Y’all be asking the hard questions! 😆 No but seriously. I never thought about how much a mini cake is equivalent to. I just treat it as it’s own product. Aside from that, I also can’t tell you whether it’s one or two cupcakes because we all have different cupcake sizes. My cupcakes are larger than standard but smaller than jumbo! So I could tell you it equals one of MY cupcakes but it might equal 2 of yours! I shared a few posts back how much batter I fill my tins with and that might help you determine your cupcake equivalent. But still keep in mind that different batters bake and weigh differently as well! But if you use my recipes then it will be the same. 😉 Also keep in mind, the mini tins DO COME IN DIFFERENT SIZES. The ones I buy are 6.5oz. Please understand this is all in fun and NOT being asked by customers. My customers DO NOT CARE ok?! 😂
Even though it has the correct name, people are greedy and expect it to probably be a bigger mini cake. But make the mini cakes the way you like and what profits your sales.

You can't just standardize all cake to "I ate about 2 cupcakes worth today", if you're actually dieting and need to measure, you need to measure your food by weight, not by eyeballing how equal it is to the size of a completely different recipe with different nutritional facts. Like if I eat a Hostess cupcake with tons of sugar in it, and then I make my homemade chocolate cupcake the same size, but with half the sugar the recipe calls for because I don't need my food to be that sweet, I don't just enter in my diet journal that I had 1 cupcake, I have to specify if I ate the super sugary 250 calorie Hostess cupcake or my homemade lower sugar 140 calorie cupcake. If the product has a nutritional label on it, you just refer to that and you don't need to measure by "cupcakes" because the label has the grams and ounces of how much actual food you're consuming right there. 1 cupcake sized pound cake has way more butter and sugar than 1 cupcake sized angel food cake, you shouldn't be measuring portions by eyeballing them if you're actually trying to be on a strict diet, and all food you buy is labeled by weight and daily nutrition values. If you make your own recipe, you can plug the ingredients into a calculator for free online, but not every chocolate cupcake will have the same weight and nutrition.
One of those mini cakes could last a long time or be eaten in moderation. There are some foods that I literally eat once per season. Cake is reserved mostly for bdays.

i’d just say it’s two since you use two scoops of batter & typically 1 scoop is used per cupcake, but the fact that you *can* just eat like 1/3rd of it & put the rest in the fridge for later is quite convenient, great for sharing, & ofc great for eating all in one serving! overall, they look extremely delicious! :)
Buy a kitchen scale. Weigh your mini-cake, weigh your favorite cupcake. Divide the mini-cake weight by the cupcake weight and that will tell you exactly how many cupcakes the mini-cake represents. It's too easy to figure out on your own to go bothering the baker with it.

I think they're perfect. I make almost everything in little mini bread loaf pans. And they are considered 1 serving and there a bit bigger then your tins. Like lasagna, pot pies, things like that. But sweets mini bread loaf pans could be cut down the middle and everyone gets 2 servings. I wish I lived nearby bc your cakes look DELICIOUS!!!

Just some advice, you should check at some point to just know your internal expected cost of production per mini cake tin. Helps with understanding your overall unit economics and product margin. If you have really good consistent measurements, you can also extrapolate out from your regular production to know the cost of each ingredient down to the oz relative to how much you're making to assure you're consistently making the same margin per cake tin. May not seem like a whole lot of difference in a single batch, but scale that up to 100, 1000, 10,000 batches it could be a significant amounts of lost margins

I see party favors and/or advertising options for vendors to pass out at events like tradeshows, expos, grand openings, etc. It eliminates the messy process of cutting up a big cake, needing plates, etc. & ensuring you have enough to go around. Cupcakes are cute but they are messy, difficult to display & store. Find a good connection who will help you mainstream this

looks like 3 standard cupcakes basically. Like you could slice it into 3 squares that are roughly the same as a typical cupcake, not those huge bakery ones though. I usually use a measuring cup when doing a large batch so its easier to figure out portions and quantity when you measure it all beforehand. People wanna know the calories in their sweets, so it makes figuring tht out easier too!
Measure by your scoop. Looks like you’re using a 4 oz retractable scoop & deliver 2 of those to each tin. That would 2cup cakes(I use I 4oz/standard cupcake tin).
That's two cupcakes. I have a similar scoop and I use it to fill one cupcake liner. The amount of frosting you were doing is probably equal to two cupcakes as well. Looks yummy!
