Another interesting film from one of my favourite stations The filmmakers can only work with what comes through but make it still s very enjoyable watch. I love all the incidental comments that are made from ' screeching brakes of units to comments on livery. From the film's I have seen so far the Tornado s crew approach is by far the best
Well I do try and keep things as honest and as light hearted as possible as I wish to try and retain audience attention for as long as possible. This is definitely one of my favourite stations on the northern section of the WCML
Brilliant again. Love watching videos of Carlisle as you get all manner of trains coming through. Moving away from that, the Flying Scotsman will not be coming through Warrington Bank Quay on Saturday as engineering works are taking place so I'm going down to Crewe to see her on the return from Carnforth. She should be be coming in at around 3pm.
@@Tornado922 l found out that the Northern Belle was hauled by heritage diesels top n tail from Crewe to Preston where the Flying Scotsman was waiting to take over for the next leg to Carnforth and back to Preston where I caught up with it yesterday. A magnificent sight to see and get up close and personal with after it detached and the other diesel loco re-attached for the last leg back to Crewe. Got some good pictures too of this icon of steam. A very memorable day indeed.
You lucky devil!! You have spotted my favourite 158 at Carlisle, 158816. With Perkins engines, she was hellfire on Hull to Scarborough diagrams. Climbing out of Bridlington, she gave the almighty beans. Epic action from Carlisle :-)
@@zarak002 True it is. There are still 158's on Scarborough to Hull diagrams with a daily working by class 170. With most 170's on Bridlington to Sheffield (fast) Some are still on The Harrogate Loop but due to reliability issues, they're coming off that line. I miss 158816, looks like North East/West to see it now.
Awesome video mate, Carlisle delivers the goods yet again. The two 86s, 37 and 90 were absolutely brilliant as they always are. I look forward to the next video. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much, I love coming to this station there is always something good to see, especially when you get steam hauled railtours coming through like there was this weekend
No chance of catching ZZ's here with that screaming Virgins. Awesome sounds, and that West Coast 37 was magic. Great vibe here love the old and new fused together, with that 90 what a Show. Thanks a mint, great work! B.P.
Carlisle is one of my favourite stations and I was up there a couple of weeks back. The 37 was superb and I agree with you about the 86's too. What a shame Northern spoilt your trip though by not providing a 142 for you to film!
This is probably one of my favourite stations to film at up on the northern section of the WCML, the traction seen that day was outstanding. Just a shame that the pacers were nowhere to be seen!!
I’m going to go through this station when I go on tornado on September 14th looks really good also another great video keep up the excellent work The pendolino at the start was just complete ear deafening noise
The turquoise roofed 158 was caused by a bad paint mixture which Northern Rail (Serco-Abellio) decided to use anyway. I believe there are also a few turquoise roofed Pacers.
Lol I seen 2 86’s at Colchester today but couldn’t film it as I wasn’t expecting it going from Coatbridge to Felixstowe and it was blocked by a 321 I belive, and 390125 is my stalker :D have fun in Glasgow tommorow I cant make it as I’m down in London (this is trainspottercraig_2007’s second account by the way)
@@gdcraig4wr843 it was a reference to an earlier video when a while ago where he was at Carlisle it was a 2 part video and there was a brilliant few seconds where the driver of a 37 jilust went max throttle and it sounded great
Been a long time since i have been to Carlisle. Looks like the station still retains its charm. Why do i always think that the 37s sound like a tractor when they give it the beans as u would say lol?
I love coming here, there is always something good to see no matter what time of the day you turn up. They are oddly enough known as tractors because of that noise that they make when they pull away haha
I was rewatching this and when virgin gave out the jelly beans in a pednolino box 390009 (2:45) was the one I got nice to see it in service
Thank-you, just wonderful as always. Have done Tyne Valley to Newcastle, Barrow-in-Furness and Settle to Carlisle, this a very special station for me.
thank you kindly for saying so :)
Great video love the feeling the station gives! The 37 still wowwww thumbs up of course!
thanks Debby!! I love coming here there is always something good to see!

Fantastic video and well done for pointing out which train liveries look great.
And about the tone and acceleration.
thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
Fantastic video, really enjoyed it. Loved the Caledonian Sleeper empty coaching stock, I saw that as well at Lichfield Trent Valley.
Thanks very much, the Caledonian sleeper stock move was a great sight to see

From the looks of things Crewe was the best place to go to catch the vast amount of railtours coming through to go to various areas of the country

Nice video and very nice surprise from the class 37
Thanks very much, that 37 was amazing to see

That id so awesome cheers from Australia

The Class 86s are gonna have to change at Ipswich for a Class 66 or 70 since the branch to Felixstowe Town is diesel only.
The 86's went as far as Crewe where the loco was then changed
1:59 "ZZ Car stop Sleeper". Gotta love someone's sense of humour LOL

Barrow in Furness is my home town and home of ships. If you like ships you should visit there. The dock museum it's called.

Carlisle always was a flange-screechy station. No idea why!
This is the mainline station I most commonly use. I've learned to just sit indoors so I don't have to listen to the banshees.
I got excited news I leaving college tomorrow!
ok
The most haunted station in the UK.
I think me and the ghosts would get along swimmingly
