
When contested for control, 20000 Judean 'Jewish' Edomites assisted the Zealots and murdered most of the Sadducee aristocracy, priests and hundreds of the Jerusalem populace.
The ANTIFA Zealot rebels then appointed their own accursed lunar calendar high priest, who was the last to be seen standing in the Holy Place when THREE AND A HALF YEARS later, the prince of the Roman Empire arrived and desolated Jerusalem, Judea and the Jews in 70 AD - culminating in the taking of Masada another THREE AND A HALF YEARS AFTERWARDS.
Most of the Christians, remembering Christ's words, escaped to Jordan between the two sieges of Jerusalem - the first siege by General Gallus who then strangely withdrew from Judea, and the second by "prince" Titus son of the new Emperor.
These SEVEN YEARS are the fulfillment of Daniels prophesy.
Surviving Pharisees continued to enforce their lunar calendar 'sabbaths and high days' in the Synagogues, which they controlled - hiding the Sadducee Temple calendar from the people.
Constantine managed to establish the Resurrection day as Sunday in 30 AD on their Julian calendar, which actually overlapped the Biblical weekly Sabbath THAT year.
Unable to establish the Biblical calendar, Constantine changed Sunday to the first day of his new Roman week, in honour of the Resurrection.
Later Constantine's son Constantius ll, knowing the Pharisee's lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar to be Babylonian and Canaanite, forbade them from signaling the start of their lunar months across the Empire from Jerusalem.
As a concequence, Hillel ll was forced to choose a Roman day for their weekly 'sabbath', and he chose Saturday - the seventh day of Constantine's NEW Roman week. The rest of their lunar calendar they kept by Rabbinical calculation.
Thus the true Biblical Temple calendar was lost until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scroll's.
The Dead Sea Scroll's solar calendar, corrected to the Sadducee 19th Abib Omer Wave Sheaf, is the correct Biblical calendar, revealing the weekly Sabbaths and High Days - which is why the Zionist State of Israel suppressed them for 40 years before they were leaked out on micro fish copies.
Saturday was only chosen as the Jewish 'sabbath' by Heliel II about 300 years after Christ. He standadised the Jewish calendar. Even before that, the weekly 'sabbath' they kept was the Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' that the Pharisees introduced and enforced in the Synagogues, after the Temple was destroyed in 70AD.
The true weekly Sabbath was already hidden by the Pharisees in favour of the Babylonian lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar. Knowing this, Constantine's son forbade them from signaling their pagan lunar calendar observations across the Roman Empire.
However Constantine himself was unable to determine the true Biblical weekly Sabbath, but he was able to determine that Christ was resurrected in that year on the Roman solar calendars "Sunday". Therefore, in honour of the resurrection he changed Sunday to the first day of his NEW Roman week, and also made Sunday the day of rest.
Without Roman authority to signal their Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' across the empire, Hillel II and other anti-Christ Jews were forced to choose a Roman weekday as their "new sabbath" and he chose the seventh day of Constantine's new Roman week - i.e. "Saturday" !
Rabbi 'Sages' don't tell you all this and most Rabbis don't even know this themselves !
Karaite Jews today still keep the Babylonial lunar calendar and many Christians have been seduced into doing the same.
Jericho was an ancient lunar calendar observation city dedicated to and named after their moon god.
The Bible called Jericho the "accursed city" and Joshua was commanded to totally destroy it and its inhabitants after marching around it once for six consecutive days, and seven times on the seventh day - i.e. 13 times in total !
I think that, as opposed to the Second Advent and the "Marriage of the Lamb" that nobody knows when, the preceding "great and dreadful day of the Lord" can actually be established as the 20th March 2031.
The world will feel that ominous consuming fire approaching and will run around trying to hide, while Christians enter into their inner prayer "chambers".
When the Christians come out, there will be no OTHER flesh and blood survivers - who will be burnt up and trodden "as ash under their feet."
They will mourn for their friends and relatives who weren't "saved", but SOMETIME afterwards will witness the return of Christ coming from east to west.
Raising their eyes they will be transformed in an instant, allowing them to rise up and meet His RETURN.
Thereafter, they will be consoled when He "wipes the tears" from their eyes and takes care of them like as "calves of the stall".
That's how I perceive these future Biblical events.
Don't the dead in Christ rise "first" - a great multitude ? Then those living Christians that are "left" come safely out of their prayer chambers - AFTER the "wrath", to "tread upon the ashes of the wicked who have been removed from the earth" - "The righteous shall NEVER be removed but the wicked shall be cut off".
These "saved" righteous remnant "lift up their eyes", and are then "changed in the twinkling of an eye", and able to rise up and meet Christ returning with this great host.....
The chronology in the Septuagint is a few hundred years longer than in the Masoretic Text. Both are flawed:
The imminent millennial reign of Christ on earth coincides with Yahweh's 2nd 'day' of rest - "and His rest shall be glorious" because His Son is ruling on earth for that 1000-year-day.
So if Yahweh's first "day" of rest was ALSO a thousand-year-day, in which Adam died at 930 years old "in the same day" he sinned, and Adam was also made near the end of the previous 6th 'day', then we are currently near the end of the 13th thousand-year-day which actually ends on the "great and dreadful day of the Lord" on the 20th March 2031.

