Hey can't find caramel how about using dulce de leche Spanish style caramel. It's easy to make if you have the time. a couple cans of condensed milk in the oven or on the stove top on low temperature until it becomes golden caramel brown gives a unique flavor to your cake. There's also American southern style caramel using evaporated milk and granulated sugar
