- To those of our viewers who are unaware, claiming parking lots as private property then charging others to use it is a con has been going on for a very long time here in Russia. During our "raids" we sometimes run into this type of scammers and always report them to the police or try to drive them out ourselves.

what I hated most back in NY was when someone would stand in a public parking space saving a spot for someone. You can't stand there without a car saving a spot for someone ;it's public parking space there's no such thing as saving a space if you don't have a car yourself.

i don't really understand why the public parking lot is through a driveway that snakes behind a private restaurant, but, hey, I guess that's Moscow for ya.

+tjeulink Interesting. Is there proper signage? Usually when you have a public parking lot here, there is a large blue P for public parking. If these signs are properly denoted with a public parking sign, there should be no confusion to cause such a thing like this to happen.

hey man, i'd like to response from another view. in Morocco (northern Africa) it is quite common there is a guard at public parking lots. so basically he does not block you but he does come at you when you have parked and you drive away. People pay him a very little coin because he has 'guarded' your car while you were away. Ethically it is socially acceptable, but logically inacceptable. Hope I made something clear...
also... If these restaurants keep steeling public parking lots they should just steal it and invest in a real guard and real lights. if you steal then do it good i guess?

They do it for money. They get payed more then you and ur whole family combined. You can see commercials everywhere... If they had 0 bucks for this they would never do it. For every 1000 viewers they get average of 1$+ other affiliates. Last 5 videos 200k views by averadge 5 x 200k = 1m and that could be around 1000$ not bad for 5 day work ha? This video has 900k views right now! so 900$ for one day of work! + all that they keep growing every single day!
So what if they make money? Does it really matter. Having lived in Moscow myself once it's a terrible place to drive. I remember very well people driving on the sidewalk and parking on them because they are very wide. This was fine when few had vehicles, but now that everyone owns a car you need some order. Really the Government should be going out and doing this and towing and fining people big $$$$$. They would pay for themselves in fines given.

Their kind of logic is that you should be your number one priority and achieve your goals even if you hurt others or voilate their rights. This is why they are usually successful, sadly. Any kind of productive helpful action to the soceity is a waste of time in their point of view.
They actually dont get paid for the views, they used soundtracks that dont belong to them, RUclips doesn't let monetize videos like that so they have to get donations elsewhere to get by.

Oh trust me, it's not staged. Very popular issue around here. When you aren't filming them they'd even show you documents "proving" that parking lot belongs to X, but it mysteriously disappears from their hands once you try to get it on camera. Which means they're fake.

You guys need to generate enough public interest that someone from the police department, and I truly believe there have to be some good officers in the force, takes interest and is willing to come out when you make the call. And you have to make the call; don't just threaten these people with the cops. At the very least for repeat offenders.

I absolutely stand by you when you challenge people who try and reserve public parking places, but trying to take bollards away from somebody is theft, regardless of if they're using them inappropriately. If you're standing up for the law, you should be careful to stay on the right side of it at all times.

germans in general respect the rules, and they are very efficient.

but sometimes germans follow the rules to the point where common sense gets ignored.