So if you are standing in Samoa, and the sun is straight overhead, and you have one foot on one side of the international date line and another foot on the other side you have two different days. One is the Sabbath and one is the Sunday. I have a news article where the SDA split over which day was which in Samao. According to the Bible, the Sabbath starts on Friday our day, as the sun goes down and ends on Saturday, when the sun goes down. So if you are in Alaska and the sun sets and doesn't come back for months is that the Sabbath? To honor the Sabbath you are forbidden to work, you servants to work and you were forbidden to light a fire, try that in the winter. The church started on the Day of Pentecost - which was the first day of the week. No I don't keep the 10 commandments - I have a higher standard. Matthew 5:22 don't kill becomes don't hate, Matt 5:27-28 don't commit adultry becomes don't think lustful thoughts, Don't take the name of the Lord in vain becomes in Matt. 5:33-37 be very careful of what you say. I also am not a Jew, and the 10 commandments are also called a covenant, and it is clear in Deut. 5:2-3 that these were given unto just the Jew under Moses read the rest of the chapter. Check out Deut. 9:9, 11 they are called a covenant, and they were carried in the ark of the covenant. In Jer. 31: 31,32 God said he would replace all of those laws, and He did: Heb. 8:7-13

However, there is nothing anywhere in the Bible that states that Jesus kept the sabbath. It however does say that he was at the synagogue as the custom dictates.. and remember, the term "custom" stems from ancient greek term edo which is not a God made law nor even a man made law.

Respectfully, the word 'sabbath' is not used once in the book of Romans. Romans 14 is referring to eating and drinking or not eating and drinking on certain days (fasting or not fasting). Paul talks about 'men' setting aside certain days to God (for fasting or not fasting). Paul is not talking about God Himself setting aside a day and man moving that day to any day man wants. Romans 14 is talking about fasting, which in reading church history, was a very big debate at the time. Should one fast one day a week, two days a week, which days, or not at all. Romans 14 is not talking about the sabbath day which is a memorial to something God did in the past (created everything in six days and rested on the seventh day). God already told us that sabbath is 'forever' as well as 'perpetual' (without interruption). It's every seventh day perpetually. God bless you brother.

There is no New Testament passage that says that the first day of the week (Sunday) is a Sabbath or day of rest for Christians. The first day of the week is extremely important to the followers of Jesus, for on that day the Lord Jesus rose from the dead (Mark 16:9). In the first century disciples of the Christ assembled on the first day of the week to break bread (take the Lord/s supper) (Acts 20:7) and to give contributions (1 Corinthians 16:2). Without doubt, in the New Testament the first day of the week or Sunday is the special day of worship for Christians. But, in the bible this day is nowhere called the Christian’s Sabbath or day of rest.

@@kac0404 You are correct when you say that nowhere in the scripture is the first day of the week referred to as the Christian's sabbath or day of rest. True. It is a sweet tradition that was started very early on by the church. When we read church history we see that the earliest church kept *both* the seventh day sabbath (memorial to the Creator/creation) and the first day (memorial to Christ's resurrection). Both days were kept. God gave us the Feast of First Fruits, an *annual* appointed day within the week of Passover, which is always on a Sunday, to remember Christ the First Fruits of the Resurrection. But the early church wanted to celebrate Christ's resurrection more than once a year, they celebrated *every* first day of the week. Very sweet. There is only a problem when traditions of man are held up over God's commandments making God's commandments void. Jesus said:
      Mark 7:8-9
"You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions." And he continued, "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!"
There is nothing wrong with setting aside Sunday to God unless of course we make our tradition of Sunday keeping trump God's commandments. Some people wrongly think that sabbath has been moved from Saturday to Sunday. You do not make that mistake and that is good. God bless.

