- I was trying to clear up my my phone and laptop the other day and came across quite a few really nice bits of footage that never made it into final videos for RUclips. I thought they could either languish in a drawer on a hard drive somewhere or I could post some of them. So here is just a tiny fraction of the thousands that exist somewhere on devices and - better still - are always in my own head.
Most of all, though, I know that you probably just want to see Olive and Mabel and check in on them as they are just now - so for either side of the clips, I have an intro from the dogs this morning when they were expecting their first walk and an outro this afternoon when they were feeling exhausted from their day of doing very little…

She’s been gone 4 years now and my current dog doesn’t snore but is a champion cuddler which Maggie was not. Special and endearing in their own unique ways. 💕💕

But, as the human population explodes, it's taking away our walking spaces, and destroying millions of acres of wildlife habitat in order to "build and develop". We lost our silly old bear a few months back and, I think, the thing I miss most is watching him snore happily and peacefully. There is nothing so contented as a sleeping dog.
One of my most treasured memories is my Freckles snoring contentedly under the bed, her snores keeping me company as I drifted off to sleep. The silence is deafening now.

Lovely video - highlights for me include the otherworldly trek through blowing snow on the ground and, of course, the conversation with Mabel on the couch at the end. 😂 Olive's gentle snoring was the perfect fadeout. 😴🐶

So true! My three large dogs hate to go out in our fenced half acre alone because we live in the forest and the resident bobcat scares them. So, of course, I take them - 5 feet and 104 pounds of me…
