I was walking down the dirt road int between the fields to the bus in the morning somewhere in Finland. Smiling and crying listening to the story of the four moms. Man, the tears come from thinking at it. Pure gratefulness. GrEatitude!
Have an awesome day please. It's on me.

Simon (and Andy), I really admire your work. I’ve watched your interviews for years and subscribed to your channel more recently. My name is Fatima and I’m from Brazil. This episode was particularly moving, because I understand the idea and I love “I wish you pain”, but I lost my why and for last 10 years can’t find it again. I thank you both for the good you spread.

Thank you for a lot of Optimism! 💘. There is definitely something magical about singing together. That doubt feeling trying to tempt us from not pursuing the kind act is always present. Goodness, joy, kindness, peace and love will always trumph. That oxytocin drug that spurs us on is indeed a secret to being happy especially seeing others happy on your account. Inspire on Mr Sinek 🙏 💘.

Grounded optimism. I love it. Even when really hard things happen - find the deepest pain and what you learned from it.
It’s not fluffy... but it’s real.

I like how Andy Grammer plough through, not giving in to his doubt and do it. He rather listen and trust his instincts/intuition. There seems to always be a good reason for it after the fact - some form of emotional/soulful connection or cathartic resolution to it. Another great podcast. Love it. Thank you Simon.

Thank you Simon i'm this kind of person who spread goodness who gives hope to people who willing to help without expectations ,it became stronger when my parents got sick with cancer in the same time i needed to quit my job and spend with them for almost 15 years of struggles and lots of pain and give them hope when the doctors told them the truth in their face that they are going to die. doing good to people it's my parents heritage and i do it with my family friends neighbors and strangers and i'm overwhelmed from the impact this little things do for people and to me.

I really loved this talk ❤️ the part @15:35 for Andy talks about the rhythm of service (which is an interesting concept in itself) and how he has to overcome the voice saying don’t do that really resonated with me. I feel that too, whenever I’m creating, usually about 75 or 80% into the process I ask myself does the world need another car,/fitness/martial arts/ fix my mailbox video? It may be a part of the Dunbar number thing, where when we lived in groups of 150 people, your reputation was super important and if you did something that failed, everyone knew you and knew you failed. Maybe it’s like that now again, with the permanence of the internet recording everything we do for eternity, we feel if we screw up somehow it will hurt us forever, so that little voice says “hey don’t do that. “ Then I ask myself what happens if you don’t do it? Nothing. And since I already know what nothing feels like, I opt for the something I’m creating and whatever outcome follows from putting it out into the world.

I’m a stand up comic. We all got here through pain. And we could have gone dark... and some of us did, we have lost a lot of good comics. But the REALLY good comedians know how to stare into the darkness and turn it into funny.

This one is a good one. Although, I hate it when people pay for the next people in line. I love the intention, but it is not selfless and only causes obligation. There are so many nice and selfless acts that are better choices.

This was so beautiful! It was truly helpful to hear about the hesitation before doing a kindness. That it is common and to keep going. The story about the 4 ladies totally made me tear up. You never know what another person is going through. It’s often that thought that pushes me through the hesitation.

I think sometimes when we hesitate to give a compliment or doing an act of good it has to do with our intrinsic feeling that to do good should be not rewarded within ourselves the right hand know what the left hand is doing