No, God did not establish the sabbath at creation, it was unknown prior to it being given to Israel and ISRAEL ALONE through Moses. Nehemiah 9:13-14 makes this clear. The day on which God rested following creation was not the sabbath. It was the one unique and never to be repeated day that followed the six days of creation. Adam and Eve were not told to rest that day. (They were less than one day old). They were not told to number the days to seven then start again at one, and nor were they told to rest on the 14th day or the 21st etc. There is not a hint of the sabbath being an ongoing weekly observance until it was first mentioned in the Bible when the manna was given to the Jews in Exodus!
The sabbath was given to Israel as the SIGN of the Mosaic covenant. A covenant that Christians are not bound by. The sabbath therefore has no place in the chur h.

Hebrews 8:13 is speaking of the ceremonial law fading away. To a certain extent there was a changing of the guards from the time of Christ’s death and resurrection until the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD. This after all is the entire thrust of the book of Hebrews- Jesus is better than Old Testament (ceremonial) law. There was a warning to first century Christians to not go back to the temple and return to these old practices or they would literally be destroyed when the Romans hemmed them in from every side and destroyed the temple and the city.
Some would argue that none of God’s law has been abrogated, in fact Calvin uses the term transposed for the ceremonial law. After all there is no forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood.
So the question is what part of ‘sabbath’ keeping is ceremonial law and has been transposed to heavenly places, and what part of sabbath keeping is moral law that has been written on the heart of man at creation?
Can we find any Sabbath keeping prior to the giving of the 10 commandment in Exodus 20?

17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
Everything that the Mosaic law entailed was carnal 100 percent carnal .
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is known as the holiest day of the Jewish year. Leading up to and on that day, Jews traditionally ask for forgiveness for our wrongdoings from God and from our fellow human beings.

All of these things that were administered by the High priest are carnal and those that still practice this tradition will be denied entrance into the New Jerusalem the Holy city for the Bible says that the carnal mind is enmity against God and it is not subject to the law of God neither indeed can be .

Jesus kept the Sabbath. He lived under the Law Moses. "But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law" (Galatians 4:4). As an observant Jew, Jesus was circumcised (Luke 2:21.) He kept the Passover (Luke 22:15). There is no mention of his observing the Sabbath after his resurrection, even though he remained on the earth for some 40 days. That would include at least five Sabbath days.
The reason we find no further observance of the Sabbath is seen in the fact that the Sabbath and other Old Testament observances were abolished at the death of Christ. "When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him. Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ" (Colossians 2:13-17).
The Scripture says Christ took the decrees out of the way, having nailed them to the cross. Therefore, we are not to be judged any more concerning food or drink (dietary laws), or the observance of special days (including Sabbath days) or seasons. One commentary states: "The word 'judge' here is used in the sense of pronouncing a sentence. The meaning is, `since you have thus been delivered by Christ from the evils which surrounded you; since you have been freed from the observances of the law, let no one sit in judgment on you, or claim the right to decide for you in those matters'" (Albert Barnes). The apostle Paul, by inspiration declares that the Sabbath day has no more significance to us any more than the feast days, etc. We do not live under the Old Testament system at this time.

However, a Christian’s obedience must come from the heart, “You shall love the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ this is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ there is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30,31). @@kennethastewartjr9087 The Function of the Law of Moses (3:19-20)
Paul simply points out that the law of Moses did not bring salvation or justification, but a knowledge of sin. The Old Testament speaks and what it shows is that all people are guilty before God. The “stopped mouth” (ESV, NKJV) is a courtroom picture. By placing one’s hand over one’s mouth one was indicating that they had no more to say in one’s own defense. How could the whole world be liable to God’s judgment because of a law given to the Jews? The answer is that if the Jews, who had the privilege of being God’s covenantal and elect people, could not keep the law, then it follows that no one, including the Gentiles, can. No one can present a defense. The mouth of every person is shut when it comes to a defense. Both Jews and Gentiles are guilty.
Verse 20 is very important. Appealing to the law of Moses as a defense will not work because the law shows that Israel is guilty. The law shows that all our guilty. The Jews thought that possession of the law of Moses, circumcision, and keeping food laws and sabbaths would legitimize their covenantal status. The Jews appealed to these things to show that, though sinful, they should still be justified by God. Paul’s point is that the keeping of these things does not give the verdict of righteousness. All who attempt to prove their covenantal status by appealing to the possession of the Law would find that the Law itself accuses them of sin. The Law did not show that Jews were different from Gentiles. The Law revealed that the Jews were the same as the Gentiles. These covenantal marks (works of the law) were of no value because the Jews were not doers of the law, just like the rest of the world. I think we are able to grasp this problem. The more we try to keep the law, the more we realize that we are failures at keeping the law. But this was God’s plan. The law of Moses revealed the failings of the people and teaches the concept of sin. Paul gives a more detailed explanation of the purpose of the law of Moses in Galatians 3:19-4:7. The law acted as a babysitter, giving us the elementary regulations, until the fullness of time came (Galatians 3:22-24; 4:3-4). Paul makes a quicker point in Romans to say that the Law brings the knowledge of sin. The Law does not bring justification, nor was it intended to bring justification.

