There should be a grown-up theme park where we could go out with a chipper like that and clear land. That looks like a lot of fun.

I also hired a mulcher but the man that came had an excavator with a mulch head. I think I like the bobcat mulched better! Way to go! You all are always doing wonderful things!!
That mulcher is awesome to watch. I was surprised it could take down that big tree. The pasture will look great when the grass comes back.

Very gratifying to see the bradford pears take it up the trunk!😂 Leaves a good ground for some good grass and forage seeds, clover etc.

Just and FYI about Braford Pears, even though you have cut it down, the roots will send out runners that will create a thorny bush. I have been fighting this for six years now.......
Have you considered planting some hardwoods as your retirement fund? I'm sure NC has consultants in their forestry dept.

It is so satisfying watching him clear that land
really enjoyed the clearing of the land to produce better food.
Just rented a mini excavator to dig for tile to drain my land, get rid of the standing water. Had some trees that are about 6 inches round used the mini to push the tree right out of the ground. If your trees start to regrow you'll want to dig up the stumps. Put some clover in the bare spot perennial.
If you ever have a chance to use the persimmon to smoke with you should use it, it makes an amazing smoke flavor on pork.

The property look great!🙌🏻 my mom and I live in a development and they have Bradford pears planted everywhere. Two big ones right out front of our house. My mom loves them and I’ve tried to explain to her about the issue’s having them. She won’t cut them down. The smell in spring and the mess from their berries is awful.

When we cleared the back corner of our property line, we found 5 rows of fence in a 20x 100 ft section. I guess every time they couldn't see the fence, they put up a new section. It was such a mess to get out of the trees and bushes. We got wires stuck in the chainsaw a few times and the stump grinder.

That is amazing how it eats up those trees
For fence line cleanup we use a big dozer. We also get permission from the neighbor land owner to push about 15 feet on their side of the fence so that annual rotary mowing maintains the fence line.

Excellent!!! We need to call our guy back out to clear our back dirt road again. We didn't maintain it because we were taking care of my parent when they were sick in Texas.
Having someone clear, and chipped the trees, and under brush saves on your back, time, money, and your land from wild fires....it's well worth the money.

Cedar trees make great fence posts in our area. You might consider saving those to cut down with the chainsaw!

I loved watching this! It's INSANE how powerful that thing is. I can't believe I like watching a forestry mulcher. LOL However, I was kinda feeling sorry for all the birds nests and stuff that probably parished. But, it's part of the whole scheme of things. It had to be done. So how many old tires did you end up having to haul off?