    - The only reason that we are not to covet today is because the Law of Christ commands us! Romans 13:9, Hebrews 10:1, 9
    - Those who appeal to the old law make make themselves a debtor to do the whole old law. Galatians 5:2-3

@kac0404 Praise God for your faith in Jesus Christ sir.

@@DanielParsons1 There is absolutely no evidence that this is the case. In Genesis 2:2-3, God sanctified or set apart and made holy the seventh day, but there is no evidence that He actually commanded that the day be kept by man. It was not until Exodus 16:23 and the giving of Manna that the Lord commanded anyone to keep the Sabbath. Further, the purpose for keeping the Sabbath was so that Israel would remember that they were slaves in the land of Egypt (Deuteronomy 5:15). Therefore the purpose for keeping the Sabbath could not have been fulfilled by anyone else but Israel, and certainly not by anyone prior to Israel. Further, Deuteronomy 5:1-3 says that the covenant (the ten commandments-Deuteronomy 4:13) was not given to their fathers but only those alive that day and Mount Horeb. Genesis 26:5 begs the question. That Abraham kept God’s commands, statutes and ordinances, does not imply that these were the same commands that were later given to Israel. In fact, Deuteronomy 5:1-3 says that they were not the same because that which had been given to Israel had not been given before.

@@kac0404 Isaiah 56:4-7 tells us the blessing we get when we turn away from doing our pleasure sir. Isaiah 66:23 tells us we will keep Sabbath in Heaven. Sabbath was never questioned for the first 4000 years after Creation. The Apostles kept Sabbath all through the Book of Acts. I believe Jesus would have said something when HE appeared to the Apostles about there should now be a new Holy Day because the 4th Commandment about the Sabbath is the only one that God wrote with HIS Finger and said: "Remember" the Sabbath Day. I probably will go to my grave setting aside Friday sundown until Saturday sundown the way I understand the Bible. I share with people that I study with that I experience real peace and have noticed God's special blessing in my life during those hours versus the other days of the week. Most of Christianity does not believe in the 7th day (Saturday) as the Holy Day of the Bible that is found 36 times in the Scriptures. Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5 do say that the Sabbath is Holy. I look forward to learning more when Jesus Christ returns in the clouds with all of His Angels and HE either resurrects me from the grave or takes me from this earth if I am still alive. @@DanielParsons1 SALVATION CAN ONLY BE FOUND IN JESUS
The context of this passage reveals Peter’s response to a hostile Jewish Sanhedrin. Peter does not mince words. He charges them with the worst crime in the world: they have crucified the Son of God. “...let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole” (Acts 4:10).
The sins of the Sanhedrin were diverse and deadly. A brief summary of their sins would include the following -
      - They rejected the claims of God’s Son, thus rejecting the Father Who sent Him, John 12:48-49.
      - They crucified the Savior of the world (Acts 4:12).
      - They misled people who might otherwise have believed on Him (Mark 15:11).
      - They denied the unanswerable evidence that He was raised from the dead and spread lies to prejudice the Jews and others who might believe in Him (Matthew 28:11-15).
      - They continued to oppose His apostles though they could not answer their arguments or disprove their claims (Acts 3-4).
The general teaching of Scripture from beginning to end is that God wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). He presently delays the coming of His Son in the hope that more will repent (2 Peter 3:9).
Acts 4 shows that God desires the salvation even of His enemies - those who killed His Son and who are still persecuting His apostles. Luke later records that a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7). Jesus had prayed for this response (Luke 23:34). They could no longer resist the truth.
It is sad when men allow their stubbornness to blind their eyes to the word of the Lord. It is sadder still when they influence people to join them in suicidal rebellion. The saddest thing of all, however, is that some people are so determined to have their way that they influence friends and loved ones to follow them into eternal condemnation.
Salvation comes only in Jesus. If some other name (person) could shed his blood to wash away our sins, or if we could save ourselves, we would not need Jesus. All others have sinned and are themselves in need of salvation (Romans 3:23). Our only hope lies in Jesus, the sinless Savior of mankind (John 14:6).

@@DanielParsons1 THE APOSTLES NEVER KEPT THE SABBATH!
      In Antioch in Pisidia
“When Paul and his party…departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down” (Acts 13:13-14). The question then is: did they enter “into the synagogue on the Sabbath day” because they were keeping the Sabbath? Notice: “after the reading of the Law and the Prophets” (Acts 13:15). Why not the New Testament? Because the New Testament was still in the process of being written. The men were invited to speak, “Men and brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say on” (Acts 13:15). Folks, Paul took the advantage he was given and preached Christ “that through this Man [Christ] is preached to you the forgiveness of sins” (Acts 13:38), Paul said that only “by Him [Christ] everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:39). The Law, including the Sabbath, cannot justify. The Law of Moses is now invalid and cannot save one, but the law of Christ, the gospel of Christ, is "the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). If Paul went into the building as a Sabbath keeper, why does the Scripture says he “persuaded them to continue in the grace of God” (Acts 13:43)? But because he was not there for the Law of Moses, including Sabbath keeping, “the Jews … were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul” (Acts 13:45). Why? For Paul said, no one can “be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:39). But that was what they based all their beliefs upon. Paul preached “the word of God ... but … [they] … reject it, and judge … [themselves] … unworthy of everlasting life” (Acts 13:46). Was Paul a Sabbath keeper? The Scripture says no! Because of Christ Paul and Barnabas preached and “the city, raised up persecution against .. .[them] … and expelled them from their region” (Acts 13:50).

God rested from creation on the seventh day and gave the commandment to the children of Israel to remember the Sabbath to keep it holy but now since Jesus Christ the Son of God rose from the grave as our redeemer we as the body of Christ honor God by worshiping on the first day week. Personally to me everyday of the week I worship God but on Sunday I meet and worship with fellow believers. Col. 1:19-20 For it pleased the Father that in him (Jesus) should all fullness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to remember all things to himself, by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Mk. 30-31 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Also please read: [(Law vs Faith) Rom. 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. Rom. 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes. Col. 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days. Gal. 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Phil. 3:9 And be found in him (Christ), not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Rom. 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:] I believe as a body of believers it does not matter what day we come together for worship to honor and glorify God the Father through his Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

John 14:15 and "He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." 1 John 2:4 "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city." Revelation 22:14
There are many sincere Christians who are honestly misguided on the importance of obeying God's commandments. God is calling His people in these last days to return to obedience. His last day people are described in Revelation:
"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12
The commandments have always been God's standard of right and wrong, and breaking the commandments is the very definition of sin (1 John 3:4).
We obey the commandments not to save ourselves (which we can never do), but BECAUSE we are saved - they are proof that our faith is genuine and that we love Jesus. We can obey only by the grace of God alone.

@Mitchell Osmer 2Tim._2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Rightly dividing - 1Co_10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: So the Bible gives three divisions, one is the church of God is made up of Jews and Gentiles.
Deu 5:2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. Deu 5:3 The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. So this covenant was not made with Adam, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, but with those alive at the time of Moses. (and not to the Gentiles). Deut. 5:6-22 are listed all the ten commandments. Which are also called a COVENANT. (An agreement between two parties - conditional in this case - you do this, and i will do this, you don't do this, I am not obligated to do anything). Deut. 9:11, Ex 34:28, Deut. 4:13, Deut. 9:15, Then you have the ark of the covenant - carried by Israel - so named because inside were the 10 articles of the covenant.
Then God is clear: Jer 31:31-35 He was going to do away with that covenant. AND HE DID!! (and before you say something about doing away with the Sabbath, you can do away with murder adultery) No I don't keep the 10 commandments - I have a higher standard. Matthew 5:22 don't kill becomes don't hate, Matt 5:27-28 don't commit adultery becomes don't think lustful thoughts, Don't take the name of the Lord in vain becomes in Matt. 5:33-37 be very careful of what you say. The evidence of doing away of that first covenant: Heb_7:12 “ For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.” Jesus Christ could not be our high priest according to the law, He is from the tribe of Judah, not Levi. Heb. 8:9-13. I point out Heb 8:13 after quoting the passage in Jer., the writer says there is a new covenant. Heb_9:15 “And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.” In Greek the word testament is the same word as covenant used else where. I also point out we have an Old Testament and a New Testament.
Then we have the Jesus appearing to his disciples on the first day of the week. We have the start of the church on Pentecost (another subject), on the first day of the week (Lev. 23:15-16).

And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang (include) all the law and the prophets. I Cor. 6:19 What? If we are truly Christians, we will strive to yield to the Holy Spirit and do works by the gifts of the Holy Spirit which honors and glorifies our heavenly Father. Gal. 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Jesus, Our Great High Priest
In Jesus we have “a great high priest who has passed through the heavens,” who is able to “sympathize with our weaknesses,” having been “tested like us in every way, yet without sin.”
------Jesus’ high priesthood, Hebrews tells us, is different. He has no sin to atone for. He offered one sacrifice, himself on the cross, once for all - and that was enough. While the Jewish high priest entered year after year into the Temple sanctuary with the blood of animals, Jesus has entered the true sanctuary, heaven itself, where he lives forever to intercede for us before God. Jesus’ priesthood surpasses the Jewish Levitical priesthood. He is a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek
-----“Unlike the other high priests, Jesus does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when He offered Himself” (Hebrews 7:27).
      -----Priests of the old covenant
The author of Hebrews paints two images that are high in contrast: the priests of the past and Jesus, the new high priest. The priests of the old covenant were ordinary people, just like you and me. They could only serve for a number of years and eventually they would die, just like you and me. When they offered sacrifices for the people, they first had to offer sacrifices for themselves, because they were sinful people, just like you and me. The sacrifices had to be offered again and again because they never really sufficed to take away sin. This image looks imperfect and dull in color.
      -----Jesus the perfect high priest
And then the author directs our gaze to the other, perfect image that shimmers with bright colors. It shows us Jesus the high priest, who offered up himself as the perfect sacrifice, once and for all (see Hebrews 9:12, 10:14). He never sinned but was holy, blameless, and pure - unlike you and me. He holds the priesthood forever because He never dies but continues forever - unlike you and me. The priests of old were appointed by the law, but Jesus was appointed by the oath God uttered: “You are a priest forever” (Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 7:17) - and this oath will never be changed or nullified.

    IN THESE LAST DAYS, GOD'S
"REMNANT PEOPLE" HAVE AN IDENTIFYING MARK, WHICH INCLUDES "KEEPING GOD'S COMMANDMENTS AND HAVING THE FAITH OF JESUS"(REVELATION 12:17 & 14:12). THIS MARK SHOULD BE ACCEPTED BY EVERY CHRISTIAN DENOMINATION.
I used to be a member of the Anglican Church, but while reading my Bible I found out that God established the Sabbath on the 7th day of Creation. I also found out that it was Emperor Constantine who introduced Sunday as the main day of worship, and it was later enforced by the Popes. I then decided to trust and obey God. Jesus said that if we love Him, we must keep His commandments (John 14:15). Solomon also said that the whole duty of man is to fear God (love, trust and honour God), and keep His commandments. Eccle. 12:13. Therefore, I put this tract together to let others know that even though we are saved by the Grace of God, through faith in Jesus, it is still important for us to keep God's Commandments. I also made it to encourage all the Christian Churches to accept the special mark of Revelation 12:17 & 14:12, and become more united in Christ.
The Roman Catholic Church is presently breaking the commandments, because they removed the 2nd commandment which tells us that we must not make any graven images, nor bow down and worship them. They are also promoting Sunday as the main day of worship, instead of the 7th day Sabbath. If we keep the Sabbath, we will honour God, but if we keep Sunday as our main day of worship we will honour man. let us trust and obey God, and He will supply ALL our needs. Praise God!
Today, there are many Christian Denominations that have established false systems of worship and false doctrines. If you are a member of a Christian Denomination that does not have “the faith of Jesus” or that breaks “God’s commandments”, by making and worshiping images, or by observing the first day of the week (Sunday) as the main day of worship, and rejecting the 7th day Sabbath that was established by God at Creation, I would like to let you know that this is a sign of having the “mark” of the Beast of Rev. 13, which involves the acceptance and promotion of false systems of worship, and false doctrines. Such actions constitute disloyalty to God. According to the Word of God, it is very important for Christian Denominations to encourage their members to love , trust and obey God, and to walk in the Spirit. However, if your church refuses to keep God’s Commandments and other truths of the Bible, I encourage you to speak to your Priest or Pastor about the importance of trusting God and Keeping His Commandments. If your Minister refuses to comply, I encourage you to become a member of a Christian Organization that believes that we are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus, and it also obeys all of God’s Commandments.
As you take the time to investigate this matter, I would like to let you know that the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination is a very good example, because it teaches that we are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus, and it also keeps God’s commandments and other truths of the Bible. I know that some individuals who profess to be born again (spiritually) may not be exhibiting genuine Christian qualities, because they fail to exhibit the fruit of the Spirit and keep God’s commandments, which represent the character of God and His will for our lives. However, that should not prevent us from accepting the truths of the Bible.
When Jesus was on earth, He exhibited the fruit of the Spirit, exercised strong faith in His Heavenly Father and kept His Commandments. This tells us that Jesus is our perfect example. Let us also trust and obey our Heavenly Father, and accept His will for our lives. The Bible says, “Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition...But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Matt 15: 6, 9. "We ought to obey God rather than men." Acts5: 29. Jesus says, “If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” John 15:10. Jesus told the author of Revelation (John) to write what he heard or saw in visions, and send seven letters to seven local Churches that existed in his day (Revelation 1-3). Many Bible scholars also teach that those seven Churches also represent seven stages of the Christian Church throughout history. Presently, we are in the “Laodicean” stage, which represent the last stage of the Christian Church. Therefore, the “Remnant Church” of Revelation 12:17; 14:12 and 19:10 does not consist of just one Christian Organization.
The following texts of the Bible tell us that God’s people have an identifying mark, which also includes the 10 commandments:
Revelation 14:12 - “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
Rev 12:17 - “And the dragon (Satan) was wroth with the woman (The saints of God or the Christian church), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” This tells us that God’s faithful people are all those who are keeping His commandments, and have the faith or testimony of Jesus. Furthermore, if we look carefully at the above text, we will notice that the saints are not just keeping faith in Jesus, they also have the faith of Jesus. They don’t just believe in Him, they follow Him.
Revelation 19:10 - “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” This text tells us that when John tried to worship the angel, that he told him to worship God instead, and the angel also tried to strengthen John’s faith by informing him that the “testimony of Jesus” or the “faith of Jesus”: was prophesied by individuals who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The writers of the Bible were all inspired by the Holy Spirit, and so too were E.G. White and others. Today, the Holy Spirit is still inspiring us as we live the Christian life and preach the “everlasting gospel” to the world.
The S.D.A Church believes that every faithful Christian who keeps God’s Commandments, and has the faith or testimony of Jesus, is a member of God’s Remnant Church. However, if the church you attend refuses to accept the mark on God’s people, according to Revelation, I will like to let you know that the angel of Rev 17:1-5 and 18:1-5 says that we must come out of Babylon. (This is an apostate religious union). “The end-time Babylon in Revelation is a union of false religious systems that includes Roman Catholicism, and apostate Protestantism. These will put themselves into the service of Satan against God's people (see Revelation 13:11-18, Rev. 16:13, Rev. 17:5). This apostate religious union will manifest the arrogance of ancient Babylon in exalting itself above God, and will seek to take His place in the world. The message of the second angel warns God's people that this wicked system will depart further and further from the truth in consequence of her refusal of the light of the end-time gospel message…” The Great Controversy, pp. 390. By trusting and obeying God, and accepting the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are enabled to more clearly see God’s leading and be more successful in life.
As members of "God's Remnant Church", it is very important for us to present the truths of the Bible to the whole world. However, let us not condemn the Roman Catholic Church, and other Christian Organizations that have been involved in false doctrines that are based on tradition, instead of the Bible. Just let them know the correct interpretation of the Beast of Rev.13, and its “Mark”. Let us also tell them how compassionate God is by revealing the prophecies in the Bible, concerning the different ways in which Satan would try to deceive and destroy the Christian Church, and the whole world (Rev. 12:9-17). Therefore, let us hope and pray that the Papacy and all those who have been showing allegiance to the Dragon (Satan),will understand these revelations to be true, and repent before it is too late. I also pray that every Christian Organization, and the rest of the world would thank God for these revelations and remain loyal to Him, instead of being loyal to Satan.
If we accept God’s will for our lives and remain faithful to Him, we would experience greater Security, Eternal Life, and lasting Peace and Happiness. Praise God! It is God's will that the whole world be saved from the "sin virus", but Satan has been attacking us for thousands of years. The Bible tells us that it is Satan's plan to steal, kill and destroy the human family. This corona virus is one of the weapons that he is using to accomplish such a wicked plan.
According to Rev. 12:17; 14:12, all of us as Christians should have the "faith of Jesus", and "Keep God's Commandments" This include the 2nd and 4th commandments) and other truths of the Bible. However, if some Christian Churches do not accept this identifying mark, then those who accept it are being referred to as the "Remnant Church".
I pray that every Christian will obey the truths of the Bible and accept this identifying mark (This tells us that God's people should always Love, Trust & Obey Him). Furthermore, "Having the faith of Jesus" and "Keeping God's commandments", including the 7th day Sabbath, is God's sign or seal, which is His mark of authority. As Christians, we must trust and obey our Heavenly Father, and stay connected to Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

The 7th day Sabbath that you're referring to Rev David Stall in the Old Testament was given to the Israelites and the Israelites ALONE: There is NOWHERE in the ENTIRE Bible where God the Father or Jesus Himself told anyone, that if your read the Bible then you are OBLIGED to keep the 7th day Sabbath. This IDEA of keeping the 7th day Sabbath among the so called Christians was a MANMADE INVENTION And it's NOT Biblical at all.
    Leviticus 23
    New International Version
23 *The Lord said to Moses,*
2 *"Speak to the Israelites and say to them:* ‘These are my appointed festivals, the appointed festivals of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.
3 *“‘There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest,* a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the Lord.
-----IT says very Clearly in the Bible.
Moreover, you claimed that Bible is your SOLE AUTHORITY "Sola Scriptura" and yet you're NOT following the teachings of the Bible by Observing the 7th day Sabbath was NOT given to you.
WORST-STILL: Jesus BROKE the 7th Day Sabbath in the presents of the Jews and the Pharisees:
    John 5:18
    New International Version
18 *For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath,* but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

@@salachenkoforley7382 So my honoring the Lord on the Sabbath is a sin? Further more Exodus 12:38 states - when Israel left Egypt, "a mixed multitude went up with them". God selected the Hebrews to be His representatives on earth. He wanted all to know Him through Israel. Isaiah 42:6 says "I, the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand; I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles'"

@@ctucker7002 : God of the OT did NOT commanded you to keep any Sabbath at all even though the Bible says the the 7th day Sabbath was given to the Israelites and the Israelites ONLY:
      Leviticus 23
      King James Version
23 And *the Lord spake unto Moses,* saying,
2 *Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,* Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
3 *Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;* ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
------It would be sinful for you to kill, fornicate, lying, worshipping false gods etc etc except the keeping of the 7th day Sabbath....because the Sabbath was given ONLY to the Jews NOT to you or the SDAs.
-----The Hebrews DID NOT Always KEEP GOD's COVENANT. IF they did, we wouldn't have had a New Testament of the Bible which says that Christ established a New Covenant in His Body, Blood and Divinity, with Gentiles included:
      Hebrews 8:7-13
7 *If the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no need to look for a second one,*
8 but *God found something wrong with his people when he said,*
“Look! The days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will establish a new covenant
      with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors at the time
when I took them by the hand
and brought them out of the land of Egypt.
Because they did not remain loyal to my covenant,
I ignored them, declares the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
      I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
11 Never again will everyone teach his neighbor
or his brother by saying, ‘Know the Lord,’
because all of them will know me,
from the least important to the most important.
12 For I will be merciful regarding their wrong deeds,
and I will never again remember their sins.”
13 In speaking of a *“new” covenant, he has made the first one obsolete, and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.*
-----Just like what the Bible says: There's NO NEED for a New Covenant if the Old Covenant was still Binding, but since the Jewish keep BREAKING the Old Covenant with God, a NEW Covenant must be Established only this Covenant is ZEALED with the Body, Blood and Divinity of Christ.
----- *And what's OLD and OBSOLETE will soon disappear ALONG with your 7th day Sabbath keeping from the OT.*
